Our Thinking ... and "Outer Space".... or should I simply say: 'Outa The Box'?? :)

It's so easy, so common to 'think small.' ...as we take those small or petty thoughts and become obsessed and absorbed in them, making situations, relationships, and events grow way out of perspective -- that we tend to forget about the HOW of Letting Go, Staying in the Now, and how keep a sense of spiritual perspective. Suffering is self- addictive. A new perspective came to me while listening to Eckhart Tolle's video "Living Luminaries" in which he explains how most of our thoughts are repetitive...We do tend to be 'creatures of habit'...and if you will be mindful enough to notice, you will see that we keep thinking the same thoughts, day after day after day! We tell ourselves "I know thoughts create" ... but have we REALLY come to terms with the full impact of that truth? I know I hadn't...but watching that video certainly illumined my observation of thinking and the importance of mindfulness! Our unobserved, non-mindful, repetitve thinking causes most of our problems.

"Stop daydreaming and get to work!" is something we heard far too many times spoken by well meaning authority figures who believed they were helping us. I would love to see a class (of very young children) be told "Now, put away those books. I want you to relax, close your eyes, and daydream! Pretend that you can create anything you want." After which -- the teacher would ask them what they had imagined...what they had created. If this seems 'impractical' to you who are reading this -- it is, perhaps, because one might need to realize that we have become SO 'small' in our thinking, stifling so much of our creative abilities and Inner Power. No wonder that Einstein couldn't make it past the early elementary school years! Thank heavens for the rebels who simply HAD to think outside the box in order to exist! Thank heavens for those who truly 'reach for the stars'and are not afraid to be different and truly succeed! ... but not in the ordinary way that enables parents to place those obnoxious bumper stickers on their cars that say "My son/daughter is an honor student at Programmed Thinking High School." Show me an 'ideal student' and I'll show you a intellectualized robot.

What does this have to do with First Contact?...or a 'real' landing that will make news on CNN? A lot, I believe. If you saw the movie "What The @#$! (Bleep)"... you'll remember the native islander was unable to 'see' the gigantic ship approaching. He had no frame of reference. He could see/perceive only that which was within the scope of his daily sensory experience. After it was 'described' to him, he began to 'see' it (literally). It was both an awesome and frightening event for him. This is pretty much how we may react when it comes to thoughts of entertaining the idea of life on other planets and what we call 'aliens.' At least we have been introduced to all of those 'sci fi' ideas! For many, it is now simply a matter of what they _choose to think_ and _choose to believe_. To those who may be reacting: "Oh come on, let's get real, get practical...we have enough problems here on Earth to solve!" --may I point out that it's that type of thinking --hemmed in, boxed in, repetitive, habitual thinking with one's FOCUS on the battling against 'problems' that is keeping it all active and alive! People who believe that "doing something!" (physically) is the only answer are not cognizant of 'what you resist, persists' ... a basic Universal Law of Attraction. So many people seem to totally blow off , as unimportant, what they are thinking about when it comes to all/any of their conflicts with others...giving NO credence to the way thoughts create! Paying constant homage to 'reality' is the most mind-suffocating stance we can assume...when we believe that 'reality' is rock-solid and unchanging. All that reality is -- is what already has been created...and it is only our focus upon it that keeps it 'real'... If we keep feeding the dragons, they'll keep breathing fire at us.

To add to this (what may be confusing to some) mix... I believe none of us experience the 'same' reality... we may share similar ideas, but even those are perceived differently. Many of us have already had 'close encounters.' We have seen 'space ships' ...we have encountered 'aliens' and UFO's first hand. What we have to do is stop worrying about what OTHERS think. Allow them to choose the perpetual problems they keep re-instigating day after day by their repetitive thoughts and refusal to expand their thinking. Someday they will become 'aware' of this. It's all OK. As Gilda Radner used to say on SNL: "I'm Ok, You're Ok ...I'm my own best friend." ...and for those of us who are 'different' -- we have to remember that! What others think is their privilege. When we Think- Feel-Good-Thoughts about Contact, Landings, with all the spacious possibilities -- it LIFTS our spirits up, it expands our consciousness, and allows our Souls to breathe!... I am not inferring 'escaping Earth and its problems'...This is a wonderful place!!-- (when we choose to look at it that way!) Thinking 'larger' helps to keep things in perspective right here on Good ol' Planet Earth.
We always have a choice. Let's choose the thoughts that free us. Let's think outside the box. It's a big Universe out there! It's easy to believe that we are experiencing what we think of as the 'same world' in the same way. But we are not! We continuously interchange (due to our frequencies and vibrations) within different dimensions on an ongoing, eternal basis. Don't ever think that 'everybody has to' have the same experience at the same in order for it to be 'true.' Think about that.

When Hurting Turns Out To Be Helpful

There are times when we all feel really hurt...by someone or by some event or situation. Sometimes the sting of that pain is so upsetting that it has us convinced it will never go away...that it will continue forever. But it will eventually dissipate. What can keep those fires of pain kindled is our own determination to "never forget!"... The phrase "Lest we Forget" is a totally screwed up one. NO ONE ever has--or will ever -- 'learn' from concentrating or focusing on any kind of past pain, destruction, or disaster. It is only when we choose to take responsibility and learn from what we have experienced will we gain Insight and Freedom. This decision...this choice is the balm that heals the pain.

When something happens that causes us pain or anger... upset of any kind.... it is natural for us to want to play The Blame Game. I am not saying that whoever it was that 'done you wrong' wasn't wrong... Maybe they were. And maybe you have all kinds of proof, back up, evidence, etc etc...that the other person was/is completely at fault. I have found, however, through much life experience -- that it is actually easier for a person to be the one in the wrong... I have learned (not that I don't occasionally forget!) that life is SO much easier, so much more simple and uncomplicated to say (and mean it!) "I was wrong." "It was/is my fault."...and then take responsibility in whatever is the best way -- to rectify whatever problem I might have caused. To admit to a wrong is so freeing. "Being the one who is wronged" is far more challenging to the Ego.

Even though we could not function very well without our Egos because we need to be able to use them. They represent our Identity in our chosen incarnational roles. They are not 'bad' as such ...but oh boy, and ay yi yi -- when we allow them to get out of hand they are most harmful to us. The unharnessed and unobserved Ego is what invites painful experiences into our lives. Thus, we 'learn.'

It's very hard at times to dispense with our angry "Yeah, But's!!!" When someone says "But wouldn't you rather be happy than right"...our knee jerk reaction (in all honesty) is: "HELL no!! I'm right and I want others to know it!" After all, we were 'right!'...We can almost hear the choirs of angels singing our glorious praises and we just KNOW that the other guy is really gonna get his (or hers!) And we can hardly wait! After all --they 'deserve' to suffer and be punished. So then, for a time, our Ego is all smug and delighted...but, the bigger the Ego's meal was -- the more demanding and hungry it will become.

"There was absolutely no reason for him/her to do that to me." We love that one because it sanctifies us all the more. When someone tells you "Just let it go" ... you want to punch them (initially...) I like what Seth suggests handling these strong emotions. He suggests that one STAYS with our 'negative' emotions rather than try to suppress them (which doesn't give you license to punch anyone!) ... Otherwise, unexpressed emotions can take some really self-endangering turns. In meditation, pretend you are in a room with two doors...an Entry and an Exit door. There is only one chair. (You don't want to get toooo comfortable!) Then, when you feel you are really tired of those self-righteous feelings --picture yourself going out the Exit door. NOW you will be more easily able to connect with Source. You may not be completely free of those negative emotions, but they WILL subside (unless you purposely CHOOSE to host them) Now here comes the part that can be difficult to heed: "I STILL must remember: I Create My Own Reality"...and this also includes WHY whatever 'wrong' came your way was something that you may not have created--but you DID _allow_ into your experience. And allowing can be a fantastically wonderful form of Creation...It simply is responding to the Law of Attraction. Faithfully.

This past month I have 'been hurt' a number of times. My emotions were in a constant state of flux. Oh you bet I went through the 'planning stages' of how I was going to get even with the 'bad guys/girls'... And there were my pity-pot times when I would cry over 'why is this happening to me' ... and the enemy lines were drawn! !! I went through the usual inner battle of coming down on myself for even letting them get to me... and that only makes it worse (really important lesson here) Back to Seth's room. Finally, you just Let It Go and let the Universe message you as to what its really all about. That took a number of days.

Finally! Voila!! --it dawned on me that all this 'stuff' I have been going through was a SIGN ... Not that it meant instantaneous and continuous joy forever amen... but gradually it grew and I was able to see through my own fears for not being able to make some important decisions. And when I Let Go...and fully accepted it and stopped blaming ANYONE ... I felt absolutely delighted.

I know you may think "Yes, but my case is not that easily solved" ... but I promise and guarantee you that you will NEVER heal by hanging onto blame, getting even, and seeing yourself as a poor, piteous victim!! All that does is serve us prison bars that will keep you from healing and moving on...and seeing even BETTER things ahead.

We all are drama queens. In different ways. At different times. So what? We live. We learn. We Expand. We Move On... and in the meantime, we are finding more Inner Peace... derived from the one thing that we must do in order to attain it. Put All Blame aside and assume Self-responsibility.

What Will 2012 Bring to YOU?

So many stories. What to believe? Is it just another 2K disaster fluke? Or is there something to the talk about an Apocalypse occurring in 2012?

According to present day Mayan shamans and elders...this is an extremely important year -- but _they_ never prophesied 'a destructive end of the world.'

With mass consciousness offering up such a diverse and powerful focus on 2012, one can be assured that many significant changes will occur. Granted, there are many people who have not the foggiest notion what the Mayans, the Mayan Calendar, and the year 2012 are all about... however, I am convinced that everyone is feeling some kind of change. ...even though some may not verbalize it -- or understand what is happening.

Doomsday prophets and prophecies have always existed. The Year 2012 has received more attention than any other 'prophetic date' in history. What I am 'sure' of is this: With all the focus upon this new year -- it WILL affect anybody who has even the slightest interest in all these prophecies. Whether one calls it 'the end' or 'a shift' ... it will produce significant changes in our lives. Most of us are already aware of this. I am not, however, one of those people who believe some kind of catastrophic disaster will occur that bring an end to the planet.

I do believe in the Apocalypse... but not as commonly mis-interpreted. The original meaning of this word means a thinning of -- or lifting of--the veil. It means things will be revealed or made known. Many people are 'seeing through' the dishonesty and manipulation of the so called 'sacred institutions' that people dare not question before. Already this is happening daily. Naturally this will cause upheaval and all kinds of upset because people will be angry when finding out how much we have been programmed, controlled, and lied to. But this is still all for the ultimate good.

Not only will these things be brought to Light...it will also include those things we have hidden deep within ourselves. We have to remember that whatever happens on 'the outside' of us is an observable expression or representation of what is a vibrational match within us. Yes, time IS going faster! The energy IS stronger!... which is causing beliefs to manifest very quickly. Nothing is healed as long as it is denied. One can't put a happy face band aid on a problem and pretend it doesn't exist. We, first of all, have to make peace with what IS. All of our "Problems" have their basis in our faulty, non-beneficial beliefs. We create our own reality if we believe we do or not.

Faulty, hurtful beliefs have to be faced, seen for what they are doing to us, then thanked for 'showing us'. Then NEW beliefs must be adopted in their place and given our attention and focus. All a belief is -- is a thought we keep thinking and we erroneously think is 'true' or 'fact.' We don't 'get rid of' faulty beliefs. Everything exists. What we resist, persists. What we DO is decide what we WANT to believe and then our focus and attention to it.

What does that have to do with 2012? Everything! The SHIFT that is occurring and is still occurring is about mankind's personal and mass consciousness expanding and evolving... in a big way. I realize that without an understanding of meta or quantum physics .. this may seem a bit off the wall.

The Shift...the 2012 prophecy as talked about by the Mayans has to do with shifts in consciousness which will result in manifesting the outward physical phenomena. NOT the other way around! --although it may seem that way to those who do not recognize the Law of Attraction....but that is the Illusion. That is what we have to get beyond.

As we progress through this year, with the energy as strong as it is -- it is becoming increasingly more important that we FOCUS ON WHAT WE WANT ...not... not... not upon what we do not want. This involves all facets of our everyday life. What we think, what we concentrate upon, what we give our energy to, what actions we take, and how we honor ourselves...AND...our fellow man and all things, great or small. The world we will experience will be that of our own creation. Be careful who or what you align yourself with. I am not meaning for anyone to think they must become a sort of spotless, flawless saint..! or I'd never make it! Just follow your heart. We all have GOOD hearts. I believe that! When Joseph Campbell said "Follow Your Bliss" ... he was talking about our own, individualized journeys. We must follow what makes us genuinely feel good, joyful, at peace, and yet excited about life!! I believe that the Year 2012 can be the year in which we really and truly discover and harness the God-Goddess-All That Is-Source-Power that lies within each and everyone of us. It can be a grand journey. If we truly WANT it...and ALLOW it...to be.

SETH ON CHRISTMAS:

"Do not think that Christmas is too camp. In your civilization, when you allow it to, it speaks to the child in you. Accept the child and enjoy the myth, for behind the myth there is truth, and the truth is that you are reborn. And the truth is that the inner self does have the wonder of a child. Other stories have been wound about those truths, but the truths remain.The god Pan has as great a validity as Christ has. The names change; the stories change to fit your ideas and your civilization. Now, I prefer Pan piping his magic flutes over the countryside and drinking wine, to a Christ born to be crucified. But that is my idea; you pick your own. Behind all the myths is the reality. You are born with the wonder of a child again to remake the world in a new image. Christmas should represent the rebirth of the self. 'Seth Speaks' should be called 'You Speak.' So listen to yourselves. It is fashionable to think in terms of Buddha and Eastern religions. And it is not fashionable to think of the infant Christ, for example. So you are "in" if you think of Buddha, and "out" if you dare to let a tear show when they play a Christmas carol. The same thing is involved. You are still dealing with systems of beliefs and myths that have grown through the ages. And each of them has their degree of validity and their degree of distortion. Santa Claus -- Ho Ho -- is relatively harmless considering what your religions have done. If you are bad you get a hunk of coal, and if you are good you get a goody. But what about a god who says if you are good you will go to heaven and if you are bad you burn through all eternity? Place your indignation where it belongs!

All of the gods in your myths die and are rewarded -- from the time of your ancient memory, and through the ages of the memory of your race.So it is simply said again and again, in terms that you understand, according to the time in which you think you live: That you are born again and again, and the trials of the gods are your own, and so are their triumphs and their joys. The symbols used are also colored by the times, and they are personified, so winter and the cold that sweeps across the earth are used to symbolize the death of the soul.Not a death, however, but transformation. If you understood your myths, you could use them effectively. When you think that they are reality, however, they can entrap you. You are the stories that the Soul tells. You are your own stories, and you create your ideas of God according to your interpretation of greater realities that you understand and do not understand. You are catching up with your own understanding, but as soon as you understand, there is more to learn because creativity is never still and never done and never finished. In other worlds there are other Christmas tales, each with their own story and rhyme. But none of them denies the intense and eternal NOW which is being forever created and in which you have your quite natural existence. And none of it denies the joyful vitality that is your own, neither the bewilderment in your eye, nor the pleasure in yours.All of this is meant to illuminate the joy and ease of your own being, and meant to generate within you, if you will forgive me, that old Ho Ho Ho -- the vitality and the laughter and the joy that is your being. If you understood thoroughly what I am trying to say to you, you would be laughing with me and enjoying your own grizzly beard and hair, and, as you looked around at each other, you would see yourselves as all ages, reborn time and time again and with your identity alive within you now.

The truth is not something apart from you. You each are truth, speaking and living in physical form. Seth Speaks is within you and not in a book. You are the book. Then joyfully listen to what your feelings tell you. Your thoughts and your feelings are both natural and both yours. And your joy is within you, Christmas or non-Christmas, Santa Claus or no Santa Claus, December 25 or the 4th of July. Your atoms and molecules shout with the joy of their own being; listen to them.Feel within their fleshy substance your own spirituality. Look at the Christmas tree; your cells and molecules shine a million times more brightly. Your eyes glitter with far greater light. You are love in corporeal form. You do not have to look for it or wonder where to find it or give it in packages with bright ribbon. You are packages with bright ribbon. Christmas is now and was yesterday and will be tomorrow.It is in you, in Buddha, in Pan, in Christ, in Mohammed, in an ant and in a frog, and in your eyes and with you, each of you.

You are each, then, Christmas. You shine and glitter whether or not you know it. You shout "Merry Christmas" even when you cry. You cannot deny your own vitality or being. Let the vitality and energy, therefore, ring out through your own knowledge. Let it awaken within you the knowledge of your being. Dance through your own molecules and scatter your own petals!"

Sports Fans!! -- Tebow Is Out Of The Closet!! Should he be?

It's all ridiculous. And I will admit that, momentarily, I allowed myself to get caught up in it. So, I am not 'pointing fingers' at anyone regardless of their opinion of Denver's new savior: Broncos Quarterback Tim Tebow. He has a number of nicknames, including The Messiah of Mile High, and with some of the more radical devotees of football, the term is no longer 'praying' ...it's 'Tebow-ing'... I don't happen to be a sports fan... and if one IS...hey, that's OK, too. Kept in perspective, it can be enjoyable. When it goes beyond that -- it's insanity. Sports fans from all over the world tend to forget 'it's just a game'...They seem to have a desperate craving to identify with 'their team'--as opposed to 'the team.' I think a jolly and profitable new business might be the creation of exorcists who can loose radical fans of their possession of--and over-identification with --their team. It's much more than 'getting a little over-excited about winning or losing' ... In Denver, police are called for more cases of spouse or child beatings more than any other time...if and when the "Broncos lose a game." That is why I call it insanity. I wonder, sometimes, if Tebow were Muslim -- and whenever he would score a touchdown, he would drop to the ground, bowing (Te-bowing?? heh! ) to the East and shout, Praise Allah!! -- I wonder what the Mile High reaction would be? That would undoubtedly call for him to be excommunicated from the NFL... and he would become a terrorist suspect, I am quite sure. Some say they are proud of Tebow because he is not ashamed to 'declare his faith publicly and openly'... Is that what it is? Anybody remember the Biblical story of the Pharisee who made a public display of his prayers and generosity? Perhaps Mr. Tebow should wear on his face (he has various scriptures chapters and numbers written on the blackened part under the eyes) the Biblical verses of Matthew 6:5-6 where it is suggested to NOT make a public display... but to go into the closet to pray. That certainly gives a whole new meaning to 'in or out of the closet'...eh? Christians themselves seem to be divided on this subject. I think what 'side' one chooses to align with might likely be dependant upon several aspects of one's belief systems. Is Tebow 'witnessing' for Jesus? Does anyone with two active brain cells actually believe that the Great Teacher Jesus gives a flying donut hole about SPORTS TEAMS!!! Good goddess Gertie...!! Herein, to me, lies the problem of making what one calls their God out to be a Super HUMAN kinda guy ...Jesus included. To me, this is like making the idea of God or Jesus into a 'good luck charm.' That is sad. Very sad. I can't help but wonder why Tebow had to choose to make a public display of his 'faith.' Wouldn't it be enough to inwardly 'thank' his God? (some suggest he should be thanking the Defense)... Surely God could 'hear' this, right? What drives him to 'go public' with his actions? Is it REALLY between him and God ... or is it more than that. To me, it's more like the Jehovah's Witnesses showing up at your door, driven by a need to 'witness.' Or like the men in black...no...not the X-Files here, but the Mormon's who feel compelled to openly witness...or the Phelps family from the Westboro Baptist Church...to witness to what they honestly believe is the 'right thing to do.' I believe that Tebow knew that his actions would be both sensationalistic and controversial. Is this the 'Christian way?' I can't help but wonder what the reactions will be when and if the Broncos lose! Maybe it will simply be pawned off to 'God's mysterious ways.'... Or...let's say...the Broncos make it to the Super Bowl...AND win... Will this mean that God is sending a message to the world to follow Him and the ways of Tebow? I am quite certain some will see it that way. To each his own. To me, if any 'good' will have come out of all of this ... it might be that it simply gives us pause to think about how scary is our attachment to a 'winning or losing' sports team.

Our Personal Beliefs About The Constitution ... It's important we recognize the correlation...

You might check that article out... I think you will find it interesting and thought provoking in the way it speaks about the idea of 'constitution worship'...
Many Americans consider the 200 yr old document to be sacred, flawless, and so pure that even a little smudge of ink besides one of the words has caused endless debates as to how it might 'alter a meaning that would directly effect each and every American.' You must admit that is strangely amusing...I believe some folks would far soon take issue with Biblical words and phrases than 'mess with the Constitution.'
We are the ONLY country in the entire world that has never changed its original Constitution...did you know that? There are many historians and philosophers who have contributed very thought-provoking ideas as to why we consider this document to be no less than 'sacred.' This is what I would like to share with you.
Many people have been mind controlled via fear-based religious teachings, making it easy for them to transfer this same loyal allegiance to our "sacred documents"... the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution... I suppose the Amendments must also, therefore, be 'Inspired' also! ... Although fundamentalism deserves to be at the top of the list, I'm willing to go out on a limb and say most religions have instilled a sense of 'unworthiness' in their followers, the idea of having to be saved, and always look towards those who 'know better' ... So with this mind set, it was easy for 'transference' to take place which made it fairly simple for those who 'control' us...namely the Powers That Be.
Because of this blind-faith attitude, the idea of Questioning Authority of ANY kind automatically puts one in the suspicious light: baaaad American! perhaps a Traitor ... even a potential 'terrorist.' Sorry, people, but I exaggerate not.
Is it any wonder then, that we have little 'open' support for our Occupy Protestors? "They're just trouble makers who don't know what they are talking about..." Yeah...sure... To refuse to participate with civil disobedience when necessary because it's against the law to 'sit on the sidewalk' or for passers-by to 'honk their horns' at them... is ridiculous.
To be a good citizen means one must be a 'law abiding' citizen who obeys without question, thus making him/her an 'upstanding member of the community.' Many like to think of America as a "Christian nation.' Although it seems to reflect very, very little of what the man Jesus taught. In America, the word "Christian" tends to be thought of as synonomous with the word "good" or "right." The fact that it is ALL 'highly varied human interpretation" is totally not recognized. This is indeed unfortunate. To some, even all of our "laws" are nothing less than sacred -- never to be questioned or defied.
Are you aware that America has MORE LAWS than all those of Europe put together? And yet who is the 'leader in crime' in the world? Yup. Us. So someplace, somewhere along the line, people are going to have to stop thinking of laws and documents as something that is as Infallible as the Pope or God sitting on his Throne... Here is where 'fear' gets a real grip on far too many people.
Someplace, somewhere along the line we are going to have to overcome that fear and examine and scrutinize our own attitudes and ideas. This will entail knowing what we truly WANT ... not just fighting and bucking against what we do NOT want. We will attract what we focus upon. You can't fool Mother Nature OR the Law of Attraction!
Someone asked me once: "If you could give the whole world one message...what would it be." I stole the answer from a speech I heard someone give! I said "I would say Question Authority...and then think about things when there is no one else around to agree or disagree with you and ask 'how does this REALLY make me feel?" Not meaning my ego-ridden ideas of Right or Wrong... but how aligned am I to the spirit within.
I know I am guilty of it, too -- but we ALL have to get past other people's ideas of what is right or wrong... and really start to think for ourselves. We must learn to LET GO of the idea of 'sanctity' of any one country, one constitution, or one set of human-made Laws and Rules... and to trust that someplace within us is a far greater inward knowing which means overcoming a lot of programmed fear of DARING to question any and all 'authority.' Too many have no idea where this 'authority' even originated.
I DO honestly believe things are 'getting better' --and I also believe it will entail some big upheavals of sorts....perhaps necessary in order so that people will become willing to Let Go of what is not working. It all begins with believing in -- and thinking for -- ourselves...displaying a willingness to Let Go of those stubbornly held ideas that are not working!!.... We need to believe in the goodness which exists in every single person...regardless of how well it is 'covered up.' And some seem to do that quite well!! However, that can be the beginning of Awakening and coming into Awareness. That is Enlightenment. I always end each article with "Namaste' " It's more than just a 'nice greeting' ... It means: "the Soul in me acknowledges the Soul in you"... We best be careful what we want and what we wish for ... wishes and wants (beliefs) have a way of coming true. It is best, perhaps, if we remember that for our sake... what we want needs to be based on what is for the highest good ...of all concerned.

