This past Earth Day was a nice one. One that saw a lot of worthwhile media programming. I saw a lot of 'balance' in them. Much of it was about making people 'aware' ...without threatening. Fear tactics are always lost when used as a way of coercing people to 'do this!' and 'dont do that!' 
One of my favorite little books is called "The Power of Thought" by J.H. Bustanoby. He stresses the importance of what we are focusing on and giving our constant attention to. Focus and attention to anything 'fearful' makes it grow by leaps and bounds. He makes the statement "Be alert...but not alarmed." Simple.Direct. To the point. Fear thrives on attention. So does Love, Peace, and Joy. What do we choose?
When we really start to Awaken from the messes we have allowed ourselves/and or/ the Earth to get into, it is necessary to take a step back...detach...and realize that as 'real' as all of this seems... It is still NOT what it really seems to be. There is continuous movement in what seems to be 'solid.' Our beliefs and attention to 'whatever' is what either changes it or holds it in place. When the Light get brighter inside of us, we begin to realize, more and more, that action is far less powerful than intent and belief. One can't really "fix anything" ... by battling the problem or declaring war on it ... Only a positive approach will allow the wanted changes to happen... when it's steeped in good will, love, compassion, and respect. All those aspects are FAR more powerful when we radiate them...then when we 'preach them.' And like many a wise teacher has said: "Real change occurs when we are willing to 'see' things differently."
Question: Who impresses you more? The vegetarian or 'health foodie' who does nothing but try to scare or shame you for eating meat or processed food? -- or -- the vegetarian or health foodie who radiates joy and who talks to you with respect rather than 'guilt bearing agendas' ?? ... The latter speaks comfortably to my heart...loud and clear; the former puts my guard up and makes me feel defensive. It's not that we shouldn't become aware of the horrendous practices connected to the mainstream food corporations. We NEED to be aware...but being threatened with religion-like fear and guilt conditioned data or statistics will NOT produce change that is lasting. This is true of any and all life situations.
I get curious at times about what kind of Earth changes we (mass consciously) might be in for. You'd have to be living under a rock or at least semi-comatose to not sense the changes taking place. I think the safest statement I can make about this, is that everything seems more intense. The energy/frequencies/vibrations are stronger and things seem to be 'speeding up.' I have talked with no one who doesn't feel that time is 'speeding up' ... To once again quote Einstein: (paraphrased) Time is like a cassette tape. As it nears the end, even though we 'hear it' at an even, steady speed...the cassette itself (time) is speeding towards the end. Do I mean the end of the world? That's all up for interpretation. The physical destruction of the physical world? No, I personally don't think so. We have to remember all different dimensions exist simultaneously... "Ascension" simply means "movin' on up' ...in vibration and frequency to where we are no longer matching the vibrations of certain chaos and disasters. Not meaning to imply the goal is to reach a state of harp-playing perfection. That would be boring! -- but on to more expansive and bigger and better (but still challenging) things.
Whatever we are "in for" ..."WE" will have chosen and helped to co-create. We create by what we give our focus and attention to. Sometimes I forget that. It helps, methinks, for us to actually examine what we DO believe will be happening to Mother Earth and to ourselves --and then ask: "Is that what I want?" It is our CHOICE as to whether or not we believe the fear-mongers who spout the End Times with the worst scenarios imaginable. We tend to forget we are creators and self-empowered aspects of ALL THAT IS. It's not about who is 'right' and who is 'wrong' or who is more 'evolved' or who is still stuck in the 'bluebirds' early learning group.' As much of a shock as this might to be to some folks -- everyone's soul is equal -- even though the current role some may be playing (which is their business and NOT ours!) may make them appear to us as dumber then a pile of rocks, UNenlighted, and sound asleep spiritually... What 'they' do or think is none of our business because we are not here to "save" anyone...(some might disagree with that, also) ... But we ARE here to take care of that person who stares back at us in the mirror...
So, what kind of Earth Days we will have before or after 2012 ...will be up to what "I WANT", what "I FOCUS" upon, and How I give "my ATTENTION" to it . If motivated by Love and Good Will...and NOT fear, we can rest easy and trust the Process of Life. Remember good ol' Gearldine (Flip Wilson) saying "Honey!--what you SEE is what you GET" Yup. The question is: How do we choose to 'see' it? Those of you who understand metaphysics know we will not all be experiencing the same Earth changes...not even the same world.
If we send love to and respect the Earth on an individual basis, and follow what is in our OWN hearts (not listening to other people's threats)... we will benefit Her and She will provide for us.
If, however, we choose to see Her as being on the brink of collapse, destruction, and 'fragile'... Well,--in the words of Jesus: "It is Done Unto You According to Your Beliefs" ... and He wasn't just whistlin' Dixie or talking church dogma... but referring to our own innate, god power within us.
As in the word's of Michael Jackson's greatest (to me!) song: "We Are The World." How do we choose to SEE Her?...and thus, create Her? Hopefully the answer will be the same as in the Mama's and Papa's hit: New World Comin' ..."comin' in Peace, comin' in Joy, comin' in Love." How others perceive it is their choice, their business, and not ours to convince them otherwise. It really, truly IS...a personal thing...