The OWS Protests...and The Summer of Our Discontent

In spite of it all; in spite of any and all appearances -- I DO believe, with a great steadfastness...that things ARE getting better. That may not sound very profound, and yes, it's been said many times before; and it's very simplistic, but that's all OK. Sometimes we simply have to over-simplify things so that we can begin to clearly observe the overwhelming vastness of all that is taking place around us. This includes the Occupy Wall Street protest event. It seems strange to me that so few have asked "How did it all get started?" ... "What caused this?" I think we tend to 'accept without question' so much of what goes on around us....and how it relates to our lives. So how DID the OWS protest 'start?' 'What happened?' To borrow a phrase, I believe it 'happened' because we seemed to have experienced a very strong "Summer of our Discontent"... It was during this past summer I noticed that the energy was becoming SO pressing, so defining, and for me, very challenging. Whether or not people interpret this 'strong energy' in the same way I do, makes little difference. I believe everybody is experiencing it, if they label it or not. Occupy Wall Street is SO much more than striking out at the injustices of money and power based control systems -- of not only our country, but countries around the world. It's about an Awakening within us that is causing a surge of discontent felt around the world. Because of this growing Awareness people are finding themselves questioning ...and again, putting it as simply as possible...we are trying to figure out 'what is going on?' We are in a 'new place' and realizing there is no going back again. All of those trusted old comfort zones --those places of habitual refuge -- seem to be disappearing. Nothing FEELS the same anymore... and it won't ever 'feel the same' again. We evolve and re-evolve, individually and as a species. Humanity on Earth, in this particular moment in time, is going through some dramatic growing pains. (again!)
As much as we would like to think that difficult or unwanted scenarios are caused by something or someone out there...outside of ourselves ... this is not true. This doesn't mean that we have 'done anything wrong'...but it does indicate growth and expansion are taking place. Most definitely: "the times--they are a-changin' "...and this time -- BIG time. Everything is symbolic. Everything that manifests is an outward symbol of what is taking place 'inside of us' -- being projected outwardly and visibly. OK...back to 'simplicity!' Just how exactly can any of that info relate to these 'protests?'
Mass consciousness wise -- I see it as a reflection that people are finally realizing that we have allowed ourselves to be manipulated, programmed, and so very dumbed down -- to the point where our being endowed with "inner power" ...sounds about as alien as space ships in one's own back yard. (Maybe they ARE there...and we just don't see them. ) I like the way the Pleiadians (re B. Marciniak) talk about our lives as humans here on Earth. To look at it as one Big Game we are playing makes it all easier to digest... We are all powerful creators, part of the Great (and totally inconceivable and un-nameable) Energy Force of the Universe(s)... but we have managed to go into Game Level 10...which involves totally agreeing to forget who 'we really are.' And I must say, we did a hellava bang-up job of doing that. But Now! we are reAwakening once again...at least many of us are. We don't all do things at the same time. Once again, for simplicity's sake, let's just pretend most people are aware of this Occupy movement. Some are 'aware' of the protests and are content to believe everything the 'news' feeds into them. Some don't have the foggiest notion WHY this event is taking place. They have made up their own reasons to their satisfaction, a lot of which is not very flattering to the Occupiers. EACH of us brings to the table our OWN experiences, so that when we 'judge' anything that is happening , it is filtered through those ideas and accepted beliefs of what is 'right or wrong' based on what we choose to believe. I enjoyed the heck out of protesting in the 60's and 70's... I LIKE drama, I like getting INTO things...and even though I may 'pay more' in emotional tolls than those who sit silently and stoically (and maybe a bit self-righteously :) on the sidelines, the times I have enjoyed life the most was FAR from dull or boring.
The responses to the Protesters have been SO varied... from unflailing and unquestioning support of ALL of them regardless of what they say or do -- to -- those who condemn them for simply 'stirring up trouble' --and are positive they have it all wrong... Naturally, we are all convinced 'we' are "right" regardless of what our view point is...and we are as equally convinced that the others are idiotic beyond hope. C'mon...you know its true! If we could all just get to the point where we could do two basic things: #1: emotionally detach...and #2: get the Ego out of the way and realize that "reality or truth" is only a conception, or a belief, and is very tenuous, subject to constant change. I don't always like to look at it that way, either!...but I DO know 'it's the way it is!... If we can just step back and be a Watcher...or an Observer... and without prejudice, 'see' what is happening from a spiritual stance, perhaps we could then see that regardless if we agree or not with what is happening, we could then sense it is caused by a stirring from within the souls of human to take back our INNER power!!...not the stuff that money, controlling power and greed is made of ...but the kind of inner power that sets us FREE and allows us to realize that regardless of what the 'outcomes' are with all the dramas going on ...we STILL create our own personal 'reality!'... and as the P's have told us..."you can walk calmly and serenely amidst all the chaos and destruction and be safe..." When enough people stop fighting and want peace and harmony...truly want it...then a critical mass will form and we will experience glorious changes!
This means we need to accept that what we focus on must be 'seen' with love, tolerance, and well being for ALL concerned...and not settle for temporary victories by battling what we are AGAINST.
I believe we need to SEE our own Dragons!...we need to SEE what we have allowed to be created, which is a miserable imbalance that government is reflecting in so many ways.... But just remember: we FED those Dragons...and the more hate we feed to them, the longer they will exist. We cannot depend upon 'others' to do the work of 'cleaning things up.' We will never produce 'saintly politicians' until mass consciousness is at a point where they will emerge on the scene. It will always be up to 'us'...not 'them.' We truly have to BE the change we want to see. Sometimes I forget...and yet... its ok to get angry and spout and carry on at times. I don't have any designs on becoming a hallowed nebulous blob that never does anything wrong... But!--if its not FUN...and if it doesn't make us _genuinely_ Feel Good... don't do it... A temporary ego-based 'victory' will only breed more of the same problems we want to get rid ot. Everybody connected to Occupiers --whether you support or do not support them-- needs to realize this: We will never destroy the Dragons on Wall Street or the puppets in Government or in any of our other 'sacred institutions' until we face them taking responsibility for what _we_ have allowed to happen. What do we do then, one may ask? Good question, isn't it? Each one of us has to figure that out...each one of us has to be willing to ASK ourselves 'what must I do' to experience the change I want to see. I can't give you an instantaneous magical answer. That is up to you. I can only look within myself and ask that same question. We must trust: because the answers are there. Within our souls.

Be Careful About Giving Your "Honest Opinion"...AND..what IS.Spirituality?

Beware! If someone asks for your 'honest opinion'... I would highly advise you to follow four steps.

1) size up the person for his openmindedness

2) draw upon your 'past experience' with this person's reactions to anything that is 'different'

3) and THEN, tempting as it may be to offer your 'honest opinion'... realize its a gamble you are taking.

4) (this one kinda makes me wince...) just play around a bit with the person and be ever so 'politically correct'... Or play dumb.... Because!-- they do NOT want your honest opinion...they want to be agreed with, validated, and perhaps even praised for their opinions.

This is pretty easy to do for people who don't have too many experienced brain cells clanging around in ye olde belfrey...they are 'safe' in being honest in their naivity --giving the party of the first part a golden opportunity to instill upon that person their 'opinion!' :)....which is not so much an opinion as it is their iron clad, steel girded, impenetrable version of (drum roll....!) The TRUTH.

In my case (if you will forgive a few exagerations just to color it up a smidgeon...) when someone asked me for my 'honest opinion' --before all was said and done, the whole situation took on an atmosphere found in the movie "Fatal Attraction" ...where the "one" who is obsessed with "I am right" simply won't...goooo awaaaay...!

The old saying: One should never argue politics or religion is true. In my case, it was unwise to respond to this Email with a polite: "I don't believe that is the truth." Additionally I added a link that expressed my views on this subject which, unfortunately, included BOTH religion and politics. I didn't get 'emotionally' involved in it -- just passed it on. To me, it wasn't a 'big deal.' The response I received to this was that he was "hurt and deeply offended by my 'hatred' of this religion" (never indicated that) and this person is now 'extremely disappointed in my outlook.' See wut ah mean, Vern? --about no one really wanting your 'honest' opinion. :) So... without apologizing for my 'opinion' (I hardly expected HIM to, either) I did sincerely offer my apologies for having hurt his feelings. I meant it. I had thought of this person as a friend for a few years.

The return response was that I need not offer any unnecessary apologies, but he was 'extremely concerned' about my views....and would 'like to discuss this with me sometime in person.' Heavy sigh, eye roll, a few expletives....(on my part..)

Trying my best to show forth a beauteous and shining example of the ultimate in Political Correctness... I simply responded with, 'just so you know my apology was sincere' (although it was beginningto lose its edge...) and added, 'please, do not worry or be concerned about my opinions...thats all they are...opinions...and we each have a right to our own.' I was hoping that would be end of discussion.

But, the saga continued with "Let's meet and discuss our spiritual paths"...He would be 'interested' in my spiritual path... Yeah...right.. This time I thought Enough is Enough...so I simply never responded. He had made some real digs at my newsletter blog saying he sees 'nothing spiritual' about it...so how could I use 'spiritual' in the title?...he wonders. Enough was definately enough...I didn't respond. I just wanted to drop it. However --Yesterday I get yet another Email that literally oozed and dripped with eloquence and ...yes ... with extreme political correctness.

Since he has been fair enough to offer to sit down with me to discuss our spiritual paths like 'two adults' (and I am obviously failing to recognize this)... its therefore best that we 'limit our correspondance' ...unless a death occurs within our group of friends, to advise the other of said death. (yup...he said that!!) Otherwise he suggested we should 'act as if we are happy to see each other' and be cordial amidst our coffee drinking buddies. So, he wants any further communication to come to an end. It's one of those incidents where you don't know whether to laugh...or what... Notice I have been politically correct in the writing of this in so far as I have carefully avoided naming said religion or its connection to the political arena. I have mixed feelings about this. Because I could justifiably be accused of 'playing into' that same phoniness, too. It's a strange high wire on which to keep one's balance.

The major difference (in my opinion :) between religion and spirituality is that religion is something you practice... and spirituality is something you live.Religious dogma tells you 'how to live and what to do' ... and spirituality encourages you to find your answers within yourself. I regard the Eastern philosophies as spiritual... I regard, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism as religions. Whatever works for anyone-- that is their choice, their right. Opinion and judgment ... pretty much the same thing... and --we all do both-- Its just the way it is... what is 'bad' about holding an opinion or judging is when we are convinced we have "THE" ultimate corner on "The Truth"... All truth is relative. And!--as the Buddha said -- "don't take the word of even the most enlightened teachers as your own opinion...find it out through your OWN experience and practice." So...to me...with that perilous topic that brought about the whole mish mash -- it was taken far too seriously.... All that does is support the Ego (which simply never gets enough of 'being right.')

I spent SO much of my life searching for 'religious answers' that were, of course, always 'out there someplace' and it was up to me to 'go and look for them'... This is challenging...and its difficult when you have been programmed with the idea that you are 'dirty, sinful, and unclean and in need of being saved' ... or told 'THIS is theeee way you must walk with God.'

It's nice to talk with those with whom you are in agreement... it can bolster us and give us a sort of 'high' ...but the real learning comes from 'how do I handle it when someone is totally contrary?' Am I politcally correct (and spout a bunch of carefully worded bullshit that I don't really believe?...) or am I quiet? ...or are their ways to say what I want to say without offending the other? Being politcally correct is usually about not wanting the 'other guy' to get mad at us; it 'feels better' (to the Ego) to have his approval and validation...so one can 'fit in with the group' and feel a false sense of security that one is accepted.

What I believe (and yes, it is my opinion) about the Occupy Protesters is that THEY believe they are doing the right thing...regardless of how many people disagree with them...even to the point of their own endangerment. May it always be peaceful ... and may all all be safe. It all comes down to 'what is right for US' when we hold an opinion or take an action. How does it really and truly make us FEEL in our hearts and souls... If we truly will ALLOW others their opinions...and follow our OWN intentions that what we do is for our Highest Good and the Highest Good of Others... then...come what may ...ALL will be well. We forever keep learning ...which is a good thing! :)

(PART ONE) UFO's, Aliens, The Government, and "We the People"

According to some polls, there is an indication that more people (not quite 50%) in the U.S., 'believe in' the existence of UFO's, aliens, etc.. then ever before. However, exactly how those beliefs are interpreted vary widely. I don't think that many Sci Fi movies I have seen contributed much to an intelligent or scientific understanding of this subject... Most are 'scary' and strictly geared to entertainment and no kind of fact. "Fact," again, is a personal opinion.
Do I believe that The Powers That Be have been conducting a cover up (for years)? Yes, I do. Why would they? Because such knowledge, once globally accepted, would shake the very foundations of religion, 'old science', education, philosophy, and cultural beliefs. Thank goodness for the mavericks who are not confined by 'authoritative assumptions' imposed upon us throughout our lifetimes.
As most of you know by now, I religiously avoid western religion of any type. :) This does not make me--or those who DO believe in the Major Three -- 'right' or 'wrong.' Right or wrong is a concept that keeps people mind-stuck when it is forcibly applied to others. We have to grow beyond that.
I believe The Earth has been around for millions of years. Not just 6,000 years. I do not necessarily believe the fables and myths of the Bible per say..(even though I think any myth and fable can be very valuable...as long as you don't consider them 'gospel.' Sorry, couldn't resist :) People can spend their lifetimes attempting and then 'succeeding' in 'proving' the 'facts'...But as some wise man once said: You can use the Bible to prove ANYthing. It's all about 'opinion.' Someone else, with a sense of humor, said: "You can use "Fun With Dick and Jane" to prove any point you want if your powers of persuasion are above par.
Many Biblical scholars concur that a number of ancient Biblical writings / teachings were removed. A few of the big ones are 1) reincarnation, and 2) the missing years of Jesus, AND...ta DAH!: UFO's and so called aliens.
I think the narrow concept that many people have of "God" can be very contracting and discourages critical thinking of any kind. Many people, however, seem to accept the story of Adam and Eve and that ornery little snake with the apple --without question. Some men of the cloth interpret this story in ways that appeal to logic and being palitable. Adam biting into the apple and did not have a good outcome for him. On the other hand, Steve Jobs did the same thing and became a positive, productive icon! (Hey! maybe that's why that notorious Westboro church family wanted to picket his funeral! :) It was the Apple! :)
I like Neale Donald Walsh's description of "God;" --an Energy that gives Everything life. An Energy that pervades EVERYTHING...and is "THE" Source of all...that, I can accept. Anyway -- I don't believe that this one Biblical God created ALL humans (as well as everything else) on Earth and just put the other stuff (outer space)in the sky for balance and decoration....a Feng Shui thing. However, if you DO -- that's fine, too.
I believe that many of us living now on Earth were created by various races of 'aliens'. I believe there are aliens living amongst us right now that have donned human form (good thing, eh?) And I think that there are those of us who come from an ancestry not created in labs here on Earth ... but ARE from other star systems, who chose to incarnate on Earth. So...if "God" is a all-pervasive Energy in all galaxies and universes -- what's the problem of believing that?? Personally, to me, it gives All of Life a far grander meaning. If one is willing to consider this -- that's great! It could help us in realizing that we are learning and expanding in a TRULY eternal, ever evolving, never ending process. Or not. It's all personal choice.
There are stories, myths, legends from all over the world that speak of visitors from other planets....often referred to as 'the star people.' They don't have any kind of a problem with it. Many of the various tribes/nations of Native Americans believe they have varied ancestries from different planets of Star People. The Cherokee believe they originally came here from the Pleiades. Some believe they are the descendants of the inhabitants of Niburu (which is supposedly heading to Earth.)
As Above So Below. Yup. Not everyone on Earth is of a mind to Live and Let Live, or to do no harm. Neither are all beings from other planets. The Yin and the Yang is pervasive throughout the Universe. When we insist upon thinking of us being the ONLY planet with sentient life...we close our minds to much vaster possibilities. Seth, in The Nature of Personal Reality talks about how Time and Space are root assumptions for Earth's humans... just one of those 'rules' that makes life for us humans easier to understand. He also told us that we mistakenly assume that 'outer space' is 'out there'...rather than in terms of dimensions which are super imposed upon each other. Since, sadly enough, man's collective brain usage has purportedly still not exceeded that of 10%... its understandable that it all has to be somewhat toned down for the average bear. :)
For instance--and example: We think in terms of 'how many years will it take to get to Mars, etc"...while, according to some reeeeally smart physicists (and Seth) we could 'think ourselves there'...with maybe an occasional light-speed bump here and there. :) There are many technologies (such as teleportation) that is already being utilized that the public doesn't know about. Teleportation could put quite a dent in the auto industry...
The Law of Attraction and Free Will still apply to all beings (unless they have agreed to play a different role on a soul level) and we STILL Create Our Own Reality...just as the 'aliens' do....regardless of their location, looks or 'lifestyle.' Now let's bring this all down to some of our more pressing Earthly problems -- mainly governments and world leaders.
The Off Planetary Beings of the Power, Greedy and Wealth type personalities -- have well trained, have taken over, and have established a very well executed platform of Controllers on Earth. I personally believed the Pleiadians (re Barb Marciniak) when they said "NO ONE of your politicians (or Corporate heads) will continue to hold any position of power UNLESS they either knowingly (consciously) or unknowingly (subconsciously-- on a soul level) ... are willing to be subjected to the Dark Forces, the "Controllers." Those on Earth that do the Controlling: the Illuminati and pet project New World Order; The Ruling Houses, as in The Bielderberg Group, The Rothchilds, The Bohemiam Grove, etc etc etc.-- the ones who run the show on Earth at present time.
Technology as we know it can be very intimidating ...but what we are familiar with is elementary compared to the technical knowledge held by the Controllers. And YET... each one of us has the ability to influence...with our thoughts and state of mind, with our resultant choices and actions...what OUR OWN personal world will be like. We can choose to be part of any Mind Set or Mass Even we want. It takes Intention, Belief, Attention, and Focus. None of our 'sacred institutions' --government, religion, or education, teach us that we have the answers, the power within us.
Many of the greatest teachers have told us that what we are most afraid of -- is our own power! I didn't believe that when I first heard it. I can understand it better now. Fear of failure of what might happen if 'we don't listen to the authority figures' most often holds us back. We harbor the idea that to be GOOD--we must OBEY...We won't 'learn how to use all of our power' overnight. But as Abraham tells us: "You'll never get it wrong, because you'll never get it done." We have eternity ahead of us. We don't have to worry about 'striving to be Perfect.' Abe tells us Perfection means Death. And there truly is no such thing! Perfection would be a condition in which no more expansion, no more growth or change, or transformation could ever take place. We need to keep opting for the Learner's Permit! :)
In the next article I'll talk about personal 'Encounters'... my own -- and that of others. It's not necessarily "supernatural"...It's all 'natural'... never think otherwise. Maybe we need to start visualizing and become determined to use that other 90% of our mind power! :) We truly need to open up to New Worlds.

2012 ... What We Can Expect?

Are we, in the U.S. in for a revolution? Will the entire world be in for a big change that could be called a revolution? Is there really anything valid about any of the predictions connected with the year 2012?

To not notice how time is speeding up, to say that no changes are taking place right now pretty well implies one has got to be living under a rock. Maybe, for some, the name of this rock is 'denial' --which could easily be prompted by fear of any kind of drastic change. Even those with their heads in the sand will be experiencing those sands shifting...

For those who insist upon a more scientific bend to everything ... there is plenty of information to be found about how the earth (and rest of the universe) cycles. Instead of 'slowing down' at the end of each cycle -- it is more like Einstein described it: "Watching a (old fashioned as it be) cassette tape nearing its end, it spins faster and faster even though we hear/ perceive what we are listening to at the same speed...like we experience our calendar days and the hours on our clocks." Its all about expansion. Consciousness expanding. Its happening whether we 'want it to' or not. Nothing remains static. All is Energy and Everything is in constant motion. Even when we seem to be 'stuck'...we are making that choice as to whether or not we believe that we are ... This can also be used as an analogy as to how each of us, individually views that target year: 2012.

How this new magically numbered year is viewed. varies anywhere from the belief that the 'saved' will be raptured...to..."I don't believe in any of that 2012 crap..." I believe most people are somewhere inbetween.

As to what will be happening on a Mass Consciousness level -- no one can say. For us, personally, it will depend upon our own individual mind sets as to which of the mass events we will be observing or participating in. There will not be a 'right' or 'wrong' label tacked to any of these events. Absolutely everything is experience in consciousness that perpetually expands our learning of: 'what its all about'... So, in actuality, to look at anyone's life and say "What a waste" is ludicrous. That would only be our fear-based judgmental ego/mind talking.

Like Seth, Abraham, and other great teachers -- 'karma' is not looked upon as punishment....but as the soul's self-chosen experience --in order to expand one's own consciousness and be free from the addictive binding of judgment...We all, on a soul level, want to learn to truly be aligned with Unconditional Love: which inclues a compassionate Allowing for whatever path anyone else has chosen.

We spend far too much time thinking it is our duty to sweep in front of someone else's doorstep...and forget that our broom was meant to sweep in front of our own doorstep. And -- I have always managed to find enough reasons to tend to my own doorstep!

It's not only the notorious Phelps family (Westboro Baptist Church) that thinks they are the only ones "God" favors and have the corner on "the truth."... My OWN reaction to them (and other 'bad people' that I tend to think are SO 'wrong') shows me that the more I cling to and bask in my own 'right opinion'... the farther away I am from my own alignment with Source, All That Is, Spirit, etc... This doesn't mean you have to approve of or embrace anyone else's life style...but to learn to tend to ourselves ... our own enlightenment... should be what we focus on...not expecting the rest of the world to 'be the way we think it should be.' Allowing simply means: Let It Be... when you do take a "stand" it must be a positive and peaceful one.

Do I hear "Yeah, but's!!" ? Sometimes I hear my own thoughts/voice wanting to defend an angry or self-righteous position. It's easy to forget We CREATE those 'yeah but' events ... and the more attention and focus we give to what WE DO NOT LIKE or WANT ...the more of it we will experience in our lives. That is the irrefutable Law of Attraction. That is Universal Law. People who are forever looking to put 'the other side' down, ready to argue to defend themselves--are victims of their own scared-silly EGOs ... the part of the Ego that is never, ever satisfied but demands more and more of 'being right'.

What I like seeing about the Occupy Wall Street Protestors is that they know what they WANT...not just 'what they are against'...and, for the most part, they seem like a happy bunch. Lets hope the government doesn't install some trouble-making 'plants' in the groups to cause problems... Keep picturing a White Light around them when you think of them. There is nothing wrong with 'revolution' ... as long as its peaceful and not violent. And this can be done. Ghandi showed us that.

An idea from a book I read suggested: For just ONE DAY...do your best, all day long, to observe your thoughts. If you think that's easy, its because you haven't tried it. Trust me on that one!

As Abe says: Beliefs are nothing but thoughts that you keep thinking. And BELIEFS form our reality. The more emotion we put behind our thoughts/beliefs the more quickly they manifest. Both the 'good' and the 'bad.'

Thoughts are not just harmless little nebulous undefinable blobs that sort of just float through our minds. As the Buddha said: Thoughts are THINGS. They EACH contain the potential to actualize. On some levels, I believe most people know this; but we all need to take much more seriously. I'm not suggesting that we try to 'purify' our minds overnight, purging away all negative thoughts. Just pay more attention to 'where your mind is going' -- and it can be as simple as telling your mind "Thanks, but no thanks" to the thoughts that are making us miserable and creating more misery. I prefer to say "Thanks" because its a better choice than yelling "Damn you!" to your thoughts or yourself. We have to stay in a constant state of being willing to lighten up, forgive ourselves, brush ourselves off, and with a spirit of constant renewal -- go for that!!

We have got to believe positively when it comes to GUIDING our thoughts... Sometimes when one has worked their way into a totally black mood, its like pushing against a brick wall to eliminate it. BUT...we can...yup. We can. Even if its just beginning with 'this will end, I will feel better'... You have to like Abe says, work your way up the Emotional Scale... you can't jump from Black Mood to Silly Whacky Deleriously Happy... Take it easy on yourself. Loving and accepting ourselves brings more Love, Patience, Tolerance, and Allowing into the world. It DOES begin with us. Those rather strange monks who wear horsehair clothing and continuously beat themselves with whips are NOT bringing ANYTHING positive into the world.

The 2012 we experience, will, I believe, be what one WANTS it to be. As the wise man said: "Be careful what you wish for ...you may get it." We can't afford to visualize or wish destruction upon those we disagree with. That's the Phelps family way! Think about that. Wanting Peace has got to be more than just a 'nice thing to say.' So many of our own problems keep coming down to knowing we have to: Let It Go, Let It Go ... We must clean up our own thought processes, and then act upon what we KNOW keeps us aligned with Spirit, and... keep using that ol' broom in front of our own doorstep. Don't try to change others.

To me, this is what 'change' will be about in 2012.... there may be 'other events' that we observe. Some of it may be magnificently wonderful... some of it could be just the opposite... But it will be up to US as to whether or not we choose to participate. Like it is now--it will all be interpreted on an individual basis. The 2012 you experience may be entirely different than that of your neighbors. It's always up to the person we see reflected in the mirror. "Me" ... Don't expect anything or anyone else to 'change' in order to make your life the way you want it to be. Easier said than done?. Sure. But -- I have a good feeling it will be well worth the effort it takes!

Chapter Two: Dems and the GOP...Will either 'save' us??

This is a shameful chart. All the fuss and hullabaloo is over what to do with our tax money as the Dems and the GOP line up antagonistically for the reasons I talked about in Chpt 1 ... yet I don't hear much --if any--pro or con debate about 'getting the hell out of the middle East and just leave those people alone'...but we keep our troops there under the guise of 'fighting terrorism'... even though it is the single greatest financial drain to our economy. The government isn't even offering ANY excuses. They don't have to. We don't demand any explanations.
When some citizens do rise up against the Corporate Regime, part of the NWO, the puppet masters that control the politicians ... the protesters such as the ones on Wall Street that we hear SO little about... (have you noticed that?) get ignored. Or they are labeled wild, rebels with no real cause, and the word 'anarchist' is applied to them.
Gaining in popularity is the belief that "we can't bring the troops home with our economy the way it is --there are no jobs for them."...and many adopt this as sane, logical thinking. Many people DO know, however, that wars are 'created' to sustain and boost the economy. How sick is that? But we tolerate it.
The U.S. is not a 'productive' nation any longer. We are rightly labeled as a nation of consumers. The majority of all the jobs are either ones that pay minimum wage or the over pd high tech jobs...the white collar workers. Blue collar workers and the middle class are fast becoming an endangered species.
We are now in one big heckava economic mess. So we are told. One has to learn to question everything and all authority.
How did this all happen.? If it happened -- we allowed it to happen. There comes a time we have to stop playing The Blame Game... tempting as it is to do so.
What is 'out there' (manifested) comes from 'in here' (created from within)...
Here is the irony of what I am writing about: even though I avoid getting emotionally involved in politics as best I can, making it easy for others to label me as 'unconcerned.' I always endeavor to remain aware that the more you focus on the problem with negativity and anger...the larger the problem becomes. This is NOT 'pink fluffy stuff'...this is Universal LAW. Everything that we call 'reality' is created by and subjected to--Universal Law. There simply is no separating 'spirituality' from 'every day life.'...although many would like to believe they are separate. Our government and our politicians are an outward reflection of OUR mass conscious beliefs. What is 'out there' always comes from what is 'in here'...from inside our minds and belief systems.
Few seem willing to come out of our media-induced trance state and take a cool, objective view of the damage our religious, educational, societal mores and customs (including the AMA, FDA, etc etc etc) have done--or I should say...what we have _allowed_ by giving our own innate power away. We have done an excellent job of allowing and convincing ourselves that we 'can do nothing' about the war or the economy. And trust me on this one: "voting" is not the grand and final answer...regardless of who is in office. Not if one thinks they themselves do not have to have a change in attitude and assume self-responsibility.
Sadly, what remains as humanity main weakness is: "I'm so afraid of what others might think of me." (especially within one's one grouping) When that becomes one's main concern...it is the beginning of the loss of inner power. We all need to back off, back away from adhering like Super Glue to our particular political party and suspend all of our beliefs for a few moments. Neither the Democrats or the Republicans are going to save you OR the country. The world we as individuals create is the one we will be experiencing. No. Not more 'pink fluff'... it simply is the way it is. Now, I realize that unless you believe that you create your own reality -- by your thoughts and what you focus on and give your attention to and by the power of your Intention ... very little of this will make sense... And I'm not asking anyone to change to 'please me'... But I would much rather claim responsibility for ALL my own messes than be a 'victim' ...and think 'shit happens' --ya know?--and then glorify the name 'survivor.'
Victimhood. Now there is a subject that covers a plethora of all the so called troubles and woes of the world. "It's not my fault." "Nuh-uh...no, no, no, it isn't"... Woe is me." Unfortunately (IMO) western religions have taught us to think "we are nothing, we need help and saving and ALWAYS look OUTSIDE of our weak, lowly selves for help. To believe you have your own 'inner power'...oh my that is sinful! So one can see why so many developed the tendency to have the government take care of them, believe everything that one's OWN political party says, and can be made to jump through hoops of many kinds.
Because we allowed it, we have mass consciously created a mess with 'help' programs in the United States. It started back in 1929, and by now the mess has become monstrous (because of so much angry FOCUS on it) . When I talk about the New World Order -- by definition I am not even blaming THEM... Whoever "They" are, they are simply taking advantage of Easy Pickings. Us! If they are drunk with Power -- guess whose Power it was to begin with?? Guess who created THEM. This is what happens when we allow others to Own Our Minds. BLAME keeps one stuck in a powerless rut. Blame assures us that 'sides' stay in place....so there is as much division and derision as possible. Sides and a strict belief in Right and Wrong prevents unity and Oneness. There does indeed exist a Law of Opposites...however, it was meant to be observed and transcended...NOT 'obeyed.'
I do believe that 'the government' and the powers-that-be purposely created a class of people that became increasingly dependant upon government to 'take care of them.' This should not offend ANYONE that reads this...because I honestly believe everyone of you know exactly what I am talking about. I am _not_ talking about programs designed to benefit people who temporarily were in need of financial assistance, and certainly not talking about people who paid all their working lives (as I did) into Social Security. I don't want to make this into a 'blame' article either upon those who know how to 'play the system'... I know a fair number of people who seem to have 'the system' wrapped around their little fingers. However ... and this may be the moot point... I still believe that "they" -- knowing the frailties of human nature...knew exactly what they were doing and how they could snatch self-respect right out of the minds of people who were, for any number of reasons, already vulnerable. It's one thing to be self-righteous and judgemental and say 'those people shouldn't do that...shame on them...they should 'do the Christian thing' and be honest...they should have more pride and self respect to 'take something they didn't _earn_. How dare they use food stamps to buy ANYTHING but what "I" think is excusable and appropriate. How dare the half-crazed, discarded war vet buy those cigarettes or whiskey to take the edge off his misery.
I'm not saying I love and embrace some of the lifestyles and principles (or lack thereof) that some people live who are the system players, cheats and liars ... but you know what? I would rather my tax dollars go to THEM...then to those horrid wars in the Middle East where we kill and kill and destroy and dismantle in the name of serving "God and Country"; satisfy a craving for POWER, and our 'flawless highsounding ideals' and 'peace' and the so called 'war on terrorism'!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Health Care" in this country is f'd up so badly...why? Because people started in making GODS out of doctors and became worshippers of chemical drugs... totally, once again, giving away or ignoring their own innate power to heal themselves or make use of natural or alternative medicines.... we allowed ourselves to get to the point where 'outside help' became a necessity. I'm not talking popping a Vitamin C to mend a broken leg ... but you KNOW that our 'major diseases' are Big, Corporate Businesses. When ANY kind of 'technology' is placed ahead of 'spirituality'...it will hurt us more than help us. There HAS to be a balance.
The only thing that will solve any of these problems will come down to the individual...and the choices he makes. In someways both the Dems and the GOP are being equally self-righteous. One thinks they are following God's will by fostering self-dependency and the others think they are 'special' because they canb boast "I" care for the poor...look how "I" glow in the dark.
Since I believe in reincarnation (multi times) I believe that people choose what they need to experience. Judge not...or you might choose to incarnate to be like the person you are judging most harshly.
All I am basically saying is: don't get overly attached to party affiliation as being your 'ideal'...YOU are your OWN ideal. Do the good for yourself and others that which is in your heart and soul...because its there... and as in John's song "Imagine" ... keep those beautiful thoughts in your soul and mind...and withdraw from the poison that is being spewed. Look and SEE the dragons...but don't let the Love leave your heart by allowing 'them' to own your mind.

The Rich. The Poor. The Republicans. The Democrats.

I'll confess that I try to avoid politics as must as possible...but it's impossibility to do so completely. Like so many other unpleasantries and even tragedies that take place, they just seem to find their way into your consciousness. Take American politics as a prime example. It has always seemed to me that the main, basic difference between Dems and the GOP has always centered around money...which includes the many varied ideas that are implied as to one's belief systems about money itself. Even as far back as the early '40's, my Dad used to say: The Republicans are for the Rich...and Democrats care for the Poor.

I know I am 'oversimplifying'...but oh well, most claims that either party make are overexaggerated --so it all evens out. This might mainly interest (if anybody! :) those who are not familiar with America's politics. In a nutshell -- the basic party difference: (biiiig nut)... The Republicans (GOP) accuse Democrats (Dems) of just handing out money, giving it away to those who have not 'earned it'. The Dems accuse the GOP of pandering to the rich and protecting all their interests. BOTH sides can come up with enough 'proof' as far as 'statistics' are concerned. So one might say that BOTH are "right" in their accusations. However, there is always more to the story than meets the eye....because BOTH claims are exaggerated....or just plain lied about.

And speaking of 'stories' ...we get many of our ideas and beliefs from (God help us) "the news"...which is all highly monitored by the Powers That Be. So actually we have so little right to draw ANY kind of conclusions concerning so many people, events, and situations beings most of it is based on 'what somebody else says.' So what I am speaking of..does...come from my own observations and deductions.

I grew up surrounded by people who were deeply immersed in "the Protestant work ethic"... which means if you don't EARN it...you don't DESERVE it. This was interpreted as "how you took responsibility for your life." Many people seemed to 'give to the poor' and be 'charitable'... It seemed to me, however, that their motive was "because this is what God expects" rather than because it is something they really wanted to do.

Even though NO ONE in our small Kansas community could actually be called rich... most people never went hungry. Everyone worked because everybody had the opportunity at having a job. Even in the ever-so-Christian community of little Lehigh, Kansas... you still had your 'classes' of people; based on things like who went to church every Sunday, who had to wear second hand clothes, and who smoke or drank. The commonality they all shared was being German. Germans are stubborn, tenacious, and hard-working...and irregardless if they were Lutheran or various brands of Mennonite, they were nearly all self-identified as Republican. Republicans, according to them, were God's people. Strictly believing that the Lord helps those who help themselves. My (adoptive) arrival into this community was somewhat akin to Little Black Sambo being delivered by a disoriented stork! But, I had enough family to accept me--all was 'fairly' well. :)

My Dad was a one of only several Democrats in our little town of 250. Talk about brave! I credit this to his being a Mason and meeting up and being friends with many others from 'the outside world' so he saw and experienced more of what was 'different' in other cultures. My Dad, even then, told me never to believe that those whom we elected to office were necessarily the ones running the country...and that the President was basically a figure head who either got blamed...or credited...for the decisions he made and for 'how the country was doing.' Or how we were TOLD it was doing.

The "Poor" back then, were like 'two kinds'. First, there were the ones you actually knew personally who were having a rough time (and were helped out by the churches or other organizations) ...and the others were actually "The Ones We Had No Idea About." I supposed I shouldn't forget 'the poor starving children in Europe' that we were constantly being reminded of to guilt us into eating everything on our plates. This other kind of "poor" were mainly the blacks, or some of the less accepted European races. The Oriental races pretty well stuck to themselves and could somehow survive in ways that would confound many economists and philosophers. The Native Americans got the rawest deals of all. Governmental 'help' was scarce....but!--growing!

And then!--- being formed for the Future was the purposely created class of 'poor' (or being PC:) "the financially disadvantaged"...Yes, purposely created. Purposely divided in many diversified ways, from 'the rest of society'...an intentional division that would have a real impact on people and their decision to be a Democrat...or...A Republican. And never has it been more outrageously evident as it is in the present time.

STOP Remembering ...and Let Go...

Let's be honest with ourselves -- do we really want to experience a more peaceful, happier world? Do we actually want to live our life choosing to see something good in our fellow humans? Do we truly want to see the eventual good that comes out of any and all situations? Do we want to hold beliefs in our mind and soul that says love is an ever present force waiting for us to simply choose to believe it is there? -- in spite of what may be happening around us?
If we do...then lets STOP "Remembering" and focusing on the tragedies which does absolutely NO GOOD whatsoever...and start shifting our thoughts to all the GOOD things that have happened in life --including our own personal life.
The other day I listened for a few minutes to a radio talk show. The topic was : "Should elementary and middle school aged children be required to watch the filming of the 9-11 tragedy." During the time I listened, only ONE person called in with 'I think its a bad idea'...and of course, Dan Caplis tried to tear this position down.
The motto "Lest We Forget" is one of the worst, one of the most decidedly dangerous ideas that we can harbor if we truly want to believe that we can indeed create a better world. People tend to forget the ultimate truth of "what you resist, persists"... The Lest We Forget and Remember strategies do nothing except keep hatred, resentment, and prejudice very much alive. And yes, 'strategies' they are... Well manipulated by the New World Order to keep us in FEAR.
When people constantly have FEAR instilled into them (listening to the daily news is all it takes) by being continuously reminded about 'what happened when'...constantly emphasizing war and terrorism, it makes it easier to keep citizens of ANY country divided and under control.

The airwaves are now filled with "remembrance" of the 9-11 event...and will continue for several more days. So few people are able to see how their minds are being manipulated. I DO have faith, however, that many more people are starting to truly WAKE UP to all the mind control and manipulation that is taking place....via the media, our so called educational systems, the government's puppets, the AMA, FDA, USDA, religion, entertainment, and the societal customs, rules, laws, and regulations meant to mentally lock one in to 'acceptable behavior.'
I, for one, suspected, from the moment it happened, that 9-11 was an inside job. After all, it enabled us to take control of the Mideast with our grandiose (however false) promises of how we would 'fight terrorism' and 'help' the oppressed and force our ideas of 'freedom' and 'democracy' on people of the Muslim faith (which good Christians just KNOW are the enemies of god)... Wasn't too long ago when "Remember Pearl Harbor" was the outcry... Before that it was Can't Trust the Germans...etc, etc, ad infinity...
Am I being 'disrespectful' towards those who lost their lives during 9-11?? No. I am not intending that at all. But losing one's life in a world-class dramatic event is no better...or worse...to the families who lost loved ones -- then a mother holding a dying child, or the parents of a youth lost in a drive by shooting, or the loss of a friend who died in a car crash, or from a drug overdose, etc etc... It all HURTS the ones left behind. The NWO programmers are USING this event to keep you in the frame of mind whereby they can justify to our fair citizenry whatever war-like action they take-- and we will sigh and say, "well, what can you do...we have to protect our safety and freedom"....or "war is an ugly thing, but there is nothing we can do about it" ... So Johnny or Jill Soldier go to foreign lands and prepare to kill strangers they have never seen...but, after all, it's 'honorable' because its serving 'god and country.' This is the most heart-wrenching thing of all about ANY war ... we all have to keep convincing ourselves that it was a 'good thing' or an 'honorable thing'...so one can live with themselves. If any DARE to disagree, taunts of: "You can shoot off your mouth because I 'fought for your freedom.' !! And therefore it becomes a sacrilege to even question the 'sanctity of war.' (plus, "god is on OUR side"...right?)
I am not condemning the military's ordinary soldiers... the vast majority of whom joined the service because it was a JOB!...Plus, military recruiters are savvy enough to know where to go to recruit: the poorest of the poor...and spout to them about all the benefits they will derive and what an HONOR it will be to serve God and country. The medical and mental health statistics of 'those who served' are devastating...Nearly 70% of all the homeless on the streets are Viet Nam or Gulf War vets.
So mull that over in your mind if you choose to spend time 'remembering.'... Yes, send love to the families, in fact, send love to the WORLD and ALL its inhabitants....not just 'victims' of tragedies.
Whenever I write any of these articles, my readers know that I never discount my own faults and short-comings, or ignore areas I, too, need to Let Go of...I am fully aware of areas in which I need to expand my own thinking. As I wrote this, yes, I did experience feelings of anger and frustration. Even though we are all entitled to our so called 'negative emotions' ... those type of feelings can only be entertained for a period long enough for us to see the contrast between what we believe "is reality" (or what we don't want) --and what we really and truly WANT to experience. We are here to help each other...but not force anything on anyone. Many people have contributed to my own learning, enlightenment, and unfolding.
One of my greatest teachers, Seth, in The Nature of Personal Reality, talked about the need for only one commandment: "Thou Shalt Not Violate." Not by killing or purposely bringing harm and destruction to any person, be it physical or mental well-being in any way. If you are acquainted with the person/people or not! If you agree or disagree with them!... Violate NO one!
All this "Remembering" of the 9-11 event is orchestrated to make the 'remember-ers' sound pious, well-intended, very lofty, and makes us appear the righteous victims. "Remembering" is forwarded as 'doing the right thing' religiously or spiritually, right? Really? Just what DOES it do?! Those that were killed are FINE...they have gone on, swept back into Source's positive loving energy. If one is religious or spiritual you should KNOW that! Why keep beating the drum of sorrow?
If we really want to help ourselves, our fellow man, and our world ... we have got to use what Einstein told us is far more powerful than 'knowledge'...and that is our IMAGINATION. Imagination is the pictures and thoughts we keep in our hearts. It is what materializes for us first on a personal level and then spreads to our world. Remember that we don't all live in 'the same world'... If you are metaphysical, you know what I am talking about. You also know about the Law of Attraction. You don't FIGHT for Peace...
Imagine what it could be like if everyone in our country--yes, let's say on 9-11...would quietly sit in prayer or meditation for a short time, visualizing peace, imagining people accepting and allowing each other to be the way they are, seeing smiles on people's faces, seeing joy in their lives... THAT would have the true potential for changing our world. But for those who would think "Oh let's get real, you know its not going to last" ... the Law of Attraction, working perfectly as it always does, would deliver that, too. It IS DONE UNTO YOU ACCORDING TO YOUR BELIEFS. Jesus was not just whistling Dixie when he said that. He wasn't talking rhetorical church dogma...but Universal Divine Law.
Living in ignorance and ignoring what is happening is not what I am advocating... We need to be AWARE of what is happening, take off our rose colored sunglasses, and smell the coffee. THEN and only then can we make true and wise choices. The choice to acknowledge our Self-Empowerment, knowing the NWO will not own our minds, or believe what is being fed to us day in and day out on a subliminal level -- to the out and out blatant lies. That is taking back our power. Our minds. Our Souls.
During every moment we possess the ability to be mindful. Mindful of our thoughts, of our emotions, our actions, and of our intent. Those aspects are what create our world. The energy is becoming stronger and stronger and it is important for us to discern and determine what Our Stand is... To be sovereign unto ourselves and honor the divine love that is within us ... or....to keep 'remembering' all the mistakes and tragedies of the past and NO ONE learns from!... As always, its always, always our Choice.

When Some People Really "Get To You"..!!

It's hard. We know it is. We may want to act all cool and unaffected, but more often then not -- we really feel deeply the emotions of anger, hurt, or disgust -- when we let people "get to us." A Facebook friend posted the funniest comment the other day: "If you know of someone who is still alive simply because you did not want to go to prison--please repost this." (thank you, Phillip!) I love dark humor. The people that DO -- can relate to a style of wit that escapes the more literal chaps.
Most of the time we can just sluff off some of the remarks people make. I say most of the time, because I believe its true. If we are wise, we learn to avoid people who seem to be perpetually obnoxious, insulting, insensitive, or rude. No, we are not being spiritually superior in any way for putting up with people who are jerks. People who 'put up with' barrages of insolence are not 'tolerant' and admirably patient...They are dishonoring themselves and lacking in self-confidence and esteem. People who continuously subject themselves to mental sado-masochism are not loving, tolerant, and fore bearing ... they are in need of help.

I've often said its one thing to say: "Everybody has a right to their opinion"...but it's not all that easy to be gracious to those people who think they have a right of actually express those opinions. Especially when their opinions come from blatant prejudice, judgment, self-righteousness, and obvious ignorance of the subject of which they are speaking.
When to speak.... When to be silent.... How does one deal with the pain of emotions that suddenly seem to overtake you when someone makes a hurtful or anger-provoking remark?
I have been known, at times, when I engaged my mouth prior to switching on my brain, to blame it on my genetic heritage. Irish, you know. Just can't help it.
However, I would still end up 'paying the piper' in spite of the no-fault-Irish-excuse. In all seriousness (mostly) however, it's very much of an individual thing as to when a person decides to speak up: "I have to stand up for what I believe"... and simply Letting It Be. That is hardly up to me to judge. If we are honest with ourselves -- we know that it can be very difficult to remain silent rather than come up with a very hurtful retort. We also know (way deep down inside) that just because we h really thought up a 'good comeback' and slammed someone down and 'put them in their place' ... it really doesn't feel all that good. Maybe for a few seconds...but that's about it. That little voice tells us it was all about Ego. Ego wants to win. Ego needs attention. Ego is NEVER satisfied...the more we feed it, the more it wants... Then, one day, we Wake Up and inwardly 'sees' what we are doing. If, after that, we continue to choose to 'get even' and retaliate against the other person...then we cannot escape admitting to ourselves, without excuses, that we purposely wanted to inflict pain on another person. So who wins? No one. We know it...we feel it in our soul...

That typifies that horrible saying: "I don't get mad -- I get even." You might say that when we have 'lost it' it means we have "lost our connection to Source." And that does NOT feel good...at all...ever.
So when someone 'gets to you'...you still have a choice as to how you will react. Always. But what about the 'yeah buts'--and-- 'how come then when' etc etc -- and ALL those excuses we use when we feel truly 'justified' in hurting back??

Here is what we don't particularly want to hear: The Law of Attraction. It's always at work, always dishing out to us something that will match the vibrations that are contained within us. LOA is not judging. Its only magnetizing. Very impersonally. And boy oh boy, can that be hard to swallow! If we ALLOW it, however, we can always -- always -- learn something from these painful situations that helps us to grow, expand, and be more allowing. And THEN!!-- Truly Feel Better!! We can't just say: "If I have learned one thing, it's to avoid assholes." Nope. Sorry. That isn't always the The Final Answer. That's only the ego taking the easy way out. Inwardly, we 'know' what the answer is for us.

Yesterday I nearly 'lost it' with another resident here. I was ready to put on my Crusader Cape (those capes usually sparkle with a good sprinkling of self-righteousness) and tell this guy off good! And, I was going to do this in front of others! He had hurt a friend of mine in a very bad way. So I was going to do the same to him, by gum! I would share what it was -- but I don't need or want validation that "I was justified." What I was totally overlooking was this: My friend attracted this incident to him. I wasn't even present when it occurred. The 'offender' had never offended me in any way. Ever. No, I didn't have to like the cruel things he said to my friend... but it was not my problem. Now... that may raise some hackles on some of your backs, because my 'reasoning' doesn't exactly reflect a Hallmark movie. BUT.... I am so glad that I kept my mouth shut. My friend is a 'full grown' adult who has to learn his own lessons without my 'help'...otherwise known as interference. It didn't take me long to start remember how my friend literally 'asks' (attracts) for trouble fairly often.. This is just one very minute example on the subject of 'getting to you.' I was SO glad I cooled my jets.
It doesn't pay for us to make up a long list of all the 'possible' or 'probable' times when we just knew for sure we would most likely be praised and lauded for playing the Caped Crusader! So convinced we are "right!" But -- it still chalks up the points for the EGO... and 'winning' does NOT solve the problem that created it.
In his wonderful little book "The Four Agreements" Don Miguel Ruiz, in the 3rd Agreement says: "Don't Take It Personally" ... whether it is directed at you...or a loved one...or anyone else. Let it STAY with the other person. Don't take it in. That is the perspective we need to aim for. It doesn't mean we can't ever speak our own truths or give our own positions. But let's be honest here. We KNOW _when_ to do this...and _how_ to do this.
And if we haven't learned that yet...Well...we will eventually learn...or we'll keep hurting until we do. That's just the way Life is. Always helping us to grow...and teaching us to be more allowing...We then learn to tend to our own doorsteps...and we learn to: just Let It Be.

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!! ...if you dare...(Perhaps dye your hair blue...)

Have you ever noticed how freaked out some people get when they see a person with wildly colored hair...green, blue...purple, etc.. I overhear quite a few derogatory remarks like this fairly often-- beings I live in a senior building. There is a man who comes here to visit his mother. He usually sports very blue hair. Thus, he has acquired many labels from our residents: insane, unintelligent, disrespectful, disgraceful, and impudent. However, younger people are not always exempt from this kind of judgement.
I believe that everything stems and flows from one of two sources: One is Love. The other is Fear. Malice, prejudice, or any kind of non-loving actions are usually attributed to ignorance and hatred... but the root source is still Fear. So many people are SO afraid of anything that is different. It frightens them. Fear, then, results in self-defensiveness and promotes judgment and condemnation. The reasons for these reactions most often (although not always) can be traced to how 'we were taught to think' by all of authority figures. These 'teachings' are multi-generational and their effects can be seen all over the globe resulting in divisions, sub-divisions, cultures and sub-cultures, etc etc etc... We were and still are immersed in 'them' vs 'us'... "Everyone has a right to their own opinion" is seldom (audibly) followed by "even if you are totally wrong" but it seems to make the say-er appear both politically and spiritually correct. I am not promoting "we should all think alike"...Hardly. That is all too viral already. What I mean to forward is the idea that yes, we all DO have the 'right' to think as we please and have our own opinions...but (and this is a big but ) we each have to0 learn to sport our OWN 'blue hair' in ways that allow us to emerge from a type of mass consciousness that promotes the idea that we must get approval from -- or take our validation from 'others' who make up this mass consciousness. We can and should wear our blue hair with peaceful intent. Never with intent of purposeful confrontation, violence or harm to others. Harmful action is always deeply fear based.
I strongly agree with the Pleiadians prediction that this indeed is the time of a great battle for our MINDS. To own one's own mind is key too self-empowerment. I believe that the majority of people who are so programmed and mind-controlled, have no idea that they are and would be the first to argue with you. These are 'nice, normal' everyday people. We like them. They mean well. They are not 'bad'...just not Awake. MCP (Mind-Controlled, Programmed)people read newspapers from 'cover to cover' as they say, to 'be informed.' They believe everything they hear on the 'news' via TV or radio. They 'believe in' all organizations that have initials: The: FBI, CIA, USDA, FDA, AMA, the dreaded IRS, etc... as well as all 'organizations' that claim to promote health, wealth, prosperity and happiness. Reducing these organizations to initials gives them the added power of 'symbolism' which promotes more emotion than the frequencies of 'words.' They would never question their own brand of religion (although obviously 'the others' are 'wrong') What is promoted via television can be far more dangerous to the mind and body than any street drug. TV 'programs' shape 'morality,' mode and style of 'thinking, and creates 'mood settings' which extend and last far beyond the half or full hour of programming. Drug advertisements promote more fear than horror flicks and keep your allegiance to the AMA and Big Pharma alive and well....if you'll pardon the pun. The mix of TV frequencies, (both sound and visual) symbols and colors are constantly impressing and embedding both fear and dependency -- even though false promises of happiness, freedom, and relief are the 'hooks.' The Internet has as much potential for this same type of exposure. The main difference is that the 'interactive' aspect of the Internet tends to promote more thinking along with discernment and discretion. We have marvelous technology. In and of itself it is not 'bad'...but the potential each technological device possesses for 'good' or 'bad' is always equal to that potential. Much of the advanced technology already developed is never advertised. There exists no such thing as 'privacy.' Trust me on that one. If a person's spiritual development is not equal to the potential of any technical gadget..it can be very detrimental.
I have never witnessed a time when the world has been more divided. Government does not unite... It divides...on purpose. Our two party system is its greatest tool for creating derision, division, fear, and hatred. With those qualities well instilled into the mind, we are easily controlled... We 'align with and find our strength in people who AGREE with us'... The Crypts and the Bloods will have to go some distance to keep up with the hatred and blame fostered by the Republicans and Democrats.
Does anyone with two operable brain cells actually buy into the Game that was just played out in Congress?!!? Think of all the Fear, animosity, and blame that was generated (yes, created on purpose) by this event. I guess I would have to call that a success. Giving the devil his due, as the old saying goes...
As a race, much of humanity still finds "war" justifiable and necessary...and thinks of it as a 'necessary' action. And of course, using "God" and the sanctity of borders (aka countries) as pious reasons --to disagree would be blasphemy. Gee, which is worse: a guy with blue hair or a man who refuses to go to war? I am sure the irony of this question might escape many.
Never have two more powerful words been uttered than: QUESTION AUTHORITY!! ... "NO FEAR...Absolutely NO FEAR" rubs people the wrong way because they have SO little faith in the inate goodness of man that they believe fear (and a zillion laws!) are the answer to "Peace." This is also a very strong form of control. Recently someone coined "Some people work for a living and others vote for a living." That has some truth in it. I'll vote you in, you fight my battles for me and 'gimme stuff.' But to dare Question Authority, be it governmental, religious, or societal -- is a bit too much to ask of many. Don't make waves. Play it safe. Make sure you are validated and approved of. Live up to what others expect of you. Play the game. Agree with what costs you the least mental conflict. Stay in the box. Play it 'cool.' Turn on your TV and watch the News and be 'informed.'
I probably shouldn't add more controversy to what I've already said...like "AND!--you create your own reality!!" The only way anything will change is to change your thoughts, make sure what action you take is motivated by Love, your Highest Good and the Highest Good of others. Be the change you want to see. Don't expect any president or politician or religion or school or law or Who or Whatever to do it for you or think any of that will get you what you really want. (gasp!--really?)... Nah...that would be going too far...

People Who Quote "God"...

No. It was not only George W Bush who claims God spoke to him. Many people do this on a regular basis.

This picture to the left, is one of my favorite pictures of God because it does, indeed, seem to portray the concept of what many call God: looking very pissed off and ready to throw lightning bolts; keeping 'his children' in fear of dying and going to hell. In spite of the 60's and 70's attempts to portray and nicer, more user-friendly God, with aphorisms such as "God is love" ...I'm not sure how well this new and improved concept 'took.' Then again, some folk seem to like the idea of a mean and punishing God. It's their 'weapon.' They are the 'experts' on God.

Many scoff at people who claim to have personal channeling's from God. Even Republicans chuckled at George W's claims... Still...many delight in using Bible quotes to supposedly prove their own points... They are certain they know what God says, wants, or does. I suppose this is understandable in light of certain religious teachings that were embedded into them from early childhood on.

I am not sure where humanity, as a whole, ranks on the evolutionary scale...(which I am simply identifying as humanity crawling out of their little boxes and not being afraid to QUESTION what they have been taught.) When it comes to religious teachings and dogma, most adherents have been taught NOT to question. Questioning, however innocently, putting themselves in danger of God's wrath.

Some people actually believe the world is only 6000 years old. They refuse to entertain the scientific fact that Earth is millions of years old and that a plethora of religions have come and gone. Currently popular on Earth is monotheism which means 'worship of one God' -- and there is little wiggle room for any belief system that doesn't support that belief. To many, the concept of this one God is most generally seen as some supreme ruler/creator that exists separately --outside of all that 'he' has created.

God, to them, or Allah to Muslims, is usually thought of as a gigantic super-human, an all powerful and knowing entity.. perhaps because it is the best they can do with their finite thought processes. He (always male) is a very exacting monarch that you dare not defy...or else. He has human characteristics, the same of which are considered to be very flawed traits in humans. It is indeed, a fortunate religious-adherent that has not been raised with Fear and Guilt Conditioning in order to overcome 'lowliness, unworthiness, and the need of being saved.' I admit that I am 'stereotyping' religion here... however, I feel this is somewhat justified and counter-balanced by the fact that far too many religionists feel it is their right to HURT and HARM other humans -- not only their 'right' but their Christian or Muslim duty!! They actually believe: "God wants them to~!!"

Those people have every right to their beliefs. Yes. They DO have the "right" to their beliefs -- But I do not believe that ANY belief or religious teachings should give ANY one permission to HURT or HARM others in any way -- be it physically, verbally, mentally, or emotionally.

I really like the Wiccan Rede (pagan based religion) of Do As Ye Please but Harm No One. (which includes yourself)...that covers more territory than many uninformed critics of earthen religions are willing to allow.

When anyone takes action--verbally or physically (via the "Law" or not) to DIS-allow others their own beliefs and rights--even if they are 'quoting God, their particular scriptures, or religious dogma' -- they are committing the ONE sin that goes against any and all moral philosophy: Harming Others. In any way. This includes dis-allowing privileges of any and all kinds because of one's interpretation of "what God is" spouting their endless quotes to 'prove their points.'

I get equally (well...almost...) annoyed at the 'victims' who are being 'condemned' when they try to get into the same twisted playing field in order to argue and counter against those who oppose them. WHY??

Why should gays or anyone who is considered 'different' --have to 'use scripture' to 'prove' that this limited 'image of God' loves them, too?? Why should anybody have to defend their race, their language, the way they dress, the way they walk, the technology they use, their lifestyle, the area they live, they way they do or don't spend money, if or not they work or 'live off the system?' Now...here is the 'zinger!' ... there is NO NEED to defend yourself (or even counter with quotes from holy books). If you feel you have to use the same material to pose your OWN arguments -- it is like saying 'your argument is valid therefore I have to use your same material...' Think about it!!

WHY should you feel you have to 'present valid arguments' against those who are judging you?? If you DO ...it means one of two things: either you are not following your own Inner Guidance...or... you are living your life with the need of approval from 'others.'

So then its up to us, individually, to do what is right for ourselves, and blank everyone else.

I am not a religionist by any means (been there, done that...) but I do consider myself spiritual... which means expanding one's consciousness and honoring oneself, and allowing others their beliefs without getting our knickers all twisted in a knot. Let 'them' do that if they so choose. It does not have to effect US -- unless we so choose.

So much of this all comes down to what kind of image one conjurs up upon hearing the word "God." Herein lies the religionists' reason for using Fear and Guilt conditioning to tell people what is 'right and wrong' and how to live their lives. The more 'human' their God is ... the more judgemental they are. Why does anyone feel the need to defend against that!!?

So far I have had a very 'busy' lifetime this go-round. I have no problems admitting that I have been 'guilty' of nearly every kind of 'narrow-mindedness' that exists, including one who thought "Ha! God's gonna get you for that`!" But I never have quit seeking and searching for answers even in 'dangerous territory'... To be on the Leading Edge, we HAVE TO take chances and question -- and confront -- even defy -- all those things which intimidate us and just plain make us feel badly ... We have to stop heeding everyone ELSE's ideas of right or wrong...and trust our OWN validity, our OWN spirituality, our OWN Inner Guidance, and our OWN Life...

The ancient Egyptians had it right: There is NO NAME /WORD (including 'god') for that source, that force that is ALL THERE IS... even the name 'god' is limiting... We are each a part of this Source, this All That Is... and its time we recognized our OWN Inner Power.

I truly like the way Neale Donald Walsh (author of Conversations With God) describes God:

"Consider the possibility that what you call God might also be called simply 'life.' Consider the possibility that God not only created Life, but that God IS Life...and that God is Life made manifest."

Since we can't -- nor is it up to us -- change anyone's views on what they call God ... we CAN be charge of our own thoughts -- our own reactions -- and our own lives. This must be done without harming others ... otherwise what is the difference between 'them and us?' The more expanded our own consciousness, the greater is our capacity to LOVE and LIVE, and to allow others their own beliefs without it effecting us ... one single bit... Now that spells Relief!!

Sometimes "Facing Reality." is NOT for the best!

I'm sure most of us have heard the admonition: "It's time you faced reality!" Or "You're better off seeing the truth!"

We heard these warnings long before we learned that 'truth is relative.' Even after we thought we understood that theory, we were already so trained to only 'believe in' what we heard and what we saw, that it made a different theory little difference. We were deeply entrenched in the idea that what we saw or heard was the 'only true reality' that existed. Those who think they can only safely presume what 'science' can prove...probably have little idea how far science has progressed... as in Quantum Physics.

To many of us...hearing the philosophy : everything is an illusion...made even less sense. We might have even said: "If that wall is only an illusion, then I should be able to walk through it!"-- assuming we had 'realistically' disproved that idea.

Even though we might have joked around about 'illusion' --many of us have had direct experiences with 'illusion' that nearly knocked our socks off. When those events happened to us... things we manipulated or performed --that 'in all truth' we should not have been able to do -- Those were times when we were NOT engaged in 'realistic' thinking. Therefore no 'belief or thought' stood in the way of preventing the actions that happened. Those times, admittedly, were very unusual. Some people might call them 'miracles'... when basically, according to all the great teachers--it was a matter of getting our monkey-minds out of the way -- and ALLOWING those things to happen.

Now back to 'daily life'...and why I claim that 'facing reality' can be such a stumbling block to what we really desire.

I know any number of people who claim this Biblical quote is true: "It is done unto you according to your belief" ... however, some do not seem to have the foggiest notion as to what that quote encompasses! They still either 'credit' or 'pawn it off to God's mysterious ways.' It's nice...nebulous, and spiritual sounding, but has nothing to do with 'reality' in our day to day lives.

By the same token, many who say Oh Yes! to The Law of Attraction, have a way of going about their everyday business, meeting challenges, overcoming obstacles ,or even enjoying themselves--forgetting that _they are_ Creating Their OWN World according to BOTH of those ideas: Belief and the Law of Attraction. Abe calls this 'default creating' ...when you are not making any conscious mind connection to what is happening in your daily lives.

It's no one's "fault" per say... it's just that we have been so ingrained with the notion that we do not have real control over our lives--so its easy to forget to be mindful of what we are thinking.beliefs and how they are effecting our lives. Again, religionists put it all on their own ideas of 'God' ...while the others seem inclined to approve of the motto: "Shit happens..."

Of course, most know that we should live a 'good and sensible life and make good choices. They also know that we have 'choices' as to our reactions to these things that 'seem' to happen out of the blue'...Too often, however, all of us tend to stop there. (Some, of course, have put on the brakes!) One day, Voila!-- the Light flashes!--and we are able to put 2 and 2 together...and after that-- we realize that being "MINDFUL" of our thinking is a not only a choice but a 'must'.

I never said 'seeing this flash of Light' made it easy! No, it takes determination, practice...and persistence.

Some handy dandy little 'helpers' along the way are 1) Intent, and 2) affirmations.

Clear intentions and positive affirmations only work 'if we really mean it.' I should also add 3) imagination. There is a reason that Einstein said "Imagination is more powerful than knowledge." It's impossible to 'think' without triggering the imagination. Try it sometime if you don't believe it! You always see the 'video' along with the 'audio of the mind.'

As Abraham stresses over and over again "A belief is only a thought you keep thinking." A belief does NOT have to be a 'permanent thing' cemented into our minds...we have to keep re-cementing it for it to stay there!

We know that FOCUS and ATTENTION are the most effective 'tools' for 'getting more of' whatever it is that you want (or don't want!)

Giving persistent focus and attention to what has already been manifested-- poor health, poverty, relationship problems, etc etc etc -- gives those unwanted problems so much POWER that to solve or cure them can be like a continuous uphill battle. I'm not saying absolutely 'no action' is required... but it will all be a struggle and uphill battle if one thinks that "that is where all the answers lie." Sadly, our society rewards those who 'really struggle and work hard and martyr themselves.' That type of thinking/belief is one of the biggest obstacles to expanding our consciousness. It is the absolute EPITOME of "Facing Reality!" Also, sad to say, if whatever the problem seems to be is not recognized on a spiritual level (and there are any number of ways to do that) it will only reappear (perhaps in a different form)... Hence the aphorism: "What you resist, persists."

Important: I am not implying that 'Spiritual recognition of a problem' means 'seeing' that you are being 'punished and must repent and then your problems will magically disappear. Neither do I mean that you 'have to put up with it' because 'God did it to me for my own good' and 'its not mine to question.' However, if this is what 'works' for some people... I fully recognize it is their perfect right ... but that particular belief system doesn't make it 'right' or the 'one true way' for everyone!! Learning to Let It Be when it comes to ideas and beliefs that seem polar opposite of ours is extremely necessary for our own peace of mind.

A Far Eastern line of thinking teaches us that Thoughts Are Things. In order to be able to work with our thoughts its important to think of them as 'potentially creative tools' that have equal possibility for being what we call 'good' or 'bad.' There is NO such thing as total control over one's thoughts. This is why Buddhism refers to our minds as the monkey-minds with thoughts that are bouncing off one wall, hitting another, swinging here and swinging there. But they CAN be tamed, corraled, and tended to.

When we empower certain thoughts by 1) replaying/repeating them over and over, 2) by focusing on them, "believing" in them and 3) giving our constant attention to them -- they will manifest for us in the physical...THAT is the Law of Attraction. THAT is "It is done unto you according to your beliefs."

I have always been grateful to Seth for teaching us that we all have 'conflicting beliefs'...and that this is 'normal'.. You know what I am talking about. You believe something -- and yet -- you have your doubts. Which ever 'side' you attach the stronger emotion to -- that is the one that will manifest in your life. I've also always appreciated what the Pleiadians told us about 'emotions.' They provide the 'rocket fuel' that propels our beliefs into manifestation. Those little monkey-mind thoughts that we give little heed (emotion) to...will not necessarily manifest. I like to think of what Pema Chodron suggest we say when these little monkey-mind thoughts keep jumping around in our mind: "Thinking...just thinking" ... Don't scold yourself...just gently dismiss them 00and remember!-- there is "SO MUCH MORE TO ME...than ANY of my thoughts"...even though they are the tools humans are given to Create Their Physical Reality.

For Those Who Fear "God and the Bible"....

Let's consider the word: God. Hmmm. What does that word mean to you. Most often the concepts/definitions that we hang onto regarding the word God comes from either: 1) the teachings/dogma of our chosen religions; OR 2) what we were taught by authority figures that resulted in our belief systems. There are wildly diverse ideas on this subject.
I write this article not to change any one's ideas and beliefs systems. My intent is to reach out to those with whom I share a similar background. Only those of us who have gone through the kind of programming that results in so much fear...can truly appreciate how devastating the threats of the "Fear of God" can be. Easy enough to let go of intellectually...but not emotionally. Religious fear and guilt conditioning has far-reaching, damaging consequences.
I prefer not to hang out with ANY church brand of ultra religious types -- from Baptist to Catholic. Actually, I generally do just fine with those kind of pious folks -- until they open their mouths. Up until that time I consider myself pleasantly tolerant and can spew pretty words such as: "Everyone has a right to their own opinions, ideas, and beliefs" as long as they just sit there.... Quietly...Very Quietly... (please consider this with humor, because that is my intention...
I think what makes an avid religionist (of any label or brand) most vexing is when they start a sentence with (and poised to challenge) "But GOD SAYS..." and that is supposed to be the all inclusive, not to be disagreed with, final say. I have learned to tame my retorts and not say things like "God who???" or "what exactly do you think God is?" It's generally not appreciated. There is no arguing or even having a reasonable conversation with them.
In my 'search for this god' I formally 'inducted' myself into 7 different churches... I 'joined', 'embraced' and 'became'...but never found the answers to what I was looking for... I was always searching for the ultimate OUTWARD source that I was certain had to be found in "THE" right religious dogma/doctrine. I wasn't to realize til much later that all the questions that tormented me -- and the knowledge I sought -- wasn't anywhere 'out there' ..but lies within our souls.
In my opinion, absolutely nothing has been more responsible for keeping mankind from expanding his consciousness-- than religious dogma. It has been tied up in societal, cultural, and moral values, each of them, claiming to have 'the truth.' It keeps us separated on a level that most fail to recognize because we are too busy believing what 'they' have told is 'right.' Most great writers recognize the fact that religious control and influence has been the root cause for nearly all wars.
So many people are afraid to study, in a sane and open manner, the psychological effects of religious influence. Even daring to question anything we've been taught strikes fear in the hearts of men...after all, it might tempt God to promote retribution on us.
Nearly all religious dogma teaches the same thing: The most basic fundamental teaching is: _You and God are separate._ You need to be "saved" ...You need be saved in order to avoid God sending you to Hell for eternity. You need to gear your entire life toward 'pleasing' (and /or appeasing) this God. "He" is seen as this big super-MAN in the sky with the powers of a giant wizard!
Can you really call this love? The story about this god's 'son' being created to be killed?...Love? No, its a miserably bloody story. And to think some Christians 'drink the son's blood' every Sunday... So many people are afraid to question any kind of ritual. Talk about fear of 'black magic! or blood sacrifice!' What's the difference?
The Bible. What I have seen is this holy book is most used for is: "I'll prove my point by quoting scripture." Mostly to show 'the other guy' how wrong he is.
The ancient Egyptians had it right. They called the Ultimate Creative Force of all Universes "That which has no name" ...and that includes the name "God." They had their pantheons of gods and goddesses, but never implied any of them to be the Ultimate Creative Source of existence. (I personally blame that weird Pharoah Akenhaten for the monotheistic idea he had while staring at the sun...)
The New Age religions brought about quite a revolution. Granted, (IMO) it was a huge step towards the innate intelligence of the Light. They were more sensible, 'science-oriented' religions, having adopted some of the ancient wisdom, teachings, and practices of the far Eastern religions. The new thought religions purged themselves of the predominant 'hell and damnation' stories. It brought with them new and improved definitions for the word "God"... and "God Is Love" became the new catch phrase. It was an attempt to make "God" more congenial and less scary, not as threatening. Some of the newer religions were still a bit hesitant to make a 'real break' from the old conceptions and often times simply addressed some of the scarier and less palatable teachings with pleasant sounding platitudes. But, again IMO, it at LEAST allowed people to give themselves permission to question everything they had been taught and actually THINK for themselves....rather than cower in FEAR of the old god concept.
There is another segment of Christian (especially) society that appears rather innocuous and well meaning... While appearing to be this way, they still rely on phrases such as: "Well, we'll just let God judge them"...or "God will know how to take care of that person'...sometimes adding sooo self-righteously: "it's not for me to judge." Somehow I feel more honesty and trueness to self in people who scream hell and damnation...then these kinds of wolves in sheeps clothing...
No. I'm not an "aethiest" as some readers may have concluded by now. I simply believe in something BIGGER. I would only say that, far too often, when we use or think of the word "God"... that we belittle, and make incredibly 'small' the entire Life Force of all Universes. its all incredible ...and it IS beyond our comprehension. Seth originated the name "All That Is".
I've heard it said that religion is a tool --man's way of trying understand What It's All About... Maybe so..but unfortunately the 'tool' took over and is now controlling --instead of allowing enlightenment and expansion of our human minds. Being born into "sin" and having to be "saved"...and having to gear one's life devoted to "pleasing or appeasing this God" ... I can't understand why more people can't see how consciousness-confining that is. However, it wasn't all that long ago that I could relate only too well! Both this "God" and the "Devil" are man-man constructs/concepts... Maybe at one time they helped. You don't need them any more.
So...to those of you who allow others to frap you upside the head with their bibles, korans, or torahs ... just duck!... Don't allow them to control your mind or emotions or spirit. Boldly go to that Spiritual Freedom of which you ARE... and stop being afraid. As the greatest teachers say: Don't take it all so seriously. Smile--when you take those pictures of yourself!

What Didn't Happen on May 21st... Another Viewpoint...

Many of us had a lot of laughs over the to-do of the rapture that didn't occur on May 21st. I found myself, once again, getting very annoyed with any and all types of radical religionist's -- especially the evangelicals who make it clear "they have the truth"!!

After listening to Coast to CoastAM (radio) last night, which was dedicated to talking about this non-event, I found myself a little more sympathetic towards these people that I disagree with on an intellectual level.

In some ways, the people who so vehemently condemned the "rapturists"...are not too much different than the ones they are condemning. It all basically comes from The Dualistic Sources: One is Love and One is Fear. ALL things emanate from one of those two sources. The Yin and the Yang. The Dark and the Light. They BOTH serve us, making it possible (if we are seeking any depth from our own inner truth) for us to see what is serving us well and what is not. Basically ALL is well. We can turn on the Light switch. There is no Dark Switch...however, we can TURN OFF the Light Switch through our CHOICES and remain in the Dark and curse the Darkness, rather than Light that proverbial candle.

We laughed at a lot...The WHOLE WORLD got involved in this scenario! And it's good to laugh...it relieves tension and helps to 'normalize' things. Yet, I couldn't help but feel sorry for old Rev. Camping at times....as well as for those who were so convinced that this prophecy would come to pass. There is one thing we have to give them credit for: they are, at least, not afraid to express what they truly believe in. The average population seems to be more concerned about not being accepted and approved of.

Did we ever think about what caused this gigantic response? -- why it became a world wide phenomenon? I didn't. Not really. I just pawned it off to my usual thinking of: "yet another plot to keep humanity in fear." And some of that could be right. However, there was a side to this ordeal I was ignoring. The "We Are One" side.

On the C2C radio show, Dr Judith Orliff, a psychiatrist who seemed to blend science and spirituality very well, got the point across that Rev Camping and those 'crazy people' ... actually triggered a delicate point within us, --an area of the heart that we do NOT LIKE to admit to. FEAR of 'what is'...and an inner world-wide longing to find solutions and peace.

Admit it or not -- we ALL -- have those moments of saying "I am so tired of it all"...longing to find a quick and easy way out. For many people the solution would seem to be 'winning the Lotto' ... even though we like to appear 'spiritually correct' by saying 'money isn't everything.'

So, in one way, these 'Rapturists' name was Legion ... even though the way they expressed themselves could be totally opposite of what we 'approve' of.... according to our own belief systems.

I think there are more of us (than willing to admit) who might have glanced at our watches when May 21st hit Australia's fair shores...and thought "Whew!...they seemed to make it through OK...ha ha ha 'they' were wrong" ...

I DO believe that we DO create our own reality -- I also believe in different realities and dimensions ... so who is to say that in another dimension this prediction didn't come true?

I think there might have been a little more tale-telling laughter of relief involved than we wanted to admit to. I even witnessed this reactions in the young street toughs on East Colfax as I listened to their remarks. It stirred something within ALL of us.

We all want 'things to be better' ... and as Dr. Orliff said, what the 'Rapturists' did was a highly exagerated version of what we all want: solutions and peace in what can manifest as the very difficult and challenging world we inhabit.

Granted, we don't always feel or react this way. Gradually, we are all finding that the solutions Lie Within us...and to not expect some external source or event to solve all of our problems.

There have been times when I have wished that some Highly Evolved ET's would whisk down in some space ship and beam me up, together with family and friends to some Peaceful Planet. Now. Is there much difference between that and the Rapturists? No. Don't think so.

We are so used to using humor, sarcasm, and sometimes just plain meanness to cover up our own fears. Not saying its 'bad'... just saying... Maybe we need to individually attend to what brings us Peace and Joy from a more loving point of view. Condemning others will never do that for us. Instead, maybe we should consider, as the Beatles song so wisely says: _Let It Be_. ALLOW others to have their points of view.

Our choices stem from those two fountains: One is called Love...One is called Fear. Condemning others for WHATEVER they do just because we disagree with them does NOT bring us peace...it only temporarily gratifies the scared and insecure Ego. I have to constantly remind myself of that.

We always have a choice. Which do we choose?

UFO's ... What Are Your Beliefs? Part One

SOOOooooo...what is YOUR take on all of this UFO business?? Do you 'believe?'... and if you don't.... then why not???
I don't come across many people who "don't believe" ...,but water usually finds its own level. Most of the people in my life are eclectic and not afraid to delve into the unknown.
Some people are afraid to admit that they 'believe,' hesitating to be open with their beliefs for fear of what 'others' might think of them. That has always been the least of my own concerns...although you have to know 'when to (verybally) hold 'em and when to fold 'em.' Arguments and confrontations never work; and besides, some are: 'speaking for God' ... So, it's best just to Let It Be.
I have had at least four 'fairly' Close Encounters with UFO's... If I tell a person my 'stories'...I can sense immediately if he or she believes me by their reaction. If the person drops to the floor and starts rolling with laughter, chances are he is not a 'believer.' If I get an eye roll, a stiffened face, (lot of body language involved) a smirk, a sudden glance in the opposite direction with a sarcastic laugh, etc etc etc ... I immediately sense I must be prepared to be properly (or improperly) put down, or treated like I am on a day pass from Ft. Logan. (for those of you not from Denver, this is a mental instiution...)
But it's all OK. You see, it HAS to be. No more than one can 'save the 'planet' ...neither can one make a 'believer' out of those who refuse to accept that their reality does not end with the skin that covers their body, or whatever their Five Senses can perceive. And, it is their right. So, why should you waste your time trying to 'prove' anything? They are not obligated to believe you.
A much harder thing, for me, myself and I to 'let go of' is the person who takes a deep breath, looks off to the side, and then with a insidious glare, looks at you and says, "I think we have ENOUGH to worry about right here on Earth without worrying about little green men from Mars." They are SO pragmatic ya just want to slap 'em. Of course, that doesn't help your viewpoint to be accepted, either... Anyway...its time to quit wasting time talking about 'them.' That ever elusive 'they.'
Well....mostly.
We, as a human society, are subtly and subliminally trained not to believe. If 'we' did believe...that would pretty much be the end of organized religion in the Western World as we know it... because it serves as a handy dandy tool for government cover-ups and mind-control. Not to worry. Its not my intention to get anyone to swallow what is called 'conspiracy theories' ... a good definition for that being: any ideas that one absolutely refuses to believe because it causes an immediate 'loss of one's own power' reaction. This happens to ALL of us when we have a fear or anger reaction. The 'parent' of anger is Fear.
So...ARE their inhabitants on other planets? Sure! Why shouldn't there be? What are they like? Who knows. Some claim they know. Do they 'walk amongst us?' I believe they do.
How would you describe what 'we' are like? As with any subject that has the potential for being controversial -- there are two sides to each story. Sometimes more than two. As Quantum Physics teaches...it is the observer that affects his own outcome/reality. For people who do not either understand--or refuse to understand the theory of Quantum Physics --here is its Opposite. It's opposite means: I refuse to believe that unless my five senses can perceive or 'prove' it...the rest is just poppycock. I need scientific proof.
Trouble is, most people's idea of scientific proof is sadly outdated, outmoded, and knowingly or unknowingly kept from ever expanding and growing.
There are multi-millions of people who 'believe' in extraterrestrial life (on every continent!) I would venture to say they are in the majority... however, their willingness to admit it to others (or themselves) varies a great deal.
Many adherents of the more 'modern' Western religions seem to have found a comfortable blending of 'religion and science' and they are not condemned for thinking out of the dogma box.
Most Eastern religions have simply never made a problem of extraterrestrial life. To them, it simply is something that "IS" in the Now...
Many do ask: why ...WHY would the government do a 'cover up'... Some ask this rather defiantly while others may simply wonder. For one thing, if this question comes laden down with defiance and a ready-to-argue attitude, it means one's chosen belief system is one that reflects he 'believes' the news, the media, and 'all that we are told' is gospel 'Truth'. They, (in America) would far prefer to blame either the Democrats, the Republicans, or the Tea Party for all the materialized or potential problems we are/ will be having. But still think of the government as just fine and dandy. They are -- as David Icke calls them: sheeple.
Yes, I believe we have been 'visited' --probably since the beginning of our own personally recorded history (and before). Who actually sees, witnesses, or participates with ET or UFO scenarios are most generally 'believers.' This of course, invites the non-believers to say 'it's all in their imaginations.' (Ever read what Einstein has to say about Imagination?) However, there are those who are called "experiencers" who prior to--never, ever 'believed!!'
We are Energy. Everything is Energy. In Easter religions, what seems REAL may be referred to as "Illusion"... One could also use the term Vibration...or Frequency.
TV shows and movies can either do a good job of 'laying the groundwork for acceptance'...Or, quite the opposite and attempt to convince the enraptured audiences that evil 'monsters from Outer Space' are here to kill us and take over our planet. Well, how about this: Why can't their be both? What can't our thoughts of 'what is out there' extend to the same exact way we HUMANS act, react, and behave.
Do the ETs travel for a ka-zillion miles across the galaxies to get here ... or might we consider a concept that has far more to do with Energy and Vibration? (or Illusion) We live in a vibrational universe. Yes, "science" proves this.

All About God: Who is Right? Who is Wrong? Part TWO

To me, if one is claiming to follow a certain religion -- one should try to emulate its 'leader,' and follow the teachings of that leader.

A lot of jokes have been made about "WWJD"...(What Would Jesus Do)... and yet I see little connection to the thinking, actions, or reactions of people who call themselves Christians to the actual teachings of Jesus. There is, however, a very obvious tendency to obediently follow the man-invented dogma that makes up the 'church rules'...or...following whatever church's interpretation is of scriptures. The "god says" thing. Anyone can prove or disprove anything and everything by 'quoting scripture.' The Bible, to me, has the most mixed up, contradictory, elusive, and intangible stories and lessons to follow. Many claim each word was 'inspired'...so to disagree or question ANY of it is, therefore, "blasphemy," punishable by hell.

I personally believe that the bulk of what Jesus talked about is based on the universal Law of Attraction,; even though out of necessity the wording had to be put into the language (venacular) based on the ideas, beliefs and mindsets of the people during that age. Information is fnally seeping out about the 'missing years' of Jesus and actually scrolls and scripts from India prove that he did indeed spend many years in the far East.

So much of the Christian religious dogma is based on what one should NOT do;... no explanations, of course, connected to 'real life in the present'...Just believe it and don't do it!!...According to church teachings man was "born in sin" and in need of being save from being sinful, dirty, and unclean. Jesus didn't form a church!! -- politicians and people greedy for control and power formed 'the church.'

So many people have no idea what they believe. There usual mantra is..."I don't really know much about anything but I believe in 'God and the Bible.' " Like that utterance will protect them from the wrath of God.

The Bible's 'teachings' can / have been so maniuplated that it can be used to 'prove' or 'disprove' anything. And God 'chooses' certain people to reveal himself to (and they become the so called experts)...so that the scriptures can't be taken out of context: like: "Judas went out and hung himself"..."Go thou, therefore, and do likewise." See what I mean? :) To me, the most aggravating thing Christians hide behind when they get all self-righteous, huffy and puffy, close their eyes and utter "Well, that is not up to ME to judge...I'll let GOD take care of that." They become all gleeful at the idea of God punishing those who disagree with them... Obnoxious fools.

There are comparitively newer Christian religions that are based in positivity formed by souls brave enough to THINK...to break away from dogma....They managed to avoid the hell and damnation and thou shalt nots refusing to use this as their entire basis for forming a church...This grouping of churches are referred to as New Thought or New Age.

Some New Age Christian-based religions have incorporated what is scientifically and spiritually referred to as Universal Laws. (having a basis or 'proof' scientifically displayed via Quantum Physics.) During the 60's...some of these mavorick churches attempted to incorporate Yoga, Buddhism and Hinduism into their 'doctrines' making the whole scene more appealing and more comfortable (less frightening) all the way around. Some of it got absurdly ridiculous--BUT!!--as reflected by the hippie culture of the 60's...it was, at least, WONDERFUL to break FREE of all the dark teachings and just BE...without being constantly threatened.

I had been one of those desparately seeking to get away from the fire and brimstone, fear and guilt conditioning of Christian Churches. What I feel literally saved my mind was coming across the book "The Autobiography Of A Yogi"...a story based on the life of Paramahansa Yogananda... it served as a bridge that my consciousness could accept...but the struggle to get over the programmed fear usually proves itself to be ongoing. Old beliefs never die...we just have to keep making conscious CHOICES as to what we truly WANT to believe.

What about Judaism and Islam? Fortunately I had the sense not to 'embrace' either of them in my search. Islam is also very fear-based. And what can you say about the Judaism...?...How about: they run all the secret organizations that rule the world...The Bielderbergs, the Rothchilds, the TriLateral Commission, etc...and are God's 'chosen ones'. Enough said. Draw your own conclusions (hopefully, you are not afraid to do so...)

If there are those of you who take your spirituality seriously...but not 'religion' per say, and enjoy getting together with your Sunday morning community...GOOD FOR YOU!! I really mean that. Hopefully communities like this will continue to be on the INCREASE...while the threatening dominance of the Shadow Government behind the formal 'religions' are becoming less and less popular. This is a GOOD sign. It is HUMAN AFFIRMING. HEY! --If it makes you feel good -- go for it!! (of course, a lot of good church people will totally misconstrue what I just said!...)

All about "GOD": Who is Right? and Who is Wrong? (Part One)

It's close to that 'time of year' again...well, actually one of TWO times a year that many "have to" or "should" go to church.' Christmas is one of those times. Easter is the other.

I have been reading a number of articles lately that say that religion is on the decline in many parts of the world, and almost on the verge of extinction in a number of countries...Predictably, many people would call this a sign that 'situations and people are getting worse.' It's interesting, to me, that countries with low church attendance have the lowest rate of crime compared to the more 'religious' countries. I watched a fascinating documentary last week called "The Dhamma Brothers"...an experiment in teaching the worst of some of the prisoners meditation, inner reflection, and just 'being with themselves.' Crime dropped surprisingly and significantly. When a new Prison head took over and banished this practice because "I'm not gonna let MY inmates turn into no damn Buddhists!"...and insisted Christian religious programs be reinstated...once again prison problems skyrocketed. Thankfully, several years later, this man quit his job, the practice of meditation returned (and was adopted by several other maximum security prisons!) and a huge improvement was again seen.

When I speak about religion -- I am NOT referring to spirituality: which I see as the individuals search within oneself for understanding of the 'bigger picture' of life. Basically religious dogma instills the need to be 'saved'...that without this you are eternally damned; whereas, for the most part, people on a spiritual path are finding and accepting the GOOD within themselves.

I believe that the decline in church/ temple/mosque attendance, means that people are getting SO tired of being told what to think, what to do, what is right, abd what is wrong. Christianity and Islam, especially, are the most adamant in programming and mind control...and do NOT encourage one to believe in oneself (the old born in sin bit)...but 'dogma'tically insist upon the necessity of being 'saved'... In the Christian world, its the extremes that are the worst. (I am talking from a Been There, Done That!!--through MANY religions) Catholicism encompasses hierarchy, with the average Catholic mass attender being regarded as the lowest on the church's totem pole. Its laws, rules, and regulations require strict adherence, never to be questioned or challenged (like going to church to take communion on Easter Sunday !!) One benefit of being Catholic (for some people) is that you never have to strain your brain to THINK for yourself. Just accept implicitly what you are told is 'right.'

The other Christian extreme spotlights the Evangelicals (The Wild Bunch)...a very rowdy, emotional, and verbal crowd whose main fun and duty!) seems to center around condemning to hell and judging all others who are not of the same mindset as they are. The supreme example being the Westboro Baptist Church.

There is a lengthy list of church types in between these two extremists that show the most decline in attendance. Perhaps the reason for this is: both the extremes are so 'right' it leaves little wiggle room, so as long as you do and think 'what you are supposed to' ...everything is cool and you are in like Flint with God. And many need the security of being 'a member of that IN crowd, ya know...)

I do not consider the Eastern religions (or the Earthen religions--such as paganism and Wicca) as being dangerous to the mind. None of them are monotheistic. I know only the basics of Judaism and Islam...and they simply tend to irritate me. Christians like to accuse Muslims of being dangerous and wanting to kill, kill, kill...and YET...throughout recorded history, Christians have killed many MORE MILLIONS of people 'in the name of their God'..then ANY of the other religious adherents. This is seldom emphasized because of who our world leaders are (the ones we think are leaders, and the ones who really run the show.)

The ancient Egyptians were doing just splendidly until Akhenatun decided to change from Polytheism to Monotheism... this was the earliest in recorded history that says this Pharaoh insisted upon the One God theory. Needless to say, Egypt at that time (which was also the time of Moses) went into a huge 'recession' of sorts: spiritually, economically, socially. After Akhenatun died Egypt went about picking up the pieces and recovered, so to speak, but it was never quite the same.

Scholars still debate the historic accuracy of the Bible. It is filled with so much contradiction. Many religionists are very afraid to see it as anything but totally holy and are afraid to analyze or question any part of it. It's interesting (and somewhat comical) that the so-called one Biblical God...of the Jews, AND Christians, AND Muslims all unwillingly share the origins of this same god;,Very few know the ancient history of this god. He was one of two brothers...Enlil (he wasn't the nice one but had a good business sense) and brother Enki who lost out in getting to be the One God over Earth and its Heaven. They were the sons of Anu. (it might interest some of you that YES...he was / is the god of the Anunaki)...

The Egyptians, in spite of being Polytheistic, DID know that 'whatever' is the very essence, life and movement of the Universe and beyond, ad infinitum --could not possibly be contained by a 'name'...which included the limiting word 'god'... and this Force was referred to as "that which has no name." It was beyond human conception.

Part of the reason why Christians (especially) and Jews and Muslims think they have a 'corner' on "God" who "is on their side!" is that they think so SMALL and see God as a sort of Heavenly Superman...and extremely 'humanized.' They verbally knock each other upside the head with their bibles, 'proving' their beliefs with scripture in some cases...or... with the more 'formal' of religions--have this arrogant "knowing" that THEY have the corner on "the Truth" and are known simply as "The Church."

AND, We all know which of the organized religions claim to be 'God's Chosen' ...and feel no need to argue...While the 'other' group rivals America's ability to want to be at war...And--isn't it strange!?-- ALL of these religions do so in the name of 'serving God and country.' Talk about a Divine Comedy. Its all SO ludicrous...but it can be interesting and entertaining and even mind expanding-- IF-- not taken too seriously. Sadly, though, Fear and Guilt conditioning reign supreme...and the thought of even questioning the beliefs that 'somebody' told you is the one you must accept--becomes blasphemy...and with that, of coursem, comes eternal hell and damnation.

I am a big fan of Joseph Campbell's ...When seen from a more emotionally-detached viewpoint, one can see the similarities between all the religions of the world...some of which far, FAR preceed Judaism...by many thousands of years. We call the former 'mythology'...and refer to our present day stories as 'religion.'

Next: PART TWO. The Good, and Not So Good effects of organized religion on humanity..and how Buddhism and Hinduism and other eastern religions including the NEW AGE movement...fits in to all this conundrum.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO MY OPINION...

One of the funniest posters I've seen was that of a Persian cat -- the caption said: "Everybody Has A Right To My Opinion."

We all know people (never US, of course!) whose word is 'final' and indisputable. We prefer to think of ourselves in rather liberal terms and sometimes say to others: "Everyone has a right to their own opinion" -- but to ourselves we mutter "regardless of how wrong they are...

If you've ever noticed ...when people say "You've got a right to your own opinion" their body English is a dead giveaway... Often they will cross their arms...or glance off to the side...or say this in a manner that is either sanctimonious -- or openly tinged with sarcasm... Sometimes its possible for us to emotionally step back far enough so that we see the humor in the situation that we take waaaaay too seriously.

Then there's the latest New Age comeback which, although its origins were undoubtedly well intended, can be even more self-righteous: "Oh well," resigned sigh generally follows, "I'd rather be happy than right." ...(this one usually can be loosely translated as: I'm spiritually superior to you...) ((makes you just wanna smack 'em!))

We all have to admit that sometimes its reeeeally hard to just Let It Go...and let that "God" speak! And, most of understand that it's wise to take any and all opinions, beliefs, and dogma of any kind --with a grain of salt.

If we have been raised to believe there is 'only one true way' of thinking -- regardless of the subject matter, but especially in the area of religion; we know that it's a bit of an uphill battle to abandon the attitude of: 'I've got to be right because its my sacred duty.' Added to this, albeit often unrecognized: "My validation and respect from others comes from my 'being right.' OR "If I'm 'wrong' about this or that...I will lose credibility and poof !!--there goes my self-esteem." Back to not 'being good enough.'

Some of us might remember The Fonz from "Happy Days." Good ol' Fonzie was highly allergic to the word 'wrong.' ... He would stumble and stutter over it before he could admit he was wrong. We could laugh at that... but after all, that was just a comedy! Not meant to be taken seriously!

It's hard to give in when you just KNOW you are right. You can offer proof: statistics, data, impressive examples, etc ... What about if what you KNOW is right is core, is central, to your own innermost beliefs? Isn't 'giving up' the same as admitting you were 'wrong?'

Someone once told me: "If you have to argue your point, it might possibly mean you are not sure of it yourself." Wise words. I sometimes forget them ... but! -- not always. We are all getting better at remembering. And basically, remembering is what it's all about.

We tend to forget that our opinion is just that: our opinion. No one has a corner on The Truth. And really --is there such a thing as "THE" truth. It's all just part of What Is. All part of All That Is.

If we can learn to Let It Go... and be content to apply what is 'our truth' to ourselves and do the best we can ... we are more apt to find Freedom...and with that kind of Freedom comes what we are truly seeking: Inner Peace.

Of course, that is just my opinion!

It's "OK!" to Feel Hate!! Or As Rosanna Rosana Danna (SNL) used to say: "I'm Ok, You're OK. I'm my Own Best Friend!"

Do you remember the last time you truly felt hateful towards some one?...or perhaps a group of people. I do. Wasn't that long ago!
There are times when hatred seems to overtake our entire being. During those horrid times , we may feel like we'll never be able to feel good or at peace again. But we CAN. If we want to.
Feeling hatred is not 'wrong' ... Negative emotions of any kind does not make us 'bad.' They are a valid part of being human...and we experience them for reasons of balance and equilibrium. They are the biggest part of our built in Guidance System.
There is no such thing as remaining in a 'good mood' or dwelling in a constant immersion of 'positive emotions.' Life is made up of the Yin and the Yang... If it wouldn't be for the Darkness -- how would we recognize the Light?
Seth very wisely warned us not to attempt to be rid of, or cover up our so called negative emotions with false nice-isms... Or as Abe says: You don't slap a happy face sticker over a gas gauge that shows empty and keep driving!
If left alone, these emotions will run their course and we will feel 'normal' again. We tend to equate hatred with violence, but this is not necessarily a truth. Seth also told us it is not hatred that leads to violence... it is a sense of powerlessness that leads to violence.
People who perpetrate violence physically OR verbally... have a desperate need to control others because they do not believe in themselves... or the validity and inate goodness of their being.
Hatred is an instant reaction to FEAR. Fear, it is said, is the 'parent' of hate. When someone or some group or some action has upset our own personal little apple cart, we feel, temporarily that we have lost control... If we ALLOW whoever or whatever upsets us to keep bothering us; if we keep focusing and giving our attention to the situation; when we realize we cannot change them or the situation ... we feel powerless....this results in Fear...and this CAN lead us to violence... physically, verbally...or both.
When a person purposely tries to immediately stifle, cover up, or swallow all of their feelings / emotions; and believes he has 'no right' to 'negative emotions' ... those emotions will still make themselves known! Refusing to recognize the validity of ANY of our emotions and trying to bury them deep within us will makes them even stronger. Sooner or later they WILL surface. They will harm us -- by manifesting as sickness, either mental or physical. Guilt over one's 'negative emotions' may also result in one's emotional dam overflowing -- and again -- ill health, mental or physical, will result. OR it can affect what one materially manifests in life. They will appear as the unwanted consequences of our 'punishing ourselves' for not being 'good enough.'
Negative emotions (or GOOD emotions!) of any kind are basically trying to 'tell us something.' In order to find out what that 'something' is ... it requires putting aside our 'wanting to control,' easily frightened or offended, fragile, demanding Ego. It also requires abandoning the need to make 'others' wrong. This doesn't mean that those 'others' haven't been 'wrong' and maybe they ARE complete jerks...(or worse!) but NOTHING provides a stronger glue that binds us to those self-damaging negative emotions as does BLAME.
Sometimes people forget that Blame has the potential for causing more self-inflicted damage to ourselves than do the comparitively short bouts with hate, jealousy, anger, verbal or even physical spats, etc etc etc... because Blame and Resentment can be found to stay with people for years...and years... You will find these traits embedded within people who always appear to be very 'positive' or cheery, or long suffering martyrs, etc etc etc ...
Both my daughter and I found ourselves really hating a certain 'group of people'... and our wish was to have them beamed up into outer space to endlessly float there... Personally I thought we were being more than generous. We KNEW the feelings we had would subside on their own... we wanted them to... That is basic to any kind of healing! BUT we did not try to slap a happy face sticker on the situation...or say "I don't REALLY feel that way..." ...cuz oh YES, we did!! The trick here is about having bare-faced self-honesty... and it helps so so so much to self-realize that it doesn't FEEL GOOD to hate.... regardless of how 'justified' we think our feelings might be.
I have known only several people who seemed to spend their entire lives being angry, resentful, hating others, and constantly blaming. Victims of the worst kind. One died early in life...the others punished themselves by living long, unhappy, exceedingly miserable lives. Even when a 'wrong' is done to us and YES...it happens!... we cannot let those suckers WIN by keeping us in a perpetual state of hate or blame. It hardly hurts them and it devastates us!!.
I do believe that, even though its ok, normal, fine, etc, to experience negative emotions...that we are capable of lessening the intensity of their duration. I do also believe that we are capable of learning to detach more quickly from unpleasant to 'bad' situations. This doesn't mean to 'shut down' or become some sort of a stoic. But to expand our consciousness to the point where we can 'see' and have our experiences in life with a much broader, more enlightened perspective. Even though most of us agree that we DO create our own reality...this doesn't mean trying to over-analyze everything from the standpoint of "what did I do wrong? what did I do to create this?" A lighter attitude of 'OK...I'm willing to see what I need to see, and learn what I need to learn'... __and mean it!__ Then Let It Go and move on! Because blaming oneself is just as self-damaging as blaming others. It keeps us stuck in the muck.
Someone once said: "It's not that we have so much more to learn... as there is more UN-learning that we need to do" ... dropping some of those old dogmatic ideas and beliefs that keep us down... Instead we must determine to allow ourselves to become more of the self-empowered creators that we really are.
Or...as Seth said: "You take it all too seriously." We have got to stop living in FEAR... As the P's always say: "Everything we experience comes from one of two sources ... one is Love and the other is Fear."
Trust. Trust. Trust.... We just gotta do it!

Who are the homeless people?

Why are there homeless? Who makes up the homeless? Why is it we so often lack sympathy for them?
Few people are so ignorant that one hears "Why don't you get a job ?!" To hear that kind of a remark reflects that one is entirely oblivious to what is happening all around us....as well as to themselves.
The majority of all homeless people are veterans. Those who marched off to war to serve 'god and country' -- killing people in foreign countries, destroying their land and property. Most of the veterans who are now living as homeless on the streets paid with their MINDS doing 'the duty' that was required of them. When they returned to the states many had to be continuously drugged up in order to at least partially fit in with the establishment.
The majority of those who join the military do so because it is a JOB... It's a paycheck, one is furnished with housing and health care... although the latter is somewhat of a joke.... ask anyone dependant upon the VA hospital/care systems.
I myself worked in a facility for veterans who could not function on the 'outside'... and they were, in my opinion, guina pigs to see how many psychotropic drugs they could endure... and remain passive and 'not cause trouble....and not die' One man took over 20 different psychotropic drugs per day.
So...until everyone refuses to go to war ... war will continue as a 'necessity' and a mind set... War is also big business and profitable for corporations. Human life is dispensable. It's all OK as long as we salute 'those who serve' and tell them they are deserving of honor because they are serving us and god.... We desperately try believe this. That is the really sad part.
We get angry when 'bums'... or more politcally correct called 'street people'... ask for money. Many DO want drugs, cigarettes, or booze. And naturally, we self-righteously condemn them for that. I've done it. I'm not going to LIE about that ... but there has always been something inside me that 'knows better' ... Denver has many shelters and many places to get 'free foods/meals.' We figure that's all they need.
The next largest group -- although it blends right in with the first group -- are the mentally ill. These are the ones that are not just dysfunctional in so far as inability to hold down a job -- but are brain damaged from trauma, or from drugs (legal or illegal) or from situations that caused them to shut down mentally. War will do that. (oh gee... did I forget??? Its all those bad terrorists fault...we have no choice but to go to war...) This group seldom has access to any kind of consistant medical/mental health assistance and are simply turned loose on the street.
The third and smallest group are made up of teens and youth... "Well, if they would just have listened to their parents!" ... many of them did. That's why they left home. They are a sub culture of their own. Many are into drugs... some are not. there stories are sad. Its a matter of survival.
These three groups make up over 90% of all the 'homeless" in our country. The rest are the ones that, for personal reasons, are 'drop outs' because they cannot deal with the games the establishment plays. Some may have 'good reasons'... but we tend to say NONE have good reason... and we refuse to show any mercy.
For a so called Christian nation, many have little sympathy, empathy, understanding, or tolerance of the homeless. Some people are totally callous -- not yet being enlightened to the fact that We ARE All ONE... It doesn't mean we can 'save' others...but it is a matter of one's own Inner Feelings -- especially feelings of compassion...AND...Non-Judgement.
There are some who through tragic reasons become homeless --including families-- and have no where to go. Usually these people receive help. Although the help afforded to illegals in this country is FAR greater and speedier. (not THEIR fault... this is just the way our government operates.)
I am not discounting the people who, following their own decisions and heart, do what they can and feel they must do to help alleviate the suffering of others. The person we are ACTUALLY serving ... is OURSELF. There is something to the old stand-by: What goes around, comes around.
You'll decide inbetween lives what you need to experience, learn, and even enjoy. This is not about 'punishment' or 'threats' ... just a way of our learning what best connects us to Source/God/our Higher Selves, etc..and truly Feeling GOOD.
I think much of our cruel-feeling reactions towards the homeless is fear based. Is there anything we would want to experience LESS than what they are going through? It's doubtful.
If I give a dollar to a beggar ... I should not care WHAT he/she does with it. If you want that dollar held accountable...its probably best I don't give anything. Many 'resentful givers' are not happy about what they 'pay themselves' -- getting very little satisfaction out of their purchases even though they THOUGHT it would make them happy.
From a metaphysical viewpoint: When Jesus said "Whatever you have done for the least of these, my brethern, you have done it unto me". ... he was talking about honoring our OWN Christ Source within, our OWN InnerSelf... that which brings us true joy ... which is never accomplished by 'dutiful giving' to either others ...or oneself.
So the next time a homeless person approaches us asking for spare change ... we should perhaps take pause and momentarily dispense with judgment...and at least answer the person with respect. Perhaps inwardly blessing him or her, and wishing them well... and if we DO give out that dollar ... know that we are doing it to honor the Source within US ... What I am saying applies to ME, too... because too often I have forgotten... and I have to remind myself --ask myself "Why did this person come to ME? What am I to learn here?" You know...that good ol' Law of Attraction!

What Do We Have to Fear? Why Do We Fear It?

The best quote on the subject of fear -- came from President Roosevelt during his inaugural speech in the year 1933. He said: "The only thing we have to fear -- is fear itself -- nameless, unreasoning, unjustified which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance."
How do we engage in 'retreat' ? It's not necessarily meaning to disengage from some kind of 'battle' ..but to paralyze our own thinking to the point where we forfeit all of our innate power to create our reality.
I believe its true: fear of separation is the greatest fear of all. Separation from anything and anyone; from the fear of losing some one's admiration, to losing our possessions; from being 'out of control' of any kind of situation ... to what we too often perceive as the greatest fear of all: death.
The funny part of it is: it really IS all 'illusion.'...and I am not talking 'fluffy talk' here.
We all die to our present lifetimes...but I believe the teachers who say we never lose consciousness. We get so heavily into our present "reality" empowering it with our thoughts and minds -- so much so that at times we have ourselves convinced 'this is all there is' and that life continuing on is the illusion. That is pretty sad.
We don't always recognize that many of our responses decisions, or reactions to life are fear based. Often we justify them as being based in 'common sense.'
We basically have been taught that to worry, to fret and stew, to 'be concerned' to the point of obsession, is noble and a sign of a really 'good person.' Not just about friends and loved ones ... but every state of affairs imaginable. Heaven forbid we give the impression that we just plain 'don't give a damn' and win a place of honor on the list of world's worst human beings.
I'm NOT advocating apathy or lack of compassion ... but a healthy perspective and detachment. Being mindful, as Buddhism teaches, that we are MORE than these drama-queen roles we are playing out.
Take the word "saint." It puts you in mind of suffering, martyrdom, and an all around miserable life that certainly is not meant to be enjoyed. The more 'selfless' one is...the more elevated one's heavenly status. Some goofy adage sprang up from who knows where, that said: "God must really love poor people; that's why he made so many of them." AND if you are rich ... your chances of 'getting to heaven' to slim to none. Talk about FEAR of success of ANY kind -- material or physical! Sheesh. We all have storage lots filled with our 'yeah but's' and 'what if's' and instant justifications... and if we are honest ...we have to admit that they are fear based.
The government, the media, and even some of our 'entertainment' doles out our daily doses of fear. This makes us easier to control. This INCLUDES some conspiracy theorists! It's long been proven that the more you can keep people in fear, the easier they are to control...and be more receptive to even greater fears.
One of the most convincing arguments FOR fear is: think of the consequences and of course they are almost always dire ones...including the the #1 biggie: 'burning in hell'... We too often assume there is only one right way of thinking.
I believe the more one's attitude toward all of life itself is negative and leery...the more fear is apt to be present.
Another good definition of fear is: the apprehensive feeling of the 'unknown' or of what 'might happen.' Someone supposedly recently, did a survey and the conclusion was less than 10% of all of our fears ever come to fruition. Maybe there is a reason for that, too.
The Job 3:25 Bible quote is fairly well known: "That which I have feared has come upon me. That which I have dreaded has happened." Most of you will recognize this as the Law of Attraction. This is not implying that you will get whammied with something awful just because you occasionally entertain some fearful thoughts...but you DO get what you focus upon... (Seth... or any metaphysical teaching) ... and even if you don't get flattened by a steam roller, you still make your life miserable by always _choosing_ to live in fear.
A lot of our old baggage (fears, mostly) is being forced out into the open for us by this unrelenting, increasingly strong energy. Mine sure did this last time I got sick! It presented me with the choice: Hang On and be miserable...or Let Go and Feel SO much better!... This is what it does for all of us.
One of the sneakiest (and superstitious) fears we have is: "Yeah, but if I don't fear it -- it will probably then happen." (Kind of a twisted version of "respect") This most often came from another one of those horrible 'lessons' we were taught: "Just don't get too cock-sure of yourself, or something will happen to you!" Keep your fear. Keep your humility. Right. Sure. Ever analyze that one?
"Playing it safe" is not always based in wisdom. Nothing ventured, nothing gained shows a lot more zest for, and love of, life.
Healthy fear? OK, it exists.. to a point. It's prudent not to step out in front of a speeding car, but far too often its our fears that keeping hitting us...not speeding cars.
Overcoming our fears means being willing to recognize and acknowledge them. It's not the kind of baggage that is going to help us in these interesting and challenging times.
I've often thought those "No Fear" T-shirts were kind of neat. I have my work cut out for me. We all do!

WHY WE HAVE THE FRIENDS WE HAVE....

There are no 'accidental friendships.' There are no 'accidental relationships' of any kind. It's all the Law of Attraction at work.... on both sides.
I really DO appreciate my friends... I think of the wide variances of my own friends and therefore call them my "Motley Crue" Some of you will remember that band.
Some of you might stand a better chance of remembering this schmaltzy little Email forward penned by an anonymous author. It was entitled "Friends for a Reason, A Season, or a Lifetime." Aristotle wrote at length about friendship and he, too, said there were three categories of friendship, made for the purpose of 1) utility, --those who are of benefit to us; 2) pleasure, which included those things from passionate love affairs to fishing buddies; and 3) those 'of good,' in which friends would always seek out the good in the other -- comparable to 'lifetime' in the modern version. I prefer the simplicity of the modern version. As with all of the great philosophers, Aristotle tended to word it to death, although there are definite similarities to his modern day counterpart. I believe it is possible for all three descriptions to blend and intertwine in many of our relationships.
_Reason_: Friends for a reason. To me, this is the one I see as most highly based on the Law of Attraction. Opposites only appear to attract. One is simply doing a better job of hiding certain qualities, letting the other expose those qualities openly.
We draw or magnetize certain people into our lives because they DO seem to confirm us and our belief systems. They also mirror what we do NOT like about ourselves. That makes us want to go 'huh-uh' 'no sirree'...'no way, Jose' ' ... but in our non-defensive and non-guarded moments we can 'see' what we prefer not to see. Usually, this comes as an indicator that there is an area in our life we need to 'clean up.'
The opposite can be true. We can see in some of our friends what we like seeing in ourselves. Our "Reason" friends are most likely to me the ones with whom we share many basic beliefs. C.S. Lewis once said that often instant friendships were born when one tells the other: "Oh, I thought I was the only one who thought that way!"
__Season__: Friends for a Season: These are friends who come into our lives for a short time...perhaps only several years...maybe even for a few days. But, we have made a real 'connection.' Some teachers have told us: You can feel a powerful recognition of someone -- like sitting on the same bench at a bus stop, or in the aisle of a supermarket... that you may never see again; but perhaps he or she was a good friend in a different life, and its just a way of saying 'hello.'
Sometimes short term friends can prove to be very valuable teachers ... or of some needed comfort...or guides or angels taking human form that somehow serve us with a very important purpose. Barb Marciniak's Pleiadians have told us that in this very important and pivotal lifetime, we will somehow, in some way, connect with all friends (or family) that have been most important to us in all our lifetimes. Sometimes we might even recognize each other as such.
__Lifetime__: We have comparatively few 'lifetime' friends during one lifetime --the friends we have known since childhood. An exception, I believe, could be family groupings that we have recarnated with many times become Lifetime friends (or family.) It is always our choice, in between lifetimes, if we want to stay with the same groups or branch out and try something different for a different type of growth and expansion. Lifetime friends probably know us best of all. I like this definition of a friend: "Someone who knows all your faults and worst secrets and still likes you." As romantic as it sounds, I disagree with the premise that a person just has 'one soul mate.' We can become obsessively attached to the idea that NO ONE could possibly take this person's place and we could never love some one as much as this particular person. Here again, is where, to me, Buddhism explains things very well. This is Grasping and Attachment (cause of suffering) ...and therefore very limiting to the total Soul we really are. We will never 'lose touch' with all those we know and love... but they are not 'the only ones' we dearly love...hard as that may be to conceive of. We can also play different roles for each other in various lifetimes...just for the experience and expanding points of view. Its all about expansion and growth. Careful not to think of 'karma' as _punishment_...that is a very suffocating, limiting, false concept.

Sometimes friends drop out of our lives for various reasons, not the least of which can be that either they...or us...have decided that no more contact is better for us. But as Abraham says: All relationships are forever... the person you now want no more to do with is someone who might likely be a good buddy on 'the other side.' You don't have to 'put up with' anyone...but you best wish them well -- not for their sake -- but you own. Otherwise you will draw yet another person into your life who may look and sound different ... but will be amazingly similar to the one you dropped. So -- we owe it to ourselves to ask "What does this teach me?...What have I learned?"
After all, "I" the one that attracted that person into "my" life. Those of us who know we Create Our Own Reality, realize that we cannot continue to play The Blame Game' for any length of time. That keeps us from being free of the situation...which will be repeated until 'we catch on.' I do not at all mean to imply that we ARE, at times, much better off without certain people in our lives ... We just have to 'see things' from a much deeper and more perceptual point of view. There are NO such things as true victims. (although that is a very appalling concept for some people...)
As Creators...like Seth has told us ... we have chosen to play both on what we call The Dark Side and the Light Side... and to experience it ALL...because we are a part of All That Is.
There, are times, though, we have all most likely questioned what kind of heavenly nectar we were imbibing when we outlined the blueprints for our lifetimes.

What Happens in the New Year is Up to Us

We CAN make it a good New Year...if...we BELIEVE we can.

Many of you are acquainted with the term The Shift... as it applies to the Year 2012. That is the time the planets will all be aligned with the Galactic Center. It implies great change is in store for us. It is an 'opportuned time' for us. I believe that. But what is in store for us is up to us--each individual one of us.

Nothing will be imposed upon us that we do not somehow, in some way, consciously or unconsciously, agree to.

People who do not believe that they Create Their Own Reality do not believe that. They choose to believe they are 'victims'...or in more lofty sounding terms "survivors' of what happens to them.

Lately, it has become so glaringly obvious to me, that so many people are so mind-controlled, programmed, and hypnotized -- and therefore remain in a powerless state of being. However, I also see and am acquainted with people who have chosen to claim their empowerment and depart from the Blame Camp. When we start remembering Who We Really Are... and have, in many different ways, become Aware and Awakened to the "I AM" within ... it is then that we self-realize that we are continuously presented with CHOICES about what we DO and how we REACT to circumstances that we have co-created.

The Shift, I believe, is all individual. It will always be a Choice.

I love the humor of the teacher Abraham: "One of your main problems, dear people, is that you too often choose to face reality"... That is not 'living in the Now'...but continuously pointing backward and keeping the past fixed and in place -- in our present moment. So we continually get more of the same.

Several times during the past few days I have come across quotes that are similar in their message: One has to be willing to let go of all beliefs that are not serving us well. Sometimes this requires radical new thinking...especially when it requires abandoning the type of 'realistic thinking' that keeps us stuck in the past.

We all want 'good things to happen' to us...but we tend to act like our own thinking and belief systems have nothing to do with it. (which has everything to do with realistic thinking.)

Those who are familiar with Quantum physics KNOW that two things are crucial to outcome: 1) observation...and 2)expectation. If we put strong belief in what we 'see'...it will stay in place.

Seth said: "You get what you concentrate upon and give your attention to." So, for many of us, what is needed is what we might think of as 'frivolous' :Pollyanna thinking! (Or believing in Unicorns!) Thing is -- most of us know it works....unless one has the countering belief: "oh well, something will probably go wrong to ruin it." As Jesus, Buddha and a host of others have said: "It IS done unto you according to your beliefs." We are trained to resort to Blame. Blaming anyone or anything that exists outside of ourselves.

Giving up Blame is the Name of the Game.Even when it defies 'logic and reason.'

Which means: We must stop blaming society, politicians, government, religion, Monsanto, neighbors and enemies, the NEWS and media, and actually ALLOW others to have what we think of as their totally screwed up opinions!

Whatever does NOT make us happy or promote feelings of peace and well being, we need to be willing to Let Go of... This includes our 'reactions.'

And if 'whatever' DOES make us feel good...we must also make sure that doesn't mean doing things we 'should' do because "God and Society" will then 'approve.' For some, I know, this simply is not thinking 'realistically' enough.

It feels like we are taking a huge RISK when indulging in experiencing incredible FREEDOM -- if we decide to "Follow Our Bliss." It seems many people do not want to let loose the comfort of being told what to d0. They prefer to keep striving to please others.

Remember the first "Matrix" movie? It's a lot like that. When we consciously or quite suddenly DETACH ourselves...step back and ask: what am I doing? what am I saying? how am I reacting and WHY?" ... it can be quite unsettling. We momentarily are not in the group of Sheeple ( a David Icke term) anymore...BUT...we are then quite Aware and Awake. We then become the Thinker behind the thinker...as Eckhart Tolle says.

I do not believe everyone will experience "A Shift" during this period of time. I'm not even saying its Right or Wrong not to do so. But if we want to expand, move ahead, and enact more of our own god-spirit empowerment, then, as the P's tell us: "You need to own your own mind!"

For the ones who choose not to... every New Year will be pretty much the same. Perhaps for lifetimes. I personally want to experience more connection to Source, more Joy and Self-Empowerment... and that will be up to me. Not to some misconceived idea of 'what will happen in the New Year.' It really IS up to us. I know I have my work cut out for me!

RIGHT NOW!...in this Red-Hot Minute...Is Where Peace Exists

" Now"..... It's not really a difficult concept, but it can be a bit tricky and elusive if we try to
over-analyze it. The other day I was talking with someone who has been going through a very rough time.
Our conversation had been about 'being in the Now'...which, I am finding, is the only place one can experience any real peace. She argued: "But that won't erase the fact that my brother is ill, that it looks like my house might be foreclosed on, that I might lose my job...that is always right there in my face!"
Realize it or not, we have this tendency to recreate scenarios from the past -- or project our fears into the future. Some say this is "realistic thinking"..."facing the facts"...or "what really is."
Unless one is willing to look at things UN-realistically, (which means you know that you create your own reality)...chances are that one's concentration, focus, and attention on what has happened (past) and one's dogged determination in believing that it will most likely repeat itself ..(future) will keep one trapped in the same miserable situations and mind sets that one is seeking so desperately to escape from.
We have been trained to 'learn from the past' ( yeah, like that really works!) and keep our eyes set on the future, deal with it!-- set our goals upon overcoming, etc etc etc etc... Taking time to stop and smell the flowers is just plain lazy! It's just not realistic enough.
We have been saturated with the idea of realistic thinking... sometimes coerced... sometimes even threatened with it. The biggest threat of all resulting in "fear of failure" and "not being good enough....or as good as 'others'."
Sometimes when I get a 'clear glimpse' of how programmed and misguided we can be (although many refuse to believe this)...it appears to be so sad and hopeless... however, once we are able to "see" that we are energy-- individualized and powerful creators -- is to finally be free and see The Light. This doesn't imply "no more problems ever" ...but it does mean we can navigate the ship through the roughest of waters and still retain an inner calm.
Both Eckhart Tolle and Depak Chopra, to me, do the best jobs of simplifying what is meant by Being in the Now. Being Present in the moment. Abe calls it being in the Vortex. Even though a storm may be surrounding you...you can still be safely and securely connected to Source and experience the Inner Peace that far too many believe unattainable. It IS attainable. But, you must believe that.
This has nothing to do with meeting 'spiritual goals' or deluding yourself into thinking that you will become utterly spiritually evolved 'if I follow these rules." Forget about good, better, or best. BE HERE NOW. (Thank you, Ram Dass) We must forget about our countless "yeah, but's" or "what if's"...and just LET GO of that type of thinking; otherwise all we do is judge ourselves according to the 'old beliefs / rules' that, let's face it, never worked all that well.

What can help is: when I catch myself (being mindful) stewing, fretting, grieving or agonizing over a situation that has already happened ... or... if my mind carries me away and creates some dreadful, worrisome fantasy I am projecting into the future (usually based on the past!)...I will STOP it...and say: "This is NOW. Right NOW. It is now...And right in this very present moment in time, I am fine. All is well. We get past it all. For this is my Intention. To Let Go...and KNOW that All is Well."
So how many "Yeah, but's" came up when you read that??? All those "Yeah, but's" are based on the continuous struggle of one's EGO...that has become addicted to...and FEEDS OFF OF.. all the most horrible stuff our mis-used imagination can possibly conjure up.
"Yeah but I can't help it. I can't stop worrying. After all, I LOVE this person, these people, this job, this thing, this whatever." We have been taught to believe that worrying is not 'wrong' ... it simply is the inevitable result of our loving concern for others....and this makes us 'good people.' We've been taught that there is great nobility in suffering...especially when it's done with quite a flair... We find it SO hard to accept that we can still love someone or something... and NOT get all bent out of shape. "I just can't help it" is the usual excuse. So we curl up and cozy into our victim mentality, feeling righteously (but fearfully) justified at being miserable and afraid.
SO!...What am I supposed to do? Not give a damn!? Be cruel and heartless, insensitive, and take on a 'who cares' attitude. If you, perhaps, just now thought that ... it is not because of what I have said... it is the result of the way most of us were taught and conditioned to react and think. "They" didn't purposely mean to hurt us...it's the way 'they' were taught.
I am in no way advocating that anyone not have compassion for their fellow human beings... not at all. People who hate people basically either hate themselves or are afraid of their very being-ness. To sincerely wish others goodness, mercy, and all forms of health and well-being... means not bring afraid to accept these same qualities for themselves. What one gives out...one gets back. That is not 'karma as-in punishment'...that is simply Universal Law based on the Law of Attraction.
Worrying does no good. We say 'oh I know that'...but too often not actually absorbing it. I believe what Buddhism teaches is the greatest fear of all.... The fear of separation. Separation from loved ones, anything that we are attached to...be in sentient or material. Death usually tops the list...although it seems like some people would rather die than 'not have' whoever or whatever. Kinda sad. Once we allow ourselves to truly believe in the eternalness of LIFE and LOVE... (and allow others to think as they please ...which is unconditional love...) then miraculously somehow, we will find ourselves having a diminishing need to slam on the brakes and say "WHOA...I'm in the NOW... and right NOW -- in this red not minute!-- All is well even while the storm clouds surround me"..
Inside the Vortex ... is Peace. Our connection to Source has always been there. We just forgot to look WITHIN...while we were so busy searching outside of ourselves.

Not to worry!...life will never become too humdrum or boring...! If we just wouldn't take it all so seriously...we could enjoy life all so much more. It's really "OK" to enjoy our lives and Feel Good!! Really...it is.

As per usual, there has been the predicted amount of fuss over the nativity scene in front of Denver's City and County Building.

Again, as per usual, the atheist community is rallying with their protest signs. A (new to me) group called The Organization for Logic and Reason has assumed the hefty expense of displaying huge billboards which say: Keep Religion Out of Government....

I'm for keeping religion and government separate...but, whether or not people can conceive of this or not... government and religion are enmeshed and intertwined in ways most people refuse to recognize.

Talk radio has promoted a lot of 'thinking' (and agitation) along the line of government vs religion. At times, it can be interesting, exasperating, annoying, and sometimes even maddening to listen to people's opinions about this controversial nativity scene... But, I, like everyone else, listen and hear things through my own filters...my own belief system. Here is the key: How willing am I too actually and sincerely ALLOW others to have belief systems that differ from mine"

On KHOW, 630 AM radio, Peter Boyles is someone one can both despise and appreciate...at the same time. He does an excellent job of pointing out the fact that the Christmas story is based on multi century old pagan holidays. Nearly ALL Christian holidays are pagan based. If one is acquainted with ancient mythology and the practices of the religions therein ...one can find common threads running throughout the vast majority of all myths. Most of these archaic stories include: A Holy Family; A Savior; A Trinity of sorts; and Life overcoming Death. Many contain varying degrees of sun worshipping...or one could say _SON_ worshipping. The Sun giving Light to the world...The Son giving Light to the world...etc etc etc.

Christianity is a comparatively young religion. So is Judaism if you choose to agree with the way some interpret the Old Testament. The roots of these fairly modern religious stories go back multi thousands of years long before Christianity, Judaism or Islam every existed.

I am not offended in the least by a nativity scene in front of a government building. I can appreciate the symbolism of the Nativity story without having to take it literally.

I don't see this as government 'promoting' Christianity. I would not care if they managed to hang an image of Mohamed flying through the air in a chariot. Neither would I care if a gigantic Star of David were hung amidst the stars across the top of the building. I would, however, think it very tacky if all these images and symbols got into a real competition with other!

To me, it is equally comical that avid anti-religionists think that simply by walking by and viewing a Nativity scene someone is going to be immediately immersed with a particular belief system.

To use the argument that Christmas, with all of its symbology, should be about "the true meaning of Christmas" is saying there is "only one way" that is correct. We will most likely always have to contend with good ol' Christian OR Muslim OR Jewish radicals / extremists. Thankfully there are the 'moderates' who don't look at this whole scenario with a life or death attitude.

WHY is it important that we all have to view 'what Christmas means to me' in the same exact way? The answer is!....(drum roll) because so many of our self-righteous ideas and beliefs are FEAR BASED. You must believe this or else... or else what?? "Well!!--Because God says so!" ... God. hmmm Now there is another concept open for interpretation. Here we go again on a subject where many religionists are, each in their OWN way, positive they have the corner on The Truth.

"Let There Be Peace on Earth, and let it begin with me" ... Ah, yes...

(and please, God, make everybody see everything my way so we all can have peace...) etc etc etc ...

It really does help to have a sense of humor.

SCANNERS, THE GOVERNMENT, and FAITH AND TRUST

To me there is nothing even faintly amusing about a pat-down or a full body scan: the work of the TSA's...in airports. I know that humor is usually a good way of handling even some of the most desperate of situations... but this leaves me stone cold.

After talking with family members who have recently flown plus several other friends or acquaintances...I am resolved to never accept this 'safety precaution' as justifiable.

Most of you know I have very little faith in government...ANY government. I consider even the most 'likeable' political puppets having strings that are pulled by The Powers That Be.

Whether or not you agree or vehemently disagree with me (many of my friends simply see my views as a baseless quirk in my personality...and that's OK. :)

If you know anything whatsoever about programming, behavioral psychology, hypnosis, or mind control, you know those principles are fully applied to this latest "safety precaution against terrorism."

If you can convince people that the decisions that are made "are for their own good" ...they will bow down and not only comply but be 'thankful.'

If you Google what the latest polls say about scanning and pat downs you will find its six of one, half dozen of the other. This, too, undoubtedly done 'on purpose' to keep the majority of our fair citizens in a more deeply entrenched state of uncertainly and confusion.

I have encountered only ONE person in the last several days that agreed that these scanning safety precautions are a necessary evil because of the Bad Guys... you know that ever present 'they' ..the terrorists.

Most of you also know that I have my sincere doubts about what the news media fed the populous about the happenings of 9-ll. However, I am heartened by the fact that at least some people are confused as to what they 'really' believe.

As I have said many times before, far too many people listen to the news and soak it up as 'gospel truth' ...never, ever daring to think that anyone in authority could be purposely be feeding us a bunch of hogwash meant to keep us in FEAR.... FEAR....that is what all of this is about.

F.D.R. said "We have nothing to fear but fear itself"...the New Testament says "That which I have feared has come upon me." THAT is The Law of Attraction ... an immutable universal law... What you BELIEVE...what you focus upon...is what you get. As good ol' Flip Wilson (aka Gearldine) ((some of you remember!)) said "What you SEE is what you GET." "See" meaning the incredible power of your own imagination...which is by far stronger than 'knowledge.'

How many people believe they Create Their Own Reality? I don't know. Fox News hasn't done a poll on that yet... But I do know that many people choose not to believe it. Because if you did, you would have to go much deeper into your soul on an inward search than would be comfortable. Not believing in that universal law leaves one with the benefit of BLAME...one can blame everyone: beginning with your parents, your school, your church, your boss/job...and 'the sinful world' in general which includes of course...The MUSLIMS...which in many people's minds is the equivalent of the word terrorist. When I remind people that Christians have killed more of the world's population of the years than any other religion/peopole/groujp/community...etc ad infinitum...they just sort of shrug and avert their eyes and go "hmmm..yeah..."

So...these evasive, humiliating, degrading 'safety precautions' one is now forced to go through is because of Islam...or the Muslims... You know that is exactly the program being sold...and most people have swallowed it, hook, line, and sinker.

I am sure along about now...someone wants to yell at me: "You'll see"...the next time one of 'them' blows up a plane, building, etc, etc.." you'll see how wrong you were, Betty!"...and smirk at me with glee...

And who knows... maybe it will happen...but how do any of us know that it was really "them"? Because CNN said so?...maybe even the sancitified PBS news...? Could it be...just possibly be...that Christians, Jews, and Islam are all being 'played' for idiots...by TPTB... just to see if they can own our minds?

The Pleidians (there she goes again with that stuff, eh? :) told us many years ago, that as the year 2012 comes closer, the battle to own our own minds will be the most important battle we have ever fought.

What will be the true underlying CAUSE of some kind of disaster -- will be triggered by the mass consciousness of whoever is involving themselves... and each of us chooses, continuously, as to what part of mass consciousness we choose to align with.

There are a lot of 'them' and 'they's involved, aren't there?...but it all comes down to the individual and how each creates what will happen in their own individual world...

If we choose the route of peace and love...and "think upon those things" it is what will primarily manifest in our world.

As far as this article goes... its 'been awhile' since I have written one so animated, right? Right!

But I know that I must lay down the 'writing megaphone' and be extremely careful what I give my OWN focus to ... This, dear friends, is really about what all of us need to do. Pay attention...to what we 'believe'...and what we are 'thinking'...and TURN OFF THE NEWS. If you are meant to find out something that is critical to your life...trust that you will. Don't give your inner power away to those who would control your minds.

Faith and Trust... it always somes down to that.

What Are You Thinking About? What Do You "think" about 2012..?

What do you think about all day long? That is a question that can be quite impossible to answer. We may not be able to make a long of a list of our thoughts ... but what we are capable of doing is being mindful of what those thoughts and ideas are that are demanding most of our focus and attention.

Thoughts are the most basic tools of creation. They are the foundation --the building blocks with which each of us creates our own reality.

Granted, not every fleeing thought that passes through our mind is going to manifest into our reality...(thank heavens!) but the thoughts that we concentrate upon, coupled with the emotion that intensifies as a result of those thoughts -- is the root cause of manifestation into our material world.

The teacher Abraham puts it quite simply: "A belief is only a thought that you keep thinking." It is 'done unto us according to our beliefs.' Our strongest beliefs --and the resultant thoughts based on those beliefs-- makes things manifest in our lives. Beliefs are opinions that we hold to be 'true'...There was a saying that got started in the 60's which we often found amusing: "Think Nice Thoughts" ... This particular era saw the influence of Eastern religion and philosophy that emphasized the importantance of being mindful of our thinking. Even though those three little words got tossed around a lot in jest ... many started to recognize the power that resulted from being mindful of our thoughts. Perhaps the famous of all the American 'thought books' was also written during the 60's. Normal Vincent Peale's "The Power of Positive Thinking."

Some people believe thoughts are just innocuus jibberish...or little half sentences that keep jumping around in our mind. Many believe "I have no control over my thoughts." They also sadly underestimate the very consciousness that maintains their very being. I am not meaning to imply that we are responsible for monitoring or controling every single thought that comes our way! That is truly impossible. We are all capable, however, of paying attention to the flow of our thoughts and redirect them or simply stop focusing on them, --and increasing our postive aspects.

Abraham says the easiest way to be mindful is not by 'looking at or listening to' your thoughts' -- but my doing mood checks. If you Feel Good...if you feel OK, chances are your thoughts are NOT creating or attracting anything unwanted in your life. The opposite is also true....Negative daydreams are OUT!

We CAN improve the quality of everything about our lives if we mindful. Most of the time a simple 'spot check' will do it...It also takes diligence and determination if we want things to change...but if 'little things' like feeling good emotionally, mentally, and physically; -- enjoying our relationships more... and just being all around more peaceful with increasing periods of joy MEAN anything to us... than I believe its worth the effort.

The best way to do this is by purposely finding things to appreciate. Little bitty things. BIG things... Something as simple as: I appreciate the fact that this little pencil in my hands works well. I am thankful for the clothes I am wearing." I like the way my sofa pillow feels...I appreciate all my things... my family members...friends...the little lady bug that just crawled by. The clouds. All these things are purpsely directed CHOICES that directly affect our frequencies...our vibrations. Voila! The Law of Attraction.

It's kinda fun to be able to present a challenge to folks who refuse to believe anything that can't be proven via their own 5 senses or by

scientific research.' Well, it can be proven!! I have discovered a wonderful book by Depak Chopra, entitled "Power, Freedom, and Grace: Living from the Source of Lasting Happiness" ...It puts Quantum Physics in a Class 101 format...so that anyone can understand how our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs form our world. I have read hundreds of spirituality based books... but NONE has put this knowledge so clearly --so succinctly as did this author!! -- While reading it, I had a plethora of Ah-HA's!!...and more than a few OMG's!!

Seth told us we keep recreating our bodies on a daily basis... (that 5 or 7 yrs business is nonsense and way obsolete!) OK... I believed Seth but not until I read this small book did I plainly see the 'how we do this.'

We really ARE powerful creators and yes, we DO create it all. We are each one of us -- a powerful and individualized part of This Field of Divine Intelligence which covers ALL THAT IS. Some people call it God. I don't like to..because it seems to demagnify what we ARE capable of conceptualizing!

The more we INTEND to purposely find things to appreciate day in and day out...even the smallest, wee mundane things like a blade of grass growing through a crack in the sidewalk!... the more habitual our positive thinking becomes.

We are human and can express it ALL--including what we call Evil or the Dark Side ...What is not wise is to insist that we have no choice in the matter.

Yes, we truly suffer at times, we become angry, we may even act out very horrendous things. John Bunyan in "Prilgrims Progress" says (paraphrased and populazaried later) "If all of our thoughts were to be openly exposed -- they would shame the Gates of Hell." Whew. Well. Hey!...we have ALL had those kinds of thoughts. Most pass harmlessly if we ALLOW them to...But to continously think upon them day and night and empower them with emotional focus WOULD, however, turn us into people who were continusouly attracting dire and unwanted circumstances into our lives. Sorry--but shit does NOT 'just happen.'

I like this quote from the book "Ask And It Is Given" by Abraham via Esther Hicks:

"The longer you focus on things that feel good to you, the easier it is for you to maintain those vibrational frequencies that feel good. And, the more you maintain those good feeling frequencies, the more the Law of Attraction will deliver to you other thoughts, experiences, people, and things that match your practiced vibration."

As I have written many times lately ... the energy IS stronger...things are manifesting at a much higher rate of frequency and intensity. Basically, we are each going to create our own 2012.... each in our way way...by what kind of 'thinking' we do about it.

Now, in closing...Abe frequently asks: "Do you know what you want?" _Think_ about it.

Don't Get Scared!...It's Just the Paranormal...(Pt. Two)

It's amazing what a wide variety of topics the term 'paranormal' covers!
The topic of 'ghosts' is usually at the top of the list, but the paranormal covers a plethora of subjects. Poltergeists, shadow people, vampires, werewolves, zombies are included. Cryptoid figures from the animal kingdom such as Mothman, Abominable snowman, Bigfoot, chupacabras, and 'monsters' of all sorts are also a part of this varying group. A more endearing faction of the paranormal encompasses unicorns, elves, faeries, dragons, leprechauns, etc..even though we tend to connect them more with fantasy. Subjects such as shape shifters and time travelers are more difficult to classify. Do all of these beings / entities really exist? Why not? As long as we remind ourselves that we create our own reality...and that what we manifest coincides with what we BELIEVE... we can sit back and enjoy it all. It's all mind expanding. Sometimes more like mind blowing!
If we are honest ...we have to admit there are times we enjoy a good scare! Fear, when seen as entertainment can be fun... as long as we remember to stay grounded. The paranormal can take us out of the mundane and into new and exciting worlds. Some people seem to use their imaginations so little that it does them good to wonder what may be lurking in the closet or under the bed!
Blending into regions of the paranormal is what we may call fantasy, with its stories of mythical creatures and age-old tales or legends... Do the labels legend or mythological make it less real or true? All of organized religion is based on mythology. The similarities between many ancient mythologies derived from the far reaches of the earth, bear amazing similarities to each another and to modern day religion. Most myths have their own versions of a 'holy family', a trinity of sorts, saviors and bad guys, good and evil, and 'lessons' to be learned. As has been said ... there are elements of truth in all things.
We tend to not treat very kindly those things we do not understand. This applies especially to what we call the paranormal. "It's OK to have fun with it, just don't take it seriously!" is what the doubting Thomas or skeptics say. On the other hand, why take religion seriously? "Until you prove to me that your rituals, prayers, and scriptures are scientifically provable, why should I believe you?" ...Oh, but that's different... Is it? Really?
On the flip side, Quantum Physics has been showing for quite some time, actual 'scientific proof' that it is our Inner Power, the consciousness of which we are all made-- is what is doing the creating, and subsequent manifesting. This is why prayer works for the religiosity's, why magick works for pagans and why BELIEF (or directed consciousness), is the bottom line...the root...of it ALL. We are talking Truly believing... not the mechanical reciting of rituals, dogma, spells, or incantations.
Someone once said that true Yogi's are the show-offs of the metaphysical world. They can walk on burning coals, they can levitate, and they can put their hands through solid objects without any seeming effort. It is also said of them, they have gone beyond 'belief' to that Inner KNOWING which transcends physical matter. This is the stuff 'miracles' are made of... not dispensed by a god who is showing special favor to certain people.
I have several friends who are SO open to the the so called 'spirit world' they can see into -- or hear entities from other dimensions with little or no effort. What we call the spirit world is not made up of globs of nebulous, shapeless non-substances. The existence of other dimensions is just as genuine and 'real' as ours...Or I could say "just as illusional."
We are all part of layered and intertwining dimensions of varying vibrations and frequencies of which we, with our 3D eyes, are not usually capable of seeing...However, upon occasion, we DO let down our 'programmed guard' and see what we 'shouldn't !'
The Beatles song "Come Together" ...'come together right now over me'... is SO apropos. So many things are 'coming together' and happening SO FAST...that many of us are wondering...what will happen next! NOTHING is the same anymore. There is no taking refuge in the old familiar safety zones..at least not once you become aware of "who you really are" as the P's and other teachers tell us. Peace can only be found within. It cannot be sought after or un to-- anywhere 'out there.' Not anymore.
Some people consider the "2012" prophesy as 'paranormal' nonsense. I personally think it will involve drastic change because of the intense and complicated focus and attention it is getting...It's ALREADY creating more 'creative chaos!'
Attention and focus are the tools of creation which lead to manifestation. As Seth would say: "Which You, Which World" do you want to be a part of? To realize we have 'a choice' is the beginning of a freedom so immense that it can be a bit scary and formidable!...but also tremendously exciting and enthralling.
To the pagans. Halloween or "Samhain" (pronounced Saw'-win)...was a time of thinning of the veils between the physical and the spiritual world...a time in which the two worlds became enmeshed, enabling contact between the living and the dead. Most of us know, as did the Pagans, there is transitioning and change...but no real death...
I believe this particular Halloween will have a very significant meaning to many who are on a path of Awareness. You can already field the 'wild and wierd' energy! It's beginning to feel 'normal.'
And so the 'para' ...the along-side...becomes the new 'norm.' Then what? Who knows?!... but I would definitely stay 'tuned in.'

Don't Get Scared! It's Just the Paranormal-!! (Pt. One)

Many people become rather frightened at the mere mention of the word: paranormal. Instead of showing fear, they may laugh, they may joke, or they may be quick to 'put down' the person who expresses a belief in anything they themselves can not...or do not want... to understand.
The Greek meaning of 'para' means "beside, along side, near, irregular, or in addition to." The paranormal includes a wide variety of phenomena, objects, beings, or situations that cannot be explained in a so called logical or rational fashion. I am not including the word 'scientific'... because science itself is expanding and 'catching up' to what many of us have known for ages...most especially in the field of Quantum Physics.
Some people believe in ghosts but think the idea of extraterrestrials is absurd. The opposite is also true. I find this a bit funny.
It's been my observation that people who refuse to believe in anything considered paranormal...are also afraid to venture outside the little boxes that society has contrived. They feel uncomfortable appearing to others as anything except what they think of as 'normal'. They find it difficult to leave the safety zones of what they believe is discerning or intelligent rationale. In plain language...they are afraid of being made fun of ! These are the same people who feel safer believing in mainstream ideas; in what our illustrious leaders say;' what the media reports, and -- in what authority figures tells them is 'true.' When trying to speak with them about any kind of paranormal activity, they usually become defensive and hide behind that good ol' reliable one-liner-clincher: "Prove it to me!!"
The Law of Attraction is always doing its thing--which is the reason these "I Do NOT WANT to Believe" people seldom encounter anything paranormal! in view of their tightly reigned-in, narrow beliefs -- it leaves them with little or no room to welcome some really far-out, cool paranormal experiences! If something paranormal does manage to manifest in some small way in their experience, they usually attempt to analyze it to death, determined to come up with a 'rational explanation'...even if they have to make one up!
At times, groups of polar opposites (ex: the ultra religious as opposed to atheists) actually share an emphatic disbelief in what is called "channeling"... During channeling, messages are received from discarnate entities. This is something I find amusing: The Bible was 'channeled'... because the God of all Religions was either missing his Bic or simply preferred his 'secretaries' take dictation who would then claime what they were receiving came straight from their one and only god. Oh, but that's different!! Nah...not really....
When my children were of elementary school age, we lived in an apartment in Littleton. We shared our home with a poltergeist we nicknamed Francis. We mostly enjoyed his harmless although very ornery antics. It was only after I gingerly revealed, to the manager, some of the pranks Francis pulled off, that she confessed to me that her former tenants had the same exact 'problem' in that apartment. Compared to the stunts he pulled on the other family... let's just say Francis must have liked us!
Fortune tellers, astrologists, card readers, runes readers, divining, etc...have been around for multi-thousands of years. There ARE gifted psychics who can see into certain of your probabilities. 'Good' psychics can tell you what is most likely to occur because they can read what is called your energy field. An honest psychic knows you create your own reality. They know you can pick and choose totally different probabilities at any time. On the lighter side, we all know people who are so 'predictable' or 'easy to read' that anyone can prophesy their probable outcomes! We say "I know exactly what he/she is going to happen to him!"... That 'feeling you get' -- is also energy-reading. All things/beings are made up of vibrations. Vibration is energy. Hence, everything has an energy field.
I don't like using phrases like "science has proven" to justify any of my uncommon beliefs. I am finding, happily so, that many more people are becoming both more open-minded and aware of the paranormal, even to the point where they realize we are surrounded by...and immersed in different dimensions, Some people are even accepting the idea of parallel universes!
There are a number of people who can 'hear and see' beings/entities who exist in other dimensions. Some may pick up on 'ghosts of the past' including relatives or friends-and some may be 'strangers.' (although my own version of ghosts is very different from the more popularized versions meant for entertainment) It's not a good idea to 'dabble' in this kind of thing just for fun and games. There are both 'good and bad' entities that are willing to 'make contact.'
What some may explain as 'optical illusions' could be described more accurately as the "quick switching of dimensions." For instance: we have all placed an object in a certain place...turned around...and the object is gone. Eventually it will reappear again when we don't expect it to. It's easy to say "Oh, I just didn't see it." Too often we are too ready to 'explain away' all kinds of paranormal activities...because we don't want other people to think we're crazy!....
I believe everyone has what is called psychic abilities ... although certain individuals are more highly 'gifted' or receptive to them than others.
As with all the varied and asundried types of psychics, some are trustworthy, honest, and forthright. This kind of 'true pyschic' has a respectful regard for the highest good in others.
Granted some so called psychics may be charlatans. These types are mind manipulators and are very clever and convincing. Others who claim to be psychic, I believe, are simply self-deluded and have overactive imaginations -- in which their own personality traits come to the forefront and projected onto their clients. They are not seeing others--only themselves. They may not mean any intentional harm..but they are, most definitely, full of themselves.
Hollywood has given us some fun and scary entertainment... but unfortunately, what is produced for FUN is far too readily accept as "truth" about the Unknown...The impressions given via Hollywood can serve as mind blocks to 'the real thing.' Freddie Kruger and The Exorcist -- neither is what the paranormal is truly about.
Any kind of paranormal activity or phenomena CAN be understood correctly by individuals who are well grounded in their own positive beliefs of safety and self-assurance. I firmly believe that. There is SOOOO much more to life than the little 3D roles that we wake up to and go though from day to day.
In some ways, study of the paranormal can be an intriguing and interesting way to expand one's own consciousness. Unfortunately, religion has done so much damage. and has often completely and totally misrepresented a lot of information that could open up worlds of knowledge leading to a far greater understanding of the depth and breadth of Life Itself.

The God of The Phelps...and the Westboro Church

Does the God of the Phelps family from the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Ks, actually exist?

Yes.

Shocked that I said so? It's all OK. Nothing to worry about. Unless you so choose to worry.

I grew up believing in that same kind of a wrathful, horrid, mean, punishing god. Satan, in comparison, actually seemed rather like a fairly decent guy! Perhaps there are some of you reading this who can relate. It's taken me much of this life to overcome what I know I chose to experience in this lifetime. Whether or not I was imbibing some kind of heavenly nectar when I planned for this...I am not sure.

To go from believing in a hateful, vengeful god to a 'god is love' fluffy-pink concept -- is like expecting to overcome a very embedded addiction in a day's time. Miracles DO happen...but overcoming a self-degrading, self-abasing concept of god takes time and effort and INTENT. And most of all -- "Awareness"...which means you are finally thinking ON YOUR OWN as opposed to responding to all the 'stuff' you have soaked up over the years because authority figures said "this is what you SHOULD believe." Your ultimate freedom involves being willing to focus on new and positive beliefs, especially when you have a lifetime filled with fear-reactions and responses saturating your mind and your psyche.

I heard a speaker once say: "As long as you believe you are a child of god... you will remain a child all your life and never grow spiritually."

So many people are so terrified of this biblical-torah-koran god that they are afraid to say or think any kind of thoughts that are outside of the narrow little box their mind has been encapsulated in.

Thinking of 'god' as ANY kind of entity...even the 'loving father with infinite patience' type entity, is to me, so SMALL its completely ludicrous. In light of the indescribable significance of all of LIFE... to try to contain this force into the word 'god' is even more ludicrous. Humans tend to visualize 'god' as superMAN.

It's so easy to revert back to fear and guilt-conditioned thinking. This is basically what ALL the major religions are about. You have to "be" a certain way in order to please or 'serve' this idea of god in order to be 'good.' Otherwise, you will burn in the everlasting fires of hell. The new more politically-religiously-correct version of god is a sort of hollow escape mechanism by which their god is totally nebulous and without any kind of mental substance. Guess that's part of the 'mysterious ways' eh?

What has happened with people like the Phelps family who first gained notoriety while parading their ugly protest signs in front of Matthew Shephard's parents the day of his funeral? (re: Your son will burn in hell...god hates fags, etc etc) They are the people who have become so saturated IN FEAR (even though it appears as self-righteous anger)...that they have literally become insane. I believe these people are representative of a dark side that is worse than senseless murders on the battlefields... ironically in both of these scenarios, each claims are following the will of god.

Human races and their gods and goddesses have come and gone. Through the many Ages some managed to find the Awareness that enabled them to realize that there is no god separate from what they are themselves. Hard to swallow if you believe you were born sinful, dirty, and unclean....and need to be 'saved.' But try telling that to a Christian, or a Jew, or a Muslim! Each "knows" they are right and will kill those who refuse to agree or cooperate.

What anyone claims or BELIEVES to be his 'god' is what he creates...and therefore, all of these 'gods' DO exist... Jesus hit it right on the button when he said It is ALL done unto you according to your beliefs. Granted, there are some 'truths' hidden (sometimes hidden very well!) in all of organized religions' rule books: Bible, Torah, and Koran...but they should NOT be taken literally, word for word.

We all know people who regard their god as a sort of self-appointed trained pit bull 'who will take care of all those sinners' as these religious people hide inside their shriveled little minds and pretend they are 'trusting god' to take care of all those bad people and situations. I guess its a bit like being protected by the Mafia (or the Phelps family ) if you happen to be a 'member in good standing.'

In some ways...people with UNobvious beliefs are worse. At least the Phelps are not worried about being 'politically correct!' Please do not take that the wrong way. I believe you know exactly what I mean! It is the enemy you canNOT identify that is the principle underlying cause of the bullying, the meanness, the painful suffering...which are often the unseen roots of prejudice and bigotry!

When one adheres to being metaphysical, one has to abandon all blames, all crutches, and stop being a victim. This includes those who claim to be victims and hide behind other people's shortcomings!

In some respects, "Creating Your Own Reality" is that point where what we call 'science and religion' can experience a common ground. Especially so in the field of Quantum Physics. Yes, there is a "higher power" but this higher power is nothing outside of us...it is something we all are a part of. To experience self-illumination or enlightenment...is to realize this. When we realize that we are all part of The One...the same 'force'... we intellectually ...and then spiritually...are able to Let Go of those old fear based concepts and religious dogmas... When we feel At One with ALL THAT IS...we will never harm, hurt, or injure anyone else...OR ourselves. Neither will we want to!
The Egyptians were wise enough to perceive that there is NO NAME for what people call 'god.' The minute we call 'it' by any name -- it immediately diminishes. We are spiritual beings playing a human game -- and we are finding our way back to this magnificent Source. When we self-realize our own 'god-hood' we recognize it's all grounded in Unconditional Love. To "serve god" is to honor and serve The Self. The "I AM." Some will understand that... some might perceive the polar opposite of what I said....and call it blasphemy. Well. Too bad.

Unconditional Love is best defined (thank you P's) as ALLOWING... ALLOWING everything... to be at peace ...and know you create your own reality just as others are creating theirs. Most religious teachings are aimed at keeping us from knowing we are ALL a part of All That Is and that we ALL have this tremendous ability to create our own reality.

In many ways... the new technologies are somewhat representative of the Inner Power I am talking about. It can be very difficult and challenging to understand...and easy to misuse... especially if one believes all the 'answers' are OUTSIDE of us -- and that we need to be obedient and subservient to those 'rules.' The only Law that exists, upon which all other Universal Laws are based, is the Law of Attraction. Sorry, Moses.

I guess I may seem 'unfair' to those religionists who are 'trying to be good people' ... but "I say unto you": (sorry couldn't resist.. )...until you understand the concept of WHY you are 'trying to be good' and WHO you are trying to please and WHY... its will continue to be a slow, rough road to travel. I am not 'blaming' people for being 'into' religion.

My own path was made up of 'trying out different churches/religions' while I was "desperately seeking to please God and find "the" Right Way" ... Finally, I believe my Intent paid off --It opened up my own mind to- and the potential of the Power within myself. I can always see and sense the fear in people who are scared to death of the god they are trying to 'obey' and please. Been there, done that. For so long.

In many ways, this is exactly what the Phelps family is trying to do. Their fear has taken them to the darkest part of the dark side. They are far more afraid of their god than the average "its Sunday better go to church today' type of a person who decides instead to go fishing or hiking or shopping, but 'knows' he isn't 'pleasing his god.' That's the sad part.

And my point is? ?? We all create...and/or accept beliefs. We also create what we call 'our God'... So many of our beliefs are so sadly dis-empowering because of all the fear and guilt conditioning attached to them. For all the people who are still so 'afraid of God' (including those who refuse to admit it) ... eventually we are all 'led to the Light that shines INSIDE of us...which is in our soul.'

I truly believe so many people...ARE...being led to this EnLIGHTenment... Intend and focus on believing that you will be led to the right teachings/teachers at the right time ... and you will. A lot of JOY and HARMONY and plenty of GOOD FEELINGS can accompany you on this journey! In fact, that's a good way to know you are on the right path...the one meant just for you.

Let's Teach Our Children Well...and each other...gently, please, By Our Own Example

I had not seen this video, a clip from the Ellen Show of Oct 9, '09, (on which Judy Shephard was a guest) until yesterday. I will never forget it. It was a heart warming presentation of Matthew's life. Additionally, it was also heart-tugging because of what Judy told about the deer that had been nesting in a bush close to Matthew's body. The lady biker who found him, told Judy about the deer that appeared to have been nesting all night near Matthew's body. To me, that deer was an angel meant to be seen by the lady who found Matthew. It brought tender comfort to the family and friends -- knowing this little creature watched over Matt's body during that dreadful night. Strange how such terrible tragedy... and soul felt beauty... can co-exist in the same space. Such is the irony of Life.

Many of us have lost loved ones in tragic ways, and we well understand Matt's story, somehow in some way. Many of us have learned it is our responsibility to stand up and speak out against prejudice of ANY kind. This is, I believe, especially important when it comes to racial issues and sexual orientation.
I believe it would make such a positive impact on mass consciousness if we would only speak up and say something as simple as: "I'm sorry, but I don't appreciate your remarks."
If someone we know or do not know makes a derogatory remark, it can be far too easy to just 'sit there' and not speak up...even when something within us is telling us that we must take a stand...be it just a quiet, gentle one. Sometimes the quieter and more simplistic it is, the more effective it is. Yelling and preaching usually brings about: "What you resist, persists."
A friend of mine said once that a very effective remark is: "I'm sorry that you feel that way." It is not necessary to be confrontational and argue...regardless of what their retort might be.
From Crosby, Stills, and Nash's "Teach Your Children Well" the lyrics emphasize the importance of loving and understanding one another. We must choose to do the right thing. I believe that parents can be THE most important influence on their children's potential for tolerance, acceptance, and allowing.
ts so important not just to say "Don't say that...its not 'nice' " without explaining the WHY NOT. Parents and all others authority figures to children need to take the time to explain more as to how prejudicial remarks and actions HURTS not only others -- but also themselves. ANY of you who claim to be metaphysical know exactly what I am talking about. When you willfully hurt another you disconnect yourself from Source... this is not what we want.
Example: the Jones's and the Smiths meet for a BBQ and little Johnny makes a disparaging remark about gays... it needs to be addressed immediately regardless of how 'embarrassed' one gets or how afraid of 'what kind of reaction' someone might have. Addressed not with scolding or put downs... but firmly, with love. Can you imagine the tremendous effect this kind of action would have on mass consciousness if everyone would do this at this level??!!... It could have such a powerfully healing effect!
To those who merely give 'lip service' to tolerance but are filled with hatred, bigotry, and prejudice... __Life will be their teacher.__ If not in THIS life...than in another. Don't feed them your attention.
But it is for us 'who know better' who must take a stronger, and yet gentle, stand and not tolerate callous or derogatory remarks.
We are becoming Legion...we are awakening and growing by leaps and bounds... It is not for us to 'convert' others to our way of thinking. We'll leave that to the Radical Right. ANY teaching not based on unconditional love (which simply means Allowing) will never ultimately succeed.
Let's just do what WE know we need to do. Far too many of us are overly concerned about 'looking cool' or worried about what other people think. This is cowardice. There is a time to speak...and a time to be silent. We KNOW the difference if we listen to our Inner Being.
Consider this: Look who is truly suffering the MOST when it comes to what 'other people think'... Gays, people of color, the handicapped, etc etc. Each one of us, individually, has to do what "I" need to do... that is our responsibility. Eventually, we WILL be able to see the impact that courage and love have on our world. Believe.

"Bullshit TALKS...'but Money WALKS....

Sometimes, it takes awhile..... to catch on and reeeally understand what we claim we 'know'... Perhaps our illumination of understanding was more akin to a 25 watt bulb -- instead of a 100 watt. We could still 'see' ...but not all that clearly.
We are like that ... we 'see' things and agree that, yes, this is the way it should be for me ... However, there remains a good chance that we are examining the beliefs that Create Our Reality...with a 25 watt bulb. When we need that 100 watt. As we know...everything...yes, everything is "done unto us according to our beliefs."
We always have a choice. We don't "have to" see anything. We can always choose to hang onto our present, perhaps not-fully-examined beliefs. But, if we really want to know why we crash into walls or trip over stumbling blocks time and again... then Life will present us with the exact experiences we need to change our 25 watt into a 100 watt bulb so we finally "see the light" ...
If we so choose.
Its SO easy to say 'this is what I believe'...or 'that is what I believe'... Talk is easy. Talk is cheap. Sometimes what we claim we believe isn't even related to what we truly believe. The saying "bullshit talks, but money walks" is true. Actually we do pay for what we get. The price we pay for spiritual growth and expanded consciousness is generally equivalent to how much pride or ego is directing us. We 'pay' by being willing to give up 'being right' (or have to be SEEN by others as right) in order to be free of a situation. It's not always easy.
Being "free" doesn't mean we will necessarily change a situation --or--a person... It means we can be inwardly free of what caused OUR problem, our misery, and especially --our reaction-- to it. THOSE things are really the problems... and not 'situations or people.' Even when we appear to others to be 'victims'...or treated unfairly.
Having recently gone through a 'light bulb change' myself ... my 'seeing' experience was doubly reinforced when I sat and listened to a friend ramble on and on about her relationship with a friend. The 'lines' were all too familiar: "Well, SHE is going to have to change her ways if she wants me to be her friend and help her out.".."I am not going to put up with it if he refuses do this or that." "Can't she see how self-centered and self-serving she is being!" "Why can't he change and treat ME like I want him to treat me." "I'm just not going to take crap from her anymore!" etc etc etc ...
We've all been there and done that.
We may even believe we are being very reasonable, logical, justified, and 'fair' about it all, and others are 'on our side.' None of that, however, solves what amounts to their... but our problem...
I used to get a bit annoyed when the teacher Abraham would say "YOU are in charge of your own reaction...and of the way you feel" because we are so quick to want to come up with our 'yeah but's'...and all of our self-righteous justifications.
Those people are indeed self-blessed when they realize that no one else is obligated to make us happy ... no one is under contract by the universe to 'change' for us so that we can be happy... Setting ALL excuses aside as to why we think they SHOULD do that ... we are then left with "it's all up to me" ... And the somewhat ironic part is: once we recognize this, and __adopt this belief__ we find that things go better for us. Not because "they" or "it" has changed...but because we have taken back our own inner power are gaining a better understanding of HOW we Create Our Own Reality.
To walk away from a person or situation is NOT the answer....unless we first take full responsibility for 'seeing' with that 100 watt bulb what OUR problem is in the situation...the real insight as to the "why" did __I attract__ this situation or person to me., rather than believe myself to be an innocent victim.
Blaming 'the other' ...or 'the circumstances' will only invite the same exact problem into our lives, until we SEE our into our own belief system (which is at the root of what we have created.) Otherwise, we will, once again, invite a different setting, perhaps with different role players... maybe even another lifetime....until we 'get it.' The choice is always ours. If we are smart we will see what really 'empowers' us. Until we choose to believe we are Creators...rather than Blamers... what we call "God" will always remain something that is outside of us.
I can appreciate Seth's saying: "If you have nothing else to do, sit and sift through some of your beliefs if you want to recognize why your life is going as it is... if you are liking it...or not liking it."
Much of what we think of as our 'powerlessness' comes from believing we have a right to be hurt, angry, frustrated, grievous, etc. We have a 'right' to out emotions. So let them flow through us but stop and THINK...or be MINDFUL...as Buddhism would teach us: that what we CHOOSE to hold on to will manifest into our reality.
We don't 'get rid of' or 'destroy' beliefs we don't want. Everything exists. What we CAN do is focus upon and give our attention to what we WANT to believe. Our "present reality" will not change if we are stuck with the belief that it can't be changed! So, it's probably a far better idea to spend a lot more time thinking about what really DOES make us Happy... the kind of happy that is at one with peace ...the kind of peace that "Passeth All Understanding" (or logic and reason.) Real happiness is NOT about 'being right' or 'getting even' or some kind of a 'I'll show you!" attitude. That will only keep us stuck with the same problems.
As the P's say: "You are the gods/goddesses of the Universe"... In this time of hard-pressing energy, perhaps its 'time' we acted like it, eh?? OK! It's time for us to Walk The Talk... cuz we know what a lot of 'just talk' amounts to, yup!..nothin' but bullshit.

Yup! Shit is Happening...and Hitting our Own Personal Fans...

Most of agree that much change is taking place. The energy is seemingly becoming stronger every day. Nothing is the same. Sometimes it just feels weird!

It's somewhat like The Law of Attraction is doing overtime. Reaction to our Actions is swift and right in our facec. There seems to be less and less of a buffer of time...which means that previously we could afford to ignore things, put things off, 'get away with' things...and possibly even retract something so that we did not have to suffer immediate consequences of anything we might have said of done. Not so anymore. Nope.

Time seems to be traveling at an unparalleled speed. Its truly like watching a cassette tape speeding towards the end... even though we 'experience' our daily routines at the same 'speed'...but as we refelct and observe, we are astounded at how fast it is going ... Towards the End? In a way, yes.

I happen to be one who believes we will experience a part of mass consciousness that we have chosen to attach ourselves to. No, shit doesn't just happen. What is flying in our face is what needs to be looked at and attended to.

Rather than spend a lot of time bemoaning the 'shit that happens'...(We still create our own reality if we believe we do or not)...I think we would benefit by simply addressing the problem and deciding what to do about it. For the most part, when we say 'shit happens'...we are implying that we had absolutely NOTHING to do with it ... that something has happened that had nothing at all to do with our thoughts, behavior, or beliefs. Once we accept that yes, we DO create/co-create what happens...it actually is a huge relief~! It takes us out of victim mentality and allows us to be in touch with our Inner Power which totally eludes us as long as we play the Blame Game...or insist that 'nothing caused it'... 'it just happens.'

I think a limited amount of time wondering "why" the shit happens is a good thing ...EVEN IF...we cannot 'see' why certain things came about. It's tempting to spend too much time 'looking for the cause of why this happens to me.' When we DO believe we 'have found it'... it's usually interpreted as: "NOW I know who to blame!!...and that can be one of the worst traps we fall into...That mental trap is lined with velcro. It encourages us to experience a false euphoria that comes with 'finding the answer:' NOW I know... it was my mother's fault! my lover's fault! my miserable childhood, any and all traumatic experiences, etc, etc... NOW I have a reason for the --way I respond-- which means I am perfectly justified in the way that I feel. I knew it wasn't my fault! So there. Problem solved. Not.

So with so much shit flying around the world over...aiming to hit our own personal fan... It is time that we reaffirm that whatever happens to us is trying to tell us something ...and the message/answer is always 'right there. We never experience anything that we are not a vibrational match to. That is Universal Law. Hard to take, yes, but an ultimate truth.

You have probably noticed as you listen to conversations, that the bulk of talk revolves around 'who is at fault' in the world, in our government, in our homes, including our own personal relationships. And yes, we find ourselves participating actively in this type of folderaol at times, don't we?! But something inside of us gnaws at us...You see, we know better... Yes, we do. All of you reading this KNOW better. (or you would have already clicked out of this site! :) Our radar IS working. We can surpress it...but when we do...THEN shit happens to us, hits our personal fan, and we our knocked for an emotional loop.

It is really high time for us to ...as Buddhism says: Be Mindful. Be mindful of what we are thinking and saying and doing...(and that ain't always easy! We need to pay attention to How We Feel...that being the biggest clue as to whether or not we are standing in the Light or the Shadows. Yes, we DO know how to differentiate our feelings... knowing if they are coming from gratifying and satisfying the Ego... or if they come from that place of Inner Knowing... even if its feels a bit shakey at times. That's OK. We will keep getting stronger...if we want to be aligned with Source. We KNOW what the lessons are we need to learn. Yes, we do. Others do not.... WE do. We know it has only to do with US... not with others or blaming others in any way. Ouch, says the Ego!

We are standing on the brink of a HUGE change...a shift. A Shift in consciousness...and its up to us if we decide to go with the type of mass consciousness that reflects the world being in a hellava mess ... or... a world in which we find ourselves in touch with Who We Really Are... Empowered Beings on our way to bigger and better and more exciting things, reflections of All That Is...and loving it.

Having An Opinion...Do We Have a Right to Express It?

If you want to 'get along' with everybody, if you believe it is your life's purpose to have everyone like, admire, and adore you; constantly shower you with approval and validation, there are some very basic rules you must follow.
You must constantly strive to speak innocuous pleasantries so that no one can take issue with anything that you say or do. It may become necessary for you to live your life in a state of denial or avoidance ... ignoring any old or new ideas, possibilities, and beliefs, especially conclusions of any kind. It's best just to keep afloat on a cloud of nothingness and never offer up anything except agreement with everybody. Above all else...never, ever express any opinion that appears to have any emotion attached to it...and if you do offer an _opinion_ -- make sure you constantly apologize for it, adding things like: "I know I'm probably wrong, but..." or "I know you all know a lot more than I do.." -- things like that which drip with humility and meekness. Additionally It might help you to sound hesitant or uncertain. Just make sure you continuously praise everyone -- and for goodness sake, never, ever DISagree with them.
In some cases it might help to act cute and funny and adorable...and perhaps throw a little neediness into the mix. It also helps to debase and deride yourself upon occasion, because that gives others the chance to bolster your ego and give you a never ending supply of reassurance. Above all...never, ever do or say anything that might possibly indicate you have your own ideas, beliefs, or opinions. If you do happen to develope this ungainly aspect... make sure you are ready to retract your ideas immediately, quickly agreeing with whomever is countering you. Most importantly of all.. make sure that whatever you say agrees with the status quo, so no one can possibly assign to you or connect you to anything that might be controversial. Might you recognize anyone like this?

If the worst criticism that is ever leveled at you is: "You are too opinionated".. congratulate yourself. You are not afraid to say what you want, when you want. It means you are utilizing your god-given right to draw from your life experience and apply what you have learned to everyday living. Some will appreciate your forthrightness...others might feel uncomfortable at having to examine their own beliefs. They may not like having to agree OR disagree with you because 'taking a stand' for what one believes in -- causes many folks a lot of squirming and discomfort. Seom will continue to play both sides of the fence.

I am not advocating extremism, insensitivity, or the putting down of anybody's opinions but one has to be willing to express what one believes in without apology. What we believe in today...we may change our minds about in the future. Some say: "It's better to keep your opinions to yourself"... WHY? Has political correctness taken us to the point where all we can do is be still, silent...for fear of upsetting somebody elses unstable applecart? I agree that there is a 'time and place' to express our opinions...but to not be willing to express yourself at all usually implies you don't actually believe in your opinions...or are too afraid of gaining disfavor with others.

I _am_ rightly accused to being 'opinionated' ... but my accusers can never accuse me of being unwilling to admit to a multiplicity of mistakes, or sitting on 'better than's,' or refusing to listen to the opinions of others. Expansion of consciousness, of light, or any kind of intelligence does not take root or grow in soil that is never dug into, disturbed, rained on, or given fertilizer. In other words, sometimes people have to give you 'shit' so that you can grow. However, the choice to remain closed down is always available.

One of my favorite teachers posed a question to me that I remember to this day. "OK, Betty" he said, "I know what you are against...you've made that clear. Now can you tell me what you are FOR...and make that just as clear?" Good, huh? Protestors know what they are against... but what you resist, persists... and we must make known not just what we are against, but what we are for. As Ghandi said... "you must Peace for Peace." That was his 'opinion' ... I'm glad he was stilling to express it.

PREJUDICE: A Problem we ALL share...

Someone asked me the other day if I had ever written an article on 'prejudice.' And I answered, no, not directly. Why? --she wondered to which I replied that I probably would make too many politically incorrect statements... to which she replied: since when has that ever stopped you before?

That became my motivation... Let the political incorrectness fall where it may.

At this moment, I am wondering what you might be thinking... Will I perhaps write things that anger or upset people? That is absolutely not my intention... I just will write from my heart, the way I feel...which I honestly believe is not too unlike what any of you might be thinking or feeling or this somewhat volatile subject.

The word prejudice has both Latin and French roots...basically meaning "to react in a preconceived way' with one's thoughts or feelings... Prejudice, is, for the most part, I believe, is something that is taught to us. It is something we learn...however, if we are willing to suspend the judgement concept of this word for just a moment... I will venture to say that prejudice, in a lesser way, is also somewhat innate.

In our well-meaning efforts to 'think and do and say' the 'right thing' ...we often deny our true feelings or initial reactions. Perhaps if we take more of a detached view of these feelings and reactions, and refuse to judge ourselves so harshly for having unkind thoughts...we would better be able to deal with those thoughts and find a genuinely workable, do-able way of finding our way back to Feeling Good ... which means being connected to our Inner Being, our Source.... In doing so, we would be able to FREE ourselves from any hurt our thoughts could potentially cause.

The first year I taught school, my school principal would've been referred to as a really tough ol' broad. She was extremely direct, intelligent and perceptive. This particular school (approx 600 students) was composed of nearly 70% impoverished black students... and the rest were very poor white students. After the first few weeks of school, we had a teachers' meeting. Mrs. V wanted our honest reactions to the students and the challenging situations we encountered. This perky little teacher of 3rd graders, with her ready made Miss America contest speech, said: "Why, I'm at the point where I don't even see any color differences." We all smiled weakly but Mrs. V immediately grounded us with: "What are you...BLIND?"

We didn't end the meeting by standing in a huggy circle singing 'Jesus loves the little children of the world"... most likely dashing Ms Nice Blind Teacher's hopes...

Mrs. V was the most FAIR as well as the most forthright principal I've ever known. The somewhat shocking point she laid on us newbies, is still applicable to all of us to this day... in every facet of our everyday lives. If one cannot see the wisdom of Mrs. V's poignant lesson...it means one is not ready to deal with one's own prejudice in a responsible way.

Because we DO see that we are 'different' from each other... what comes automatically to our sensory cells simply says: 'different.' This applies to everything and everyone that we hold prejudice towards. Rich, poor, black, white, Mideastern, Western, gay, straight, educated, uneducated, north, south...and oh MY!-- is prejudice rampid in the wide, wide world of organized religion and politics. Prejudice knows few boundaries....and NO ONE is exempt. There is however, nothing "wrong" with observing extremely obvious differences. There is nothing wrong with BEING different. We tend to Fear our differences.

Prejudice has its basis in Fear. I believe the spiritual teachers who tell us that everything in life flows from one of two sources: One is Love...the Other is Fear. In the world of Duality, this is expressed as the Yin and the Yang... Overall, it is still One.

Notwithstanding the little justifications our 'stories' are based on, giving us an air of superiority upon the constant retelling of them, we have to start dispensing with those stories! Including all the 'look what's been done to me' angles; encompassing all of history the world over starting from Day One... We hang onto those stories and excuses--with no intent to LET GO of them! Because after all, we are 'right.' Self-righteousness is propped up by both anger and fear ... but of the two, Fear is the stronger.

I very honestly believe the vast majority of people I have ever come across have a lot of love in them and wish no harm towards others. There are times we certainly don't act this way, however....a prime example of this being the way some people act out on their feelings of prejudice. The only way one can effectively deal with any kind of problem that we may have is to own up to it. Not necessarily to others...but to oneself. This is imperative if we really want to align ourselves spiritually with what truly makes us Feel Good. Those of you who are familiar with the teachings of Abraham know that to Feel Good means one is aligned with one's Inner Being, The Source, The Expanded Self. You are 'on track' spiritually.

When a person acts negatively towards another human being, be it physically or verbally, outright, or by innuendo, in any way that belittles, harms, or degrades the other...one is NOT aligned with All That Is...with Source...as some would say: with God.

I believe I can assume that each person reading this blog has been a target of some kind of prejudice...be it racially or involving the aspects aforementioned that tend to make us targets...OR...by which we make others our targets of prejudice. As I said in last week's article... "the world is saturated with an overall feeling of victimhood." It is perhaps, the singlemost disempowering belief or idea that any individual can possess. Bar none. It's always everybody else's fault. It might be interesting here to take note of what you, yourself, are thinking as the examples came to your own mind. Chances are, those might be one's own biggest excuses, or utmost defense mechanisms, that keep us from admitting to and _owning_ what we need to Let Go of. Funny how we want to chime in with those "Yeah, buts!" eh?

We have all created this world in which we live. This is what we do. We create. We learn. We expand our consciousness. There are those who may still actcompletely clueless...but that is just the way IT IS. I am not writing this to instruct "How To Get Over Your Prejudice!" ... We can each only take care of ourselves. A nice side benefit is when, by the vibrations that we TRULY vibrate outwardly (Not a bunch of high-sounding words) to others...we DO help spread the Love that is in the core of each and everyone of our beings.

I can share what works for me... most of the time!

#1) OWN those fearful or angry or disgusting feelings of prejudice that crop up inside of us. Being in denial keeps us trapped.

#2) Don't judge or be prejudiced against yourself!... OWN the feelings...but know you are a much greater being that is capable of making choices that align you with who you REALLY are. A creator.

#3) Admit that regardless of how justified we feel in our anger, hatred, or self-righeousness or victimhood... NONE of it makes us FEEL GOOD.

#4) We never have the right to hurt or harm others by word or deed. These are CHOICES. Our thoughts have NO POWER to create _unless_ we continuously focus on and give attention to them.

#5) Avoid people and situations that feed on hatred or prejudice. If you practice this long enough you will find your inner vibrations changing and certain situations/ people will not materialize in your personal experience!

#6) If the "cause" you are supporting is practicing hate by fighting 'against hate'...know it's self perpetuating and making things worse. The War On is always lost....always.

#7) This one is aimed at those who are striving to do their best on a spiritual, metaphysical path. Know that you CAN trust your feelings. You KNOW the difference between the Ego That Needs to Win -- and Feeling Good, you KNOW when you are aligned with Source, Spirit, God, Inner Being, etc. Let our words towards others not be those of a phony goody-two-shoes... but one that says "I ALLOW YOU to be who you are." Being kind and respectful is actually easier than one might think. Turning the other cheek provides the ultimate win over one's own scared Ego. Political Correstness will never "solve" the problem of prejudice... but it will make the problem deeper and of yet even more concern.

Finally...to bring this to a close with what Seth taught us. "You have lived thousands of lives. _YOU HAVE DONE IT ALL"___ We play ALL roles honoring the Yin and the Yang... Saint and Sinner, Enlightened and Sound Asleep...this is how we expand our consciousness. So basically, NO ONE has the right to point fingers. Twinkle, twinkle, little star...what you say is...mostly likely what you have been in another lifetime...

We cannot solve the 'prejudice' problem of the world...but we CAN live our own lives so that it becomes nearly non-existant for us. It really is up to each one of us. You know: "sweep in front of your own doorstep..." That'll work!

The Light and the Dark, Transforming, and The Price of Green Beans...

Life is a mixture of Light and Dark. We could not define / recognize one without the other. The advantage that Light has -- is that it is capable of spreading, reaching out, all on its own. If you are in a Dark room and open the door to a room filled with Light...the Light floods in. A room filled with Light is not going to suddenly be filled with Darkness by opening the door to a Dark room. As simple and elementary as that analogy is... it has, perhaps, greater meaning to it than what we give credit to.
Some say Darkness is merely the absence of Light. Maybe... but we cannot underestimate its importance as a tool we have chosen to learn how to play this Game on Earth... how to create...how to manifest... and to REMEMBER who we really are. Creators.
Once we Awaken to a deeper meaning of Life, we realize that we DO have Free Will. We are capable of Choices...
During our journey through Life, it seems we are facing a continuous series of crossroads ... daily!... always having to decide which path to choose... the path of Light or the path of Darkness. Nicknamed: Feels Good...and... Doesn't Feel Good...We don't always know immediately which one is 'best' for us... So we just play the Game and chalk it up to Experience... Experience brings us expansion of consciousness. Since we, as Human Beings, are infused with and in both Light and Dark (Duality) and are playing this Game called Life On Earth, we will be contending with duality. It's reeeeeally nice when we start learning the Metaphysical Basics. Light makes us Feel Good. Darkness, on the other hand, comes with a kazillion 'problems.'
At some point in our evolution, we must be willing to dispense with the words "good" and "bad." In other words, we need to willingly, mentally, and spiritually learn to transcend Duality. Buddhism, especially Zen, teaches us to learn to Step Back and see it all as Illusion. I've learned that doesn't mean avoiding what is... just getting a better 'view.'
I read something very interesting yesterday. It can be really wonderful when one gets a new take on something...a slightly altered perspective that helps us to understand some of the 'old stuff' even better. In the book "Transition Now, Redefining Duality, 2012 and Beyond" ... Patricia Cori talks about the world's greatest problem as being: _Victim Mentality_. She explains how continuously viewing ourselves as victims of _whatever_ we experience in this world, is the largest stumbling block to our recognizing that we are Creators in charge of our own reality. Even the term "survivor" can present an equally large speed bump because it validates the BELIEF in Victimhood -- implying that we are simply here to SURVIVE Life... When we become willing to 'step back' and take a look at 'the world' we are seeing-- one sees the immensity of Victim Mentality everywhere!... with its constant emphasis on overcoming, the war on, the struggle, the suffering, etc etc etc ... Most of us have awakened to the fact that "The War On__" is never won ... Victimhood is truly a world-wide mindset.
Bringing it closer to home...'us' ... Just think about how often we think of ourselves as Victims...I don't mean just the obvious --the poor, piteous dirty street persons in raggedy clothes...or someone starving, withering away in a 3rd world country ... but how we think of ourselves as victims of our Government, the health care system, our education system, the banking system, our jobs, bad bosses, bad marriages or relationships, addictions, down to that price of a can of green beans!!... Look at this idea of victimhood as anything and everything that makes us feel we have to struggle, survive, overcome, defeat, tolerate, conquer, subdue, outlast, etc etc etc ...
We just hope and pray we make it from day to day, sigh, whine... always looking back at the suffering of the past,... afraid of the suffering of the future. Kinda puts us in mind of that miserable motto: Life's a bitch...and then you die..."
Much of this sorry attitude has been drilled into us from the day we were born.... (ok, almost...) "God" has had his good name drug into it by far to many being religiously convinced that GOOD Jews, Christians, and Muslims SUFFER because God loves you more if you 'fight the good fight' and then you will appreciate your "reward" better when you kick the bucket.
Now. If you DO step back a bit and see all of this...it truly DOES take on a sense of cosmic humor.
I know how tempting it is to retort: Yeah, but...let's get 'realistic' here... and mayhaps there are a kazillion 'examples' with which you can prove and justify your 'case for misery and suffering.' (And yes, I know the price of canned green beans recently rose from 89 cents to $1.29....)
I am not trying to belittle anyone's problems, grief, or challenges ... but I will be the FIRST one to willingly admit that I give WAY too much time concentrating on what 'has happened' or what 'might happen'. Now, come on. First thing we need to do is "own it." Then --we can do something about it!
Abe continuously stresses how we are applauded and rewarded for putting our canoes in the river, furiously and diligently paddling upstream. The greater the struggle, the more we get patted on the back. We've been taught it's the ONLY way to 'get ahead.' Except for those rich people we hate ...
Seth says (as do other great teachers) YOU GET _more of_ WHAT YOU GIVE YOUR ATTENTION TO AND CONCENTRATE UPON... that is how we Create. That is the immutable Law of Attraction. We must also allow what we wish to Create by Letting Go of the beliefs we deep-down KNOW do not work...
When we 'fail' in spite of all our hard work --we blame ourselves. Talk about the greatest vicious circle of them all. Sometimes the command "Pay attention!" is not the best idea...if it keeps us focused on the 'reality' of 'what is' rather than what we want. Being mindful of our bad feeling thoughts and our undirected imagination is something that bears watching, however...
Karma is generally used as a cop out. I've done it. And if I can admit to it, so can you! Karma is 'held in place' by one's belief in it and refusal to Let It Go. Two main reasons for being obsessed with Karma: One) insistance that I must 'pay' for what I have done, and Two) insistance that the OTHER guy better damn well pay for what he has done! By gum!
Belief in karma as punishment may seem easier than taking responsibility and realizing that we DO Create Our Reality...we Create It All ... deliberately and intentionally... or by Default -- which means not knowing better, and /or/not examining or admitting to certain self-destructive beliefs that set up vibrations which draw unhappy things to us.
Karma can and does serve as a teacher. Just don't get it confused with some wrathful god 'up there somewhere' who is watching your every thought or move and ready to zap you... Once we recognize something we have done is "wrong" ...and we determine not to repeat it...it cancels the need for Karma. But, if we keep insisting upon Karma as an inevitable result...we will draw more and more happenings to us that will attract its presence. Like walking into that Dark Room and expecting to 'pay for it' by stumbling, falling, getting hurt, or harming something we don't 'see.'...
We get SO caught up in our dramas!...mainly because we see ourselves as 'victims who must survive' ... we DO this...if we admit to it or not. Until our spirituality expands to the point where we can SEE what we are doing to ourselves... the Struggle and Suffering will continue. Do we really KNOW what it is like or do we really WANT to accept the term "Creator"... or will we continue to assign that to some separate-from-us ourside force...and play the victim.
FEAR OF BEING WRONG is what keeps us on the old paths, leading us into those Dark Rooms... It's like always expecting the worst, instead of realizing the Dark is simply there to show us what ...in plain language...Feels Good...or doesn't Feel Good. Connected to Source...or not... If we insist that everything must be complicated and difficult...well, then we can rest assured, it is exactly what we will keep experiencing.
Life will never be without road bumps...sometimes we might even crash into a big wall...but it keeps us AWAKE...and oh MY...the more we Awaken, the faster the Recovery Time!!... Fnally we 'get it' that the Contrast is what we need to see the Light.
As we approach 2012...life will become (IMO) more testy, defining, and demanding. This newer, tougher energy is coercing us into 'making up our minds' about what we want. The Energy is truly getting faster and stronger... anyone not realizing this is still sound asleep. But! We are not. Right? Right!
IMAGINE what you want... Focus on that. Give it Your Attention. DAY DREAM!-- and do it beautifully. Be willing to look "reality" in the face and say "Screw you! Thanks for the lesson...but I am moving on to bigger and better things!"
